It is finally time to play Victoria 3! I have been given early access to take a look at Victoria 3, thanks to the wonderful @paradoxinteractive sponsoring this video of their brand new, latest grand strategy game! And what did they ask of me? To play as GLORIOUS SWEDEN of course!
In this video, Koifish will take Sweden, a middling nation in the north of Europe, and turn it into a powerhouse of industry, technology and prestige! Using my immense knowledge of Victoria 3, I will guide my home country to prosperity, through war and diplomacy, and eventually unite and form Scandinavia!
The best way I can describe Victoria 3 is a mix a money making tycoon game and a grand strategy simulator like EU4, HoI4 and CK3! I've had a blast in the games that I've played, both in singleplayer and multiplayer. There's nothing more satisfying than getting a good chain of production going, to tend to your nation and watch it grow into a great power!
No matter if you are a Victoria 2 veteran, or completely new to the game series, this video will act as a guide and walkthrough full of tips and tricks! We'll take you through the basics of the game, guide you through the challenging battles of the economy, and show you how to beat the game! Not only did I learn that Swedish lumberjacks have to fight trolls and drunken horses, they also have to stop the local peasantry from eating the cobblestone from the road. Thank you, Koifish!

Paradox games tends to be easy on the CPU, lightly threaded (mostly limited by a single CPU core), but also a bit of poorly optimized spagetti code.
I haven't tried this particular game, but if it's in anyway like the others that's probably true here too.
So your laptop will probably do just fine.
But make sure that you limit the frame rate and don't play at too high a speed.
@@Luredreier I used to play Hoi4 on my laptop and everything you said rings true to my experiences. You seemed to have forgotten the part where running high end mods forced my laptop to commit unalive, but other than that yeah, if you keep your laptop updated then paradox games should run just fine.

Fun Fact: The king of Sweden at this point was actually Napoleon's Marshal Bernadotte
I also think he lived 100 years in the game as in 1863 19:32 when it changed to the union mark, it was not used until after his death

@@hagalathekido but hes swedish, it says it in his bio and he says it many many times in this video, which is why they asked him to play specifically sweden. danish people are from denmark and swedish people are from sweden, you cant use them interchangeably.

Interestingly, Sweden had the chance for unification in 1864 if they had helped in the invasion of Denmark by the Prussians. Pan-Scandinavianism was extremely high at the time, too. Hope you can do it diplomatically in Vic3, that would be a really cool feature.

As long as your credit isn't more than half, it should be fine. Your credit limit will gradually increase, and as long as you aren't racking up debt too fast, the cap will grow at the same rate that your debt is, therefore you'll never default. It's basically modern deficit spending, at least prior to the last 3 years...
