For me the enjoyment factor is what determines value for money with motorcycles. Some people enjoy commuting or social riding on a Super Sport bike and never take it to the track but they still get the maximum value for their money. Choose one that fits your riding style (BMW for me) and go have fun!
I’m loving my euro spec ZX10r, especially the usual pipe and flash have being done, but I’m looking for a second bike and I’m tossing between the R1m or the S1000rr

How about acceleration test with the heaviest guy + most powerful bike vs lightest guy + the least powerful bike :D
Being a bit overweight combined with full leathers is not a good look. Just a observation;-) Love these bikes though. Pick the one you like and you’ll be fine. They are all amazing.

150 hp for a 1000cc top tier bike its simple unanceptable no matter how light it is. My old CBR 1100xx, with pipes and PCIII make this number.
HP is for people that want to measure dicks online or at a meet. Power delivery is important. When you compare overall output torque comes in at just the right time, you have useable power all the time which is exactly why the CBR feels great to ride. Simple tuning gets you a little better response and that's all one really needs. I've seen plenty of 200hp bikes absolutely useless in the canyons with shit drive out of corners and pointless on track since they make their power high up in the rev range. All this comes down to the rider and more riders have the ability to put down that power effectively. That's the simple fact.
I would never spend more for a bike than I would for a car. Nice bikes but way too expensive. But then, riding season only lasts a few months were I live.
Here's my things, the last 4 years i've bought 4 bikes. I would of loved to have a BMW in my collection but that damn front light has to go! All I see is Sloth from Goonies when I see that bike. If any of these manufactures actually want to make some nice money they would make after market ability to plug n play mods. Lights, mirrors, forks, tanks , tank covers etc Ya you can buy after market but to have a way to build before you buy on a website would do wonders.
This was a hugely important test for me but unfortunately I must constructively criticise. There is only one thing in my mind that let's these tests down and that is the fact you have company guys to set the bike for your track days. We all would love this but in reality no one but the press has the opportunity for this. It would be better, in my opinion, to not have these guys for your track tests to give us, the purchasers, a more realistic review of what we could experience on our track days. Throughout this review the track focused settings take up the bulk of discussion and that is something the general buyer is not going to be able to have with a pit crew of just themselves. A great review but it has to be mentioned as it's a major factor for us laymen.
Aprilia RSV4 RF with the right track set and then we'll talk about it again. .......But the brother of friend of my cousin's neighbor told me that Aprilia is unreliable...
My advice is view these reviews as a little insight or personal view not gospel ! Ride them yourself, go for a decent test ride, buy the one YOU like, not the one a reviewer likes !!! I rode them all and bought the RSV4 RF, and I love it. My second choice would have been the R1 hands down - an awesome crazy head banger, then the BMW. my personal choice. Ducati 1299 would be no 4 purely on looks and character. I really didn't like the blade, the GSXR felt 'cheap' I've had a ZX10r and they are very good but lack character. you wouldn't buy a bike on my say so, everyone of us is different so go ride them
Why do people think that the Honda is all new the chassis code is still a SC59 they did hardly anything new, but fool their consumer's. They put electronics on the Honda from a 2011 ZX10R the Honda is so far behind with their 2008 designed bike it's not funny. I am waiting for the new Ducati to see what to it does and what Kawasaki and BMW do. I do need contingency money from BMW, but I like how Kawasaki makes power and the electronics.
You're not riding an SP2, if you change quickshifter and throttle settings from stock then ride on a road course without enough testing ANYONE would have issues. Maybe don't talk about racing if you've never bothered ever tuning your own bike.
Read the article for more information. Basically, there was too many accidents on the track. Fortunately for us, it was none of us that crashed. Unfortunately, it ruined our lap testing.
I didn't mean to bash you guys; my point was it would have made the video complete if you guys included the Lap time. I just felt something was missing. By the way, the video was great.
I don't know why you have that problem. I know Google Chrome supports 4K playback. I am not sure if that is your problem or if it was youtube. This is definitely 4K. I can assure you of that.
the 2015 R1 is an awful bike. a reputable engine builder is finding a lot of bad things happening inside the R1 motors. from dropping valves, timing chains eating away at the engine block, cranks walking, transmissions blowing up etc. piss poor engineering. after seeing the pictures I'm afraid to even keep riding mine.
BMW always has power ratings on the very high dyno range. But the race is not good at all. just know :) Simple way. BMW does not know how to make racing cars like the Japanese
With Honda and Ducati coming with V4s soon and Kawasaki and BMW having been facelifting their bikes for years now the next couple of years are bright and we can see a bunch of all new bikes soon
Honda is not coming with a V4 anytime soon. They wrecked their entire VFR line up. A base model CBR with no ABS is more expensive than the entire Japanese Line Up. You're crazy if you think Honda is putting a V4 up anytime soon. Ducati is in the Process of potentially being sold off.... With HD the most potential buyer right now.
"riding style" was a common theme in this video. They are all so good and yet so different having their own individual identities. For us mortals tho just pick the one you like the best and ride the hell out of it.
BMW won't give you a $16,000 bike because contrary to what their website says, they do not make a $16,000 bike. Every one I have ever seen at a dealer has been $19,000.
9:30 Bimmer is Old Reliable? I know they maxed out the K5 Concept, but wow the Japanese and Italians had such a head start in Superbikes 7yrs later im still in awe.
Or save 10k and buy k5 gsxr 1000 with more usable power every where in the rpm .new bikes have no power bellow 6k like anything made before 2006 and I must say I'm glad I bought a k6 as it's low power at 2k is more fun and doesn't feel held back just raw power
I wish Honda would put more performance in the engine. It seems like Honda puts all of it's apple's in the mid range, then runs out of breath at top in.
Channing Kraemer Nice to see another forum member chiming in. It's a shame that they just glanced past the EBR. I don't have first hand experience on an EBR, but my Uly handles like nothing else. Let's hope Erik can prove us wrong and we'll get to see the AX and the sub $10k 2018 model on the streets someday.
Channing Kraemer EBR has always been one of my favorite bike. But competition has moved on. And now sadly people look forward to have the safety net of TC and ABS etc especially on the track . I have always been fond of the bikes like the old blade, old gixxers etc. Then I heard about EBR and found it very likable. But then these European bikes came and spoiled us with everything.
From Motomummy, "So far multiple crashes from a few riders and all are stating the bike had issues. Guy martin even stated "it's box full of neutrals"." Which is what I've heard elsewhere, a lot of false neutrals. drivetribe.com/p/dggbbOF5T26tx7b2dretww?iid=X5te3i_1RYibMNJs_3pD1w
BMW and Aprilia are the best. Honda just looks ugly although being nimble and shorter wheelbase. But at the end of the day, buy whatever the fuck you want.
Finally a Honda at the top with BMW & the small Aprilia & finally the bad ass Suzuki...the best year ever to pick any of those magnificent machines depending on your budget.
This isn't fair coz there is no top end models like the RSV4 RF,Yamaha R1M and ofcourse the Suzuki GSXR1000R which got way way way more electtonics than std GSxR 1000 ...arguably one of the best track bike
dr. Apexx There is a conspiracy against EBR. I hear Ducati is behind it. Everyone is betting against the EBR because it's got the potential to compete head to head against Ducati. I'm with you man. EBR for the win.
these guys just don't appreciate what happens when you go home and straight pipe the ebr. ur not a 4 cyl sounding like a fly in someone's ear, your a lion roaring 2 feet from their face (straight pipe suz sv owner)
Nayr Nitsua i have an 11 aprc factory se from new aprilia in my country is the only bike dealership which gives 4 yrs guarantee engine ecu brakes gearbox. Mine at the moment has 23.000km so i got me.a used k12.1000.for daily😂. the only issue of the rsv4 bike is extremely hot frames(city ride) on highway and b roads she is a thunderstorm cool and so fun soooo they didnt really made factory and rf for city ... lol figures right? the other big issue is fried ecu but i got mine instead replaced with the original replaced with the aprilia full race ecu and the bike is two times faster and two times more reliable. V4 is a riding sound experience i believe any rider should have at least once in his life. For me rsv4 factory is the best and more engine reliable bike so far i ever had/have. is a connection like no.other...And i had many... really so many bikes...
BMW is soooo good, that's why it's winning races........NOT! BMW sucks at turning, PERIOD! That's why it's not racing professionally!!!!! BMW is the SQUID Bike. Give me any other bike other than the BMW piece of shit.
honda made it..why the hell you people cant except the honda.coz, every company made something different every year for improvements.and honda did that..aprilia,yamaha they might not be the same each year.their adjustments might be slightly different than the previous year.so i appreciate honda made a good bike and hope the other top companies would make better bikes in the next year..
why no ninja zx10rr or h2? isnt it flagship comparison? thank god you guys didn't take ninja z1000sx cause it is a litre class superbike too but incomparable with others , cmon man! whats your problem with kawasaki? every year it comes last although its a SBK winning superbike!
The EBR struggled on the track because it doesn't come stock with a slipper clutch. Not having a slipper clutch is a huge handicap. Mid corner and corner exit it's probably the best bike out there but into the corner under hard brakes the rear wheel will lock up making it very difficult to push to its limit.
Someone needs to start doing these shootouts but based on the second hand market pricing on 5-8 year old models - Like whats the best bike to buy now 6-8K in todays market
THE HONDER JUST FEELS RIGHT!!! Im trying to tell you guys. You could wiggle your ass around knee down mid corner and the bike would just be like LOL WUT?! and be as stable as if you were Marquez or Pedrosa. The weight is so low in the chassis its like putting a hot knife through butter. Im sure a good mapping will bring out 8-10hp and atleast 5tq at the expense of linearity of the drive by throttle. Not to mention a high flow filter and catless exhaust.
Adam Taylor She's very smooth compared to when I had my 08 Blade. The power kicks in differently. My 08, when you WOT it's just instant power vs my 17. The 17 feels more like a Vtec lol. But by it being so smooth and the way it kicks in is thrilling!! As with any sport bike you're going to be a little beat up after a long ride. So far I've taken her on a 5 1/2hrs trip. My ass and knees were sore. But my butt sores easily and my job had my knees previously beat up. She's very nimble too!!!
I have an Aprilia. no issues. I have 50,000 miles on her.. half of them on the track. haters gonna hate. not one real owner has a negative comment about the reliability.
These clowns need to grow a pair of balls and turn the electronics off and then see which bike truly shines and I can guess I know which it will be......
ebr is the shit. against vtwins. its k series honda vs v8 camaro. not everyone wants a zingy 4 banger. an you wonder why Ducati gave you a middle finger to sit an rotate on
Is anyone else beginning to question the bullshjit we're fed recently? everyone knows your way better off with a Honda (backed up by awesome build quality and in depth R&D) than you are with a Suzuki (a bit cheap and cheerful)... Or are tings changing to a new order??
Suzuki's are fine if you don't mind slightly cheaper build quality. They're reliability is similar but I wouldn't swap it out instead of my blade. Still a good bike though.
I'd like to see a comparison of those bikes uncorked. On paper their power output is much closer than whan those numbers are showing. You can see on their dyno graph how the top end of the japanese bikes taper off way before red line, which is much less pronounced on the euro spec bikes. Makes me wonder how BMW and Aprilia managed to pass US sound regulations and still keep the top end untouched.
the guys who that honda nearly killed at this years Isle of Man tt might have something else to say!! John McGuinness and Guy Martin...google what happened to them at this years TT....Those racers push the bikes to the limit much further then these riders and the honda failed...big time, and I love Honda.
Not to mention all the tuning that goes into those bikes. They aren't stock, they're riding on a road course and if you modify a bike then bitch about the bike not doing well that's down to testing that they did not do. But oh well ignorance is bliss. These dudes talking trash about Honda haven't tuned a bike to save their lives. I've tuned quickshifter's throttle spool's, ECU settings and holy shit it's hard to get it right.
both guy martin and John mcguinness crashed out on the Hondas during NW200 (jm) isle of man (gm)on the new Fireblade due to throttle sticking and getting stuck in neutral ... Hopefully the cause was because of modifications
Throttle never stuck. No idea where you got that from. John claimed it felt like it was stuck. The aggressive quickshift and throttle settings the team put in caused the issue. The bike was run in WSBK with no issues at all. If you modify any settings beyond stock don't expect it to run like a stock bike.
So the Brazzers guy is even a racer now!
For me the enjoyment factor is what determines value for money with motorcycles. Some people enjoy commuting or social riding on a Super Sport bike and never take it to the track but they still get the maximum value for their money. Choose one that fits your riding style (BMW for me) and go have fun!
You guys should review the R1M, RSV4 RF, Anniversario and H2 for the odd ball that would be awesome! Kudos for the film and audio editor too!
Kudos to you for bringing the ebr.
Please do not forget them in the future!!!
You can't go wrong with these motorcycles, it's all about personal preference.
I love GSXR Livery!!!!!!!!!!!
stoked for the new gsxr1000, fireblade, and zx10r!!!!
jdwm rode the gsxr and holy cow is it narrow and feels so light!
Its all about the GSXR1000R!
They're all great bikes, glad that I'm not the only one who understands it !
Keeping my 08 Blade. Sans electronics but still a blast round the track and road.
Bobby Backmarker me to brother love my 08 blade
Bobby Backmarker Definitely getting me another 08. But for now I'm going to enjoy my 17.
my winner is the cbr1000rr all the way 😍 im definetly buying the cbr
Traction control? Where's the fun in tracking a liter bike if you never get thrown off in a violent high-side?
Wish you guys would do one with all the bikes flashed with a slipon system!

Why not Ducati 1299 Panigale S and MV Agusta F4
I would never spend more for a bike than I would for a car. Nice bikes but way too expensive. But then, riding season only lasts a few months were I live.
now if only i could afford a new gsxr1 or R1.. its great seeing them knowing ill never own one.
why no ducati
I feel like the BMW is the pompous man's bike. I'd go for the Suzuki though, but that's just me.
The Japanese bikes are in stock restricted US form right?
Fireblade :)
So for a bigger guy it looks like the ZX10R is the clear choice
Here's my things, the last 4 years i've bought 4 bikes. I would of loved to have a BMW in my collection but that damn front light has to go! All I see is Sloth from Goonies when I see that bike. I am just here for the R1 fanboys that are about to have a meltdown that nobody picked it first. Go Honda!
Haha 2009 R1 is better than honda!! 😁
This was a hugely important test for me but unfortunately I must constructively criticise.

They should've just set sag and that's it. Setting it up for the track is kinda low... A very Ferrari move.
we are getting 7 guys personal opinions,we need times ,lap and quarter mile
eyes open I was thinking the same thing.....
s1000rr
Still won't trade in my R1 😆😆😆
Aprilia RSV4 RF with the right track set and then we'll talk about it again.
.......But the brother of friend of my cousin's neighbor told me that Aprilia is unreliable...
Id take the Aprilia or the honda
Didn't know Johnny Sins is a rider
don't smoke, kids
dont smoke period
Don't smoke. By the way, who smokes menstrual fluid?
My advice is view these reviews as a little insight or personal view not gospel !
Ride them yourself, go for a decent test ride, buy the one YOU like, not the one a reviewer likes !!!
I rode them all and bought the RSV4 RF, and I love it. My second choice would have been the R1 hands down - an awesome crazy head banger, then the BMW. my personal choice.
Ducati 1299 would be no 4 purely on looks and character.

Hmm, the Honda is so good its hardly been updated from 2008, hits false neutrals and almost killed John McGuinness....
You're not riding an SP2, if you change quickshifter and throttle settings from stock then ride on a road course without enough testing ANYONE would have issues. Maybe don't talk about racing if you've never bothered ever tuning your own bike.
I thought Lap time is the first priority when it comes to track shootout, and that's missing here.
I love videos that say it's in 4k but when you go to quality it says 1080p. really? You that desperate for views?
I don't know why you have that problem. I know Google Chrome supports 4K playback. I am not sure if that is your problem or if it was youtube. This is definitely 4K. I can assure you of that.
Track shootout but no track times? What a joke.
the 2015 R1 is an awful bike. a reputable engine builder is finding a lot of bad things happening inside the R1 motors. from dropping valves, timing chains eating away at the engine block, cranks walking, transmissions blowing up etc. piss poor engineering. after seeing the pictures I'm afraid to even keep riding mine.
Honda all the way
HERE WE TALKING ABOUT BEST MOTORCYCLE,NOT A A FASTEST MILE BIKE. STOP TALKING CBR ITS A SHIT,LESS POWER.
lol the cbr looks like an r3 😂
you is dog😃
BMW always has power ratings on the very high dyno range. But the race is not good at all. just know :)
Simple way. BMW does not know how to make racing cars like the Japanese
Super bike shoot out without a Ducati is piss poor
Blame Ducati, there scared to have a big bike comparison because they know it will not win!
The EBR is a joke. It just doesn't belong in this class of motorcycles, and you're an idiot if you buy one.
Chris Doms lol Says the guy that have never riding one.
BuellRider lol
I've always been a fan of the s1000rr and the rsv 4 but Man...that Honda tho! The Suzuki is a great deal too. 🤔 So many great bikes to choose from. 😬
my 1st pick is BMW just because it have analog rpm meter.
arif rifz yep mee too. i Don't like TFT displays like its bike not a TV

ZX10R will be mine one day!!
Onedayilbeok that day has finally came for me bro just brought myself a 16 plate winter edition 💚
CBR1000 FU*KING DOUBLE ARRRRR!!! YEAH!!

buy it, buy it, buy it😂

With Honda and Ducati coming with V4s soon and Kawasaki and BMW having been facelifting their bikes for years now the next couple of years are bright and we can see a bunch of all new bikes soon
IKR I hope honda brings the rc v4 from the gp moto bikes
what is that? I heard about it.
Daniel Maia The Ducati with its v twin convincingly beats these as it stands now.
Honda's been coming out with a V4 soon for at least 8 years now.
US spec ZX10 is shit, try a Euro spec with 191 rwhp than you will see
so is CBR, it again has retarded timing after cca 11k
meh. a full system and a tune and either spec will be around 200 rwhp
"riding style" was a common theme in this video. They are all so good and yet so different having their own individual identities. For us mortals tho just pick the one you like the best and ride the hell out of it.
1. yamaha r1
2. aprillia
3. kawasaki zx10r
Rip EBR :( you will be missed, the dream of an american made sportsbike will continue
Nick5220 - lol
😂😂
beautiful video that kawasaki is absolutely beautiful. if you guys ever need to delegate editing work hit me up.
Ashton Zee agreed im bias because i own a ninja.
BMW won't give you a $16,000 bike because contrary to what their website says, they do not make a $16,000 bike. Every one I have ever seen at a dealer has been $19,000.
or you could walk to said dealer... and say you want a base one and pay up and wait
Mitch Young Most enthusiast cars are the same way. You can always order one in the configuration you want.
9:30 Bimmer is Old Reliable? I know they maxed out the K5 Concept, but wow the Japanese and Italians had such a head start in Superbikes 7yrs later im still in awe.

What does this mean ?
S1000RR is still my favorite compared to the rest!
I wish Honda would put more performance in the engine. It seems like Honda puts all of it's apple's in the mid range, then runs out of breath at top in.
GSXR is the most bike you get for your bank..
Actually the EBR is the most bang for your buck.....
Without the electronics?? I don't think so.. If you consider just street riding then yeah, I don't mind. But on the track its needed now.
Got to love that you think you need electronics. go ride the ebr and you'll see you don't need that extra crap. That bike was built around the rider.
Channing Kraemer EBR has always been one of my favorite bike. But competition has moved on. And now sadly people look forward to have the safety net of TC and ABS etc especially on the track . Love seeing some old guys out there. Makes me look forward to in the future.
Guess the US haven't heard about all the problems of the Fireblade.
What problems?
What are the problems with the bike?
you mean the isle of man TT problems?
From Motomummy, "So far multiple crashes from a few riders and all are stating the bike had issues. Guy martin even stated "it's box full of neutrals"." Which is what I've heard elsewhere, a lot of false neutrals.

I'll be interested to see how people find the honda in the long term
YEAH I KNEW THE FIREBLADE WOULD WIN! honda FTW!
Earlier, you guys weighed the Fireblade at Portimao with a full tank and it was 425lbs. How come now it's 433 lbs? Which is it?
BMW and Aprilia are the best. Honda just looks ugly although being nimble and shorter wheelbase. But at the end of the day, buy whatever the fuck you want.
I'll still keep my R1😏
Finally a Honda at the top with BMW & the small Aprilia & finally the bad ass Suzuki...the best year ever to pick any of those magnificent machines depending on your budget.

did he say TEN grand for the EBR ?!? well, you have the winner !
dr. Apexx $14,000msrp, but easily found for sub 10k. Seen a lot for 6-8k
dr. Apexx There is a conspiracy against EBR. I hear Ducati is behind it. Everyone is betting against the EBR because it's got the potential to compete head to head against Ducati. I'm with you man. EBR for the win.

The problem is that EBR is dead, out of business, no longer available beyond the 2017 models.
sad but true... But it's still a fantastic bike.
Aprilia all day!
Until it breaks down and you have to wrench on it all night!
Ruano09 That's counter to everything I've read on the RSV4, and good luck getting parts in the US. Their network is quite sparse.

How about - 1. BMW , 2. Aprilia , 3. R1
All these guys are awesome. Loved the video.
Wooohoo!! The honda wins baby!
A P R I L I A
THE HONDER JUST FEELS RIGHT!!!
P Body Loving my 17 CBR1000RR
My Man!!! *Denzel voice.
Kendrick H What's it like on the street, in traffic and the motorway? Could you see yourself touring on it?
Adam Taylor She's very smooth compared to when I had my 08 Blade. The power kicks in differently. My 08, when you WOT it's just instant power vs my 17. The 17 feels more like a Vtec lol. But by it being so smooth and the way it kicks in is thrilling!! As with any sport bike you're going to be a little beat up after a long ride. So far I've taken her on a 5 1/2hrs trip. My ass and knees were sore. But my butt sores easily and my job had my knees previously beat up. She's very nimble too!!!
Adam Taylor You will kinda forget you're on a 1000 just cause she's smooth lol. Fun street bike especially for anyone new to liter bikes.
Just awesome reviews! good job guy's!
Your best video!!!
I have an Aprilia. no issues. I have 50,000 miles on her.. half of them on the track. haters gonna hate. not one real owner has a negative comment about the reliability.
These clowns need to grow a pair of balls and turn the electronics off and then see which bike truly shines and I can guess I know which it will be......
ebr is the shit. against vtwins. its k series honda vs v8 camaro. not everyone wants a zingy 4 banger. an you wonder why Ducati gave you a middle finger to sit an rotate on
15k $ what! ... Try 25+k € in Finland... Otherwise I would have a new bike tomorrow..
Can you give a specific brand name for a hypersport tire and sport road tire for a 06 honda cbr rr. 600 thx mario. Mon 12:00 am
why S1000RR instead of Hp4? Hp4 is more light weight and more compatible.
I'll get Honda over Aprilia just because of better after sales service in my country.
153 hp seems low for the Honda, the old bike makes 160 in other countries.
the guys who that honda nearly killed at this years Isle of Man tt might have something else to say!!
All those bikes make me want to cream my pants. Brap brap!
Interesting that you all mostly favor bikes that don't win races.
Too bad Aprillia's are piles of shit when it comes to reliability.
