I’d truly appreciate this video watching it save me over $200 bucks for my local bike shop. Don’t know if I’ll watch your content ever again but I just submit. Thanks man.😊
I have a 100 mile review video and shows cargo bag I added. Also plan to upgrade brakes
Thanks a lot for this video, couldnt find out how to change the speed to 50 kph, now I do! Keep going with the good work!
Thank you for the feedback
Your video makes the perfect step by step instruction for assembling an intermediate electric bike. When mine arrives tomorrow, hopefully your link was used, I will definitely refer to this video as I am assembling it. You can do so much following an instruction manual, which is probably in digital form because of this green thing, but even following the instructions to the latter, track of time could be lost when it does not have to be, but using and following the instruction manual and following your video makes for the perfect follow along guide for an investment in micromobility.
Glad i can help
This was really helpful and I understood everything meant!. Thank you!

Thanks B Rich - nice vid! I was just outside assembling mine. Decided to air the front tire to the recommended 30 lbs. and set aside while working on the other stuff. About 1/2 hour in....blamo! Tube blew. I have replacements coming tomorrow so not the end of the world. Then mine came with the triple tree cap installed but had to remove it to pull cables out to the front like they should be...the re-install it. Didn't realize this until I had the handlebars ready to install. And when I removed the battery to take inside to charge a small piece of the bracket was laying inside where the battery sits. It came off the top lip of the bracket the battery attaches to. Not sure how important that is but will contact the seller and see what they say. This is my third e-bike and never had these things happen before. It's always something huh.....
Keep tire pressure below 30 psi. 25psi no blow outs
@@BRichSolution I was just following the rating on the tire....30 lbs. Doesn't seem that high to me but yeah.....will go with 25 next time and see what happens. I think the tube was faulty myself......
Thanks for the settings i was struggling with speed limit, now its all good thanks again :)

Glad it was helpful! See my other video about upgrading the brakes to hydraulic as it’s a life changer
Thanks bro, just got my bike yesterday🎉
Congrats and enjoy
I have this bike I love it. I ride it heaps nearly 1k on the odometer no problems. Better brakes are a must but not expensive.
Yes hydraulic brakes is big improvement over stock brakes. Here is video of installing hydraulic brakes on Ouxi ua-cam.com/video/jx17qqYm5EE/v-deo.htmlsi=dD6EqXc4iG5p-jZe

Hi Rick!
Thank you for your videos 🙏🏻 I just got the Ouxi V8 and your instructions and recommendations were veeeery helpful!
I was wondering if you could recommend a good rear rack option for this bike..? What is the best way to add storage to it, so I can ride with more than just a backpack?
Thanks again for your advice!
Glad I could help. Check out my other video as I upgraded the brakes to bolt on hydraulic for $30 and stops in half the distance. As for cargo rack I am not sure about rack but you can see I added a small storage bag that fits between the seat and handlebars which hold a few objects and looks good. ua-cam.com/video/XeLFq8LdKTo/v-deo.html. If you want a large cargo bag go with amzn.to/3EbxBRy
Thanks for taking the time to answer 🙏🏼 Yes I noticed how bad the brakes are, I’m going to upgrade them. The rack situation is a little troublesome to me too, I want to be able to grocery shop, things like that. I’ll keep looking for a solution 😊

Thanks for the feedback and glad I could help
@@BRichSolution Sure. Let me ask you a question...why is the p06 setting 22.8 instead of 20?
@@BRichSolution I do not understand the option p07. Do you have more info about that?
My OUXI V8 dual battery ebike with upgraded hydraulic brakes and rear rack arrived today I got the batteries charged up bike assembled and now it's pouring rain outside!

@@BRichSolution Thanks for your videos. They made choosing the bike assembling it and setting up the settings much easier!
I could not change P14, it is locked to 15. But I get to 50km/h (31 mph) easy. But be carefull people, that is SUPER fast for a bike. Wear a helmet!
Yes wear a helmet and upgrade brake will make a big difference in safety see video for $30 plug and play brake upgrade

Having trouble installing the front wheel aa the rotor disc doesn't seem to slide between the calipers! Any suggestions on how to solve this would be hugely appreciated!
Loosen the brake wire cable on brake caliper to release the caliper and open the pads wider
I somehow can't put the crown back on as easy as you. For some reason it doesn't seem to lignin up on the two outside holes. Any tips?
Are the screws loosen on the crown? Try using a mallet
Hi again rich, do you have a weird noise with the front wheel, the disc on my bike seems to touch something
Thanks for helping
I had to adjust the caliper to prevent it from rubbing
@@BRichSolution How did you do that, I can't seem to find that out...
I have the same problem! Could you please show us how you solved this?
If you dont mind can you do research if the crossboss fatbike from la souris can go 50 kmh if u change it from display cause I couldn’t find results I tried for days could u please maybe have a look if your free
Crossboss is the same bike ouxi v8 or voltsteed v8 and cruz v8. Same bike just different stickers on battery
Hey BRich, where’s the controller on this? Would it be possible to upgrade controller and batteries one day for more speed/range?
If you upgrade the controller to 25A you should get more speed but range will decrease slightly as motor will pull 25A vs 22A. See video
ua-cam.com/video/eio8I__Cx7M/v-deo.html
Do you know or anyone knows how i can change the PAS sensitivy. It looks locked on 3 van i want to change it in the menu. I can't move it downwards or upwards.
I don’t think you can change it unless you change the top speed or amps
Hey, i assembled this bike today and when i turned it on the display and battery seemed fine but the throttle and pedal assist won’t work?
Check the settings the Pedal Assist Setting PAS maybe set to off. P11 or P12 settings see manual drive.google.com/file/d/1DE8w6Enm_NsegMMGsMe9X2DW_rEvgfaX/view?usp=sharing
Hey B rich!
i live in belgium and here it is illegal to drive that fast with an e-bike, but would like to drive faster than 25kph, around 30kph approximately. How do I set this up properly so that nothing breaks?
You can change setting to restrict speed and motor amps
I got a crossboss but the appearance is the same as Ouxi do u think I will fit with 88cm seat height
Yes it will
How many modes are there and does it have throttle and pedal assist? Because I’m mod likely going to buy this bike also from what height is it suitable for I’m 5”5 is that good to ride on this bike
5 pedal assist level. 5’5” the bike will fit you well. If you order from Aliexpress is will take 2-3 weeks to ship but is $100 cheaper than Amazon. Here is links s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DeigkJ9
Amazon shipping is 7 days

Hi, I live in Cambodia and their OUIX V8 version here is called the Cruz V8. I'm fairly certain it's the same bike, just rebranded. Have you tried to change the voltage settings in P03? I'm thinking of getting this bike and possibly install a higher voltage battery, 52V or more. Many thanks!
Yes its same bike. I have not tried going to 52V yet
@BRichSolution I appreciate the prompt reply and the attention to the follow-up on your channel. I was just curious for what other voltage settings there are in the controller, I assume there'd be at least a 52V option. I'm going to Phnom Penh next week to check it out.....cheers
Hey man, first of all, congrats for this video. It’s very useful.
Now one doubt, my bike hits the suspension a lot. Did you have the same issue?
On rough off road the front suspension bottoms out. Ni sit further back on the seat over rear wheel so not much weight on the front wheel. Wonder if you could fix or reduce it by placing rubber washer in the shock. ua-cam.com/video/ZrN7VbrC_9U/v-deo.html
@@BRichSolution Wow man, thanks a lot for this... I'll try soon and let you know the results.

So the ouxi V8 can only go to 22 amps because of the controller, right? If there was a different controller could you draw 24 or 25 amps & not screw up the Bike? I wanted ridstslar but max motor size is 750 watts where I live. So I'm on Amazon primes big deal sale & I think I'll get ouxi but w/o costing an arm & a leg how much more speed can I get? If I get a controller & probably another battery an had it pushing 24 or 25 amps would that be OK? Would it be worth it?
Buy the Amyet G60 for $799. it has 28 amp controller and motor is fast and torquey amzn.to/46AiSvq
Hi! How did you get rid of the back bracket for the license plate? Did you disconnect the back light, to remove the bracket?
Removed the fasters and cut the plastic license plate holder with scissors and slide the brake light wire thru the cut plastic
Turn it up side down. You still have the bracket and de spacing for the tail light is still the same.
@@alwinbiere8867 I think I'll try that!!
Hey man great video.
I would like to ask what is that bike behind on the first minute of the video.
This one with the two batteries on it.
yolin dual battery ebike. it's epic but cost $500 more. see video: ua-cam.com/video/y3XJkRnppJ0/v-deo.html
And I bought it from la souris it’s a shop in the Netherlands that sells fatbike and stuff but idk if that makes a difference depending on the speed if it will go 50kmh if changed from display
With 250W motor I don’t think you will be able to go 50kmh, maybe 32 kmh?
Hi, sorry to bother you again, I noticed that the break are not that good, where you are in high speed, did you change your break or have made any change on yours .
Thanks
I haven’t been able to ride the bike as much as I would like die to the weather. I did notice brake squeaking especially the front. That’s a good idea to change out the brake calipers
Do you know how to reset settings? Because i tried to make my ouxi v8 2.0 go 50km/h but i think i did something idk because when i pedal the assist starts very late compared to before i changed the settings idk what i did
See description under video for a link to pdf of the display manual for full settings
@@BRichSolution okay thank you very much
Hey, do you know what e06 means? I got it pop up under my screen, but I don’t know how it goes away:/
E06 typically means low amps. Have you change settings on the controller to increase default amps from 15 to 22 amps?
Hey man, i got a new ouxi ebike it was working perfectly the past few days. But today i saw the back tire air pressure went way down. The leakage was from the valve. Ever time i move or touch it slightly it leaks air, any idea how to fix this issue cuz i don’t want to change the tire to be honest its new 😅.
Sounds like tube inside the rear tire needs to be replaced as valve stem caused a leak on wheel. Replace the tube
@@BRichSolution Ur right!. Thank you for being professional and helpful to me & others. Im new to this whole e-bike world. u the one who influenced me to enter it and I’m so glad i did.
when i am trying to get to the speed changer i get an code and idk what to type there. Can you maybe help me out?
Ask seller for code or password. Try 1212
I cannot modify certain values from my display (for example P14...). Do you know why please ?
Maybe locked out… ask seller or manufacturer
Just got mine and it was packed way different than yours. The crown was already installed correctly, all I had to to was flip my gooseneck and turn it to face forwards. Like yours, the hardest part was the front wheel installation. My brake handle was fastened too far to the left, causing the brake pads to pinch in a little bit. For the rubbing, I had to also adjust the brake caliper as well. I'm gonna charge it in the morning. I was wondering though, can I charge the bike while the battery is still mounted to the bike?
Yes you can charge the battery in the bike frame. I do recommend if you can to charge the battery outside and never leave on charger more than 6-8 hours. I use a timer so I don’t overcharge battery and help prevent fire
How did you manage to get the left brake caliper to come loose? I can only create some space on the right side
Hello Rick, I was wondering how tall do you (atleast) need to be to ride this thing?
5’8”
is there possible add second battery to this model? i know its possible i saw double battery v8. but how?
You could reach out to selling or manufacture and ask but the they will most likely charge you a lot. An easy way to add 2nd battery would be one that hangs from the upper frame; also easy to remove when not needed; link to battery: amzn.to/3Qqze4V
You will also need a battery combiner to make operating 2 batteries thru one controller safe. Link to Battery combiner: amzn.to/3OjAwvO Connect both batteries CT60 connector to the combiner and the combiners output to bikes controller. If needed you can buy XT60 cable extenders: amzn.to/47f0WHK
My LCD monitor has been locked asking for a four number sequence. The display doesn’t move from that page and the bike is not turning on. There’s no customer service center - the number provided leads to a Voicemail in which I already left to messages. Any chance you can help me?
Did you send them a message via chat? Also check in the description under video is full link to full user manual it might have tips to reset code
Thank you! Yes - sent message via Chat - will look at your user manual.
Hi please help!! I have put the settings the same as yours an most I can get out of it is 18mph but I do live in the UK is there anyway to get the full 50kph???
Do you have smaller motor? Like a 250W? If 250W then 18 mph is most likely maxed out
@@BRichSolution I bought it second hand how do I check the motor size it's the same as your settings in the video above?
Awesome Vid!
Are the Ouxi v8 and Voltsteed v8 the same bike? I'm a little confused because they look the same with similar specs.
Yes they are. Voltsteed is brand with a website. Buy the Ouxi and save $100s s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEDVBP3
Idk but u know how u can change the speed of the fatbike on the display screen right I was wondering if I could do that on my fatbike

amzn.to/3JvBUcK
@@BRichSolution Thank you so much!
Which one do you like better the v8 or the youken? I can get both for about the same price.
The youken is better ride.. i wish the battery was bigger than 13ah. If you can get the youken with 15ah go for it. The ouxi is nice with 15ah battery a delivery in a week
Hi keep hounding with the videos I got one question I’m 193cm so in feet it will be 6”3 do you recommend me this bike? Can you adjust the seat ?
Yes 193cm will be okay
Did you get the bike ?
How did you adjust the brakes? Mine rub on the front wheel
Loosen the bolts/screws on the brake caliper. Squeeze the brake lever so caliper centers on rotor and tighten bolts
What is the distance I can ride with it going 25-30km/h I just went to to la souris to check it out I couldn’t go 50 Km/h and on the website it says action radius of 80km in perfect condition so how long can I ride it on 25/km or 30km/h
If the battery is 48V / 15Ah with 250W motor then 80km is plausible. Is the battery smaller with 250W motor?
@@BRichSolutionFor the directional turn signal feature, can I switch the device to the right handlebar since I'm right-handed? Thanks.
I can’t get into the menu It’s locked at the fabric Do you have an idee how to unlock
Ask manufacturer for password
Hey can you make a video on how to make the handlebar higherup on the ouxi v8? please
Install handlebar riser like this video shows… its the same procedure ua-cam.com/video/vT6DfaVPI24/v-deo.html
Hi! I'm anxious about charging, could you please elaborate on what you said about charging? Should I plug charger into the mains, switch the power on so electricity is passing through the charger before I plug it into the battery? If so, could you please tell me why?
Many thanks
Plug charger into wall and let the chargers capacitors and electronics fill with energy then plug into battery.
@@BRichSolution Thanks for the reply, I know this may sound silly to you but, is this while the mains plug power is on?
Just I've had an electric scooter before, and I charged it that way, but the end of the charger would spark whenever I put it into the scooter..
do you have an ignition key? or some way to prevent my bike from being stolen.
No remove battery or use bike lock
The seat in this ouxi V8 seems to be better than the Freego K200. The Freego seat is too wide, might interfere with pedaling.
Thanks for the feedback
how did you adjust the brake caliper to not rub/sound always?
Loosen the bolts on caliper to brakets and slide calipers into in and out so they don’t rub. Or upgrade to hydraulic and stop on half the distance as the stock brakes are terrible. $35 to upgrade
ua-cam.com/video/jx17qqYm5EE/v-deo.html
@@BRichSolution Thank you, noticed that the back brake really suck hahah
motorbrake does a better work :D overall i love the bike tho, so quick and steady
i’m not really sure how to remove the speed limiter on it and can’t figure it out because i can’t find it anywhere on youtube
See video at 18:58 for adjusting settings to get max speed
@@BRichSolution I have the newer one with the m5 display but it wont go above 50 kph, or 31.2 mph. Even if I put in one of the dev codes, 8252, I still need another and cant find it.
Help! I just got this bike and I have 2 issues 1: I’m having the same issue with my headset being loose and can’t get it tight it moves when I lift up the bike or hold the from breaks and push forward. 2: my battery is stuck on the bike unless I’m doing it wrong? Using the key and unlocking it does nothing.
Looses the side bolts on stem and tighten up only the bolt on the top of the stem and will pull all the slack in the stem tight and remove the slop. You may have to lift up the front fork and take weight off and tight top bolt. Once tight then tighten side bolts. Search youtube for stem tightening video. As for battery I have another ebike with a difficult to remove battery and i have to quickly pull the battery up to get it un stuck
@@BRichSolution I managed to get the stem on correctly but I still can’t get the battery off I’m afraid to use too much force and break it. Also when I did my setup it only let me go up to 20 amps only no more no less but I still get 28mph max throttle. Thanks for doing these reviews and helping me make my decision
@@BRichSolution rich I’m sorry to hit you with all these questions everything with the headset is good I did what you said it’s rock solid now. But I still can’t get the battery off and I noticed a crack in the battery case near one of the screws on the bottom by the frame side. Should I try to epoxy it? or contact the company? Bike is about a week old maybe less
So I have a question about the power, if it is a 15Ah battery, why did you put it to 22?
22 amps instant amp output. 15Ah is the battery capacity
Waiting for mine to arrive
I can't wait to couple it and take it for a ride .
The directional tail light is it for me
Brakes are not great… but you can upgrade brakes to plug and play hydraulics for $35

No issues with the bike except i upgraded the brakes to hydraulic brakes that bolt on for $28. 50% better stopping see my other video. I had 250 miles on the bike and sold it to neighbor and he is really enjoying it. I might buy another one that is all black and 1000w motor

I was convinced i was getting the Ridstar! Ive been seeing this on Amazon now for 799 free shipping, the ridstar is 799 + 100 shipping. That's for the 750 watt motor! I honestly don't know what to get, I know the hydraulic brakes are a plus but they're really not a deal-breaker for me. I've been seeing two different types apparently people are getting, one has the higher handlebars with the M5 display and the other has the ridstar type bars
.do you know anything about it? and how do you know what you're getting once you order it? I need to make a decision cuz I'm definitely ordering one tomorrow I kind of like this ouxi for tje $$
Get the ridstar Q20 with 20Ah battery not 13Ah
@BRichSolution yeah my heart is set on the ridstar, I can't afford the 20 amp, they have a 15 amp, that's 899. The 20 amp is over 1000, that's a bit high for me, idk, I'm debating just getting the 20 amp, but I think 15 will be fine, I have zero Hills where I live. And getting 28 miles all Throttle on a 14 amp 500 w 48 v battery now. And 28 mph....not bad, I'm ordering tomorrow, will it be the 15, or 20 amp?? That's still debatable! Thanks again for all your info and help I really appreciate it
@BRichSolution and honestly how much more will I get out of the 20 amp over the 15 amp? All things considered. A little More speed? A little More total miles? It's very tempting, but another 200 $ is it worth it?

correction there is option for a rack.... see link for Ouxi V8 with rear rack. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DeigkJ9
Hello i live in holland i wanna buy a 750watt ouxi v8 from this video but in holland only 250watts is allowed and 25km and no throttle but i can ride 25 without throttle only the motor is 750watt. Is there a way police can check this? So cN the police check how many watts my bike is or not?
ues, change settings for amps (P14) to 5 amps making the bike 240 watts (48V x 5amp = 240W) . Change setting p09 or p17 to disable the throttle and make pedal only.
Yes they police in most cities were are crashed the most they have like a treadmill and then they go max speed on the (treadmill)

I believe you’re referring to Yolin dual battery ebike. See this video ua-cam.com/video/y3XJkRnppJ0/v-deo.htmlsi=fyedF0HmtAxl53r9
What is the distance it travels when it is 100% charged?
26 miles throttle only

14:20 how u fix this problem??? i got ouxi v8 and some problem.
Loosed the two bolts on the side of handlebar stem then loosen the one bolt on the cap. Have a friend lift the front fork off the ground to the take the slop out then tighten the top bolt cap to take slop out then tighten the side bolts on the stem

4-6 hours like all ebike batteries

Look on UA-cam for ebike rear hub motor replacement
Pls can you tell me if its waterproof, it rains a lot here..
Ouxi said. It's OK to ride the bike in the rain, but it's not recommended to ride in a downpour, water could potentially get in some connectors.
