    Sorry I ain't balling like some of you here buying the newest ride, but I just jumped from a 06 636 to an 08 zx10r and I love it. 15k miles for $4500 I think it was a good purchase.

    Great review. The RSV4 only gets faster with the Corse ECU, but it makes the bike smoother which I wasnt expecting. Ride it like a old RS250 2 stroke and it's another level. You can tell Biaggi was involved in its development!

      Some of us are over 6-foot and have never had any issues, even with rearsets, skinny bike but long, plenty of room to move about etc, partly what also makes it a darn fine road bike to boot.

      How you find the Graves pipe on the RSV4? For the money it looks killer, I ended up going for the titanium Project SC Racing Oval (good power, sounds deep, not too loud etc)?

    • @fastbikes
      @fastbikes 6 років тому +2

      You're right, just a pipe and a map, extra tooth on the rear and it's amazing (if still a bit big and cumbersone in relation to the rest). But we test out of the crate, what the consumer buys first and foremost and, as such, it's a little lacking in some areas - but still awesome!

    BMW and Aprilia were initially designed when electronics were just being introduced. I am guessing that having a solid mechanical platform is still the most important aspect. Nice to see a comparatively tiny company like Aprilia stick it to the big boys and their massive budget and resources. Like they said, they are all very close when it comes to performance so no wrong choice nowadays.

Think the Pani will improve in time they probably need to further improve the chasis having said that, the margins are small and all of these bikes are good. The chasis and engine of the Aprilia has been a blessing to many riders around the globe NOW you can get these at decent prices compared to some of the others! Aprilia deserves to sell more just for a Thank you. And I hope they get some out of their MotoGP and make the next step.

    The APRILIA is most championship winning supersport motorcycle brand in the world.
    There are many championship titles on their name.
    The good thing about them is that they never unnecessarily boast or bluff about their victories.
    APRILIA is totally supersport dedicated brand.
    They do not harm their prestige just to get higher sales number.
    I don't have APRILIA but still it's my favorite brand when it comes to Supersport motorcycle brand.

Considering how much the BMW moved the game on when they launched the S 1000 RR, I can't wait to see what they do next. To be totally fair, if you owned any of these bikes you wouldn’t be disappointed. I know the average rider that will afford these won’t be a top racer, but a middle aged bloke who struggles to fit in the leathers that he bought last season. Saying that i do love these tests and he did keep stressing that this was an ultimate sports bike track test and its nice having the bragging rights in the pub without the chance of wrecking your dream bike in the process. Ill take any please, but ill be happier with the RSV4 just on the strength of this test 😁😁👍👍

    Thanks for the vlog. It was interesting hearing the Honda comment about a box full of neutrals. I've had the same experience with a different bike and it really is annoying exaggerating your effort in gear changes but every cloud has a silver lining because my experience is that it goes away after the box has been run in a bit. I was more than surprised with the oggy knobs because I'd rather be replacing some casings and fairings instead of frames.

      unfortunately not true with an average driver/rider most of the time on tracks or on road a modern hot hatches will be faster, bikes are harder to ride fast (getting easier with the electronics though) but with a good rider a bike would be quicker on the average track,

    • @PrimiusLovin
      @PrimiusLovin 5 років тому +1

      Perhaps, but I'm going to give you an obvious example of how ridiculous the price/performance difference can get between motorcycles and cars, e.g @ - Pikes Peak Hill Climb:
      A 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, a fairly expensive race car, is 1.5 seconds faster than... get ready for it, "a 2009 Aprilia SXV450"!!

    • @marmax5272
      @marmax5272 5 років тому +1

      an example how a factory race bike prepared specifically to go up pike peak with a cost of about 100k originally and a 75k road car, this year a 2.5 tonne standard Bentley SUV was only 58 sec slower than the record holding factory prep KTM, there are no real straight forward comparisons between cars and bikes and cost,

    • @PrimiusLovin
      @PrimiusLovin 5 років тому

      Yes there is a straightforward comparison: '10:35.354' (2009 Aprilia SXV450: $8799) VS '10:33.897' (2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport: $165,000)!!

      Tyres were the right size for the Panigale, and the bike (like the Aprilia) has a tyre calibration system which mates it to the electronics - tyres have to be the same on all bikes for a fair assessment, given the wide range of performance from OE hoops.
