This is the episode that Michael has to hold his breath to give KITT the needed oxygen to turbo boost out of the buried dirt.
Which makes no sense if we're honest lol.
The title should have been more like "KITT Gets Buried (TRASHED😆) by a Bulldozer." After all, he said he "I'M TRASHED" in the next clip!😆😂
I initially had no interest with this show because I thought it was another series about a cop. It wasn't until I watched it while visiting a friend, that the car was what made the show special.

4:10 highly detailed miniature model of KITT being pushed into the cliff. This work was made by Jack Sessums and Pete Slage. As KITT is being falling you can appreciate the work on this model, the undercarriage looks amazing, like the real deal.
At 4:09, before they cut to the model, that looks like the pilot car by John Ward, with the stock nose covers? They really did use a mish mash of cars and shots!

Nobody talks about the very stock looking Trans Am with the doll inside that get's pushed off the cliff? Alright, I'll be the first then 😉 I know it was one of the trainwreck cars that had to be destroyed after the series ended anyway, but it still seems like a waste somehow. I just love the '82 Trans Am.
That stock looking Trans Am was an 83 model according to its front seats. The episode teaser shows a lot more of the roll over than the episode itself.

Also if you look closely at the last shot from the up, not only the roof is broken, the rear wing is falling off as the car bumps down there. But back in the day on small CRT screens nobody could see it.
@@piotrmalewski8178 true I never noticed all these details back in the days. I started noticing them when they released the DVD's. And the Blu-ray shows even more of the hidden details. It would be awesome if they released the 4 seasons in 4K.
@@vinpetrol4309 I think this show would have been awesome if they edited dialogues in some scenes and gave some CGI treatment to the scenes made with scale models and the flivver car.
Not much, just remove nonsenses, improve the model looks and get rid of that light shining through the bottom of the flivver car. Everything else, like the real Trans Am jumps would remain unedited.

1:25 white shirt 1:40 dark shirt 1:44 white shirt // Looks like the molecular bonded shell didn't hold up well at all at 4:16, haha. // Also, you'd think by now Michael should know that when KITT recommends a withdrawal, it would be wise to take it.
Look closely and you can see that man wearing the black jacket is NOT the Hoff. It is a stunt driver from a stock footage shot. Poor editing. Remember though, back in the 80's there was no Hi Def TV and no one would've realized it back then.
@@marky456x It appears they didn't want to pay Hoff for driving the car whenever it was possible to get away with that, because he did a few pretty decent car stunts when it was required to show his face.
I remember an interview with david ..telling of some very tough days shooting in black car (kitt) with NO aircon ...no surprise he had different shirts
@@keithlestrange4249 No, it's just that Knight Rider had terrible editing. They would even put shots with finger pushin button when KITT was supposed to drive without a driver.
Overall it has the be the most poorly made of all famous 80s TV shows. Wrong clothes, mysterious fingers, people looking in wrong directions during different shots of the same conversation, that sort of thing.
In one episode KITT tells Micheal to go into reverse and 3 seconds later asks: "Why reverse? We could have jumped over it!"

You know for the longest time I always thought that the way they made KITT drive by himself was with a remote control setup
Nope, they had two cars where the driver was hidden inside/behind the seat 😉
@@Theratron Actually makes more sense than just costs saving. Those cars did some stuntdriving and feedback from the car (all the movements, g forces shocks etc. that hit driver's back) are crucial for controlling a car when it's sliding.
@@piotrmalewski8178 True, but to be honest I'm not even sure the technology was available at the time. These days it is, as someone here in the Netherlands (I believe his name is Bjorn Harms) has made a remote controlled KITT. It's still impressive what he can do with it. He has plenty of videos here on UA-cam if you're curious 😉
@@Theratron Analogue electronics could easily do remote control back then.
This technology first turned up in the XIXth century. By 1930s even remote controlled tanks existed. Search 'Teletank'. It was radio-controlled, could turn, fire machine guns, flamethrowers, drop time bombs etc.

I like how any word these days is a new word and gets it's own definition. !!!OR!!! It gets added to an actual word's definition as a "type of spelling" of said "new word"....
Hited? tf.... Even if you forgot a second "t" and meant "Hitted", that's still not a word. In case the owner of the channel changes the title, as of right now it says "KITT Is Hited By Tractor". It's not "K.I.T.T. Is Hit By _a_ Tractor" but "Hited By Tractor!"
