Another great video!
Thinking of getting one. Would you recommend the Ouxi v8 or the Super73 clone?
Amyet G60 or Ridstar Q20 with 20Ah battery for under $1000 is great value. See video ua-cam.com/video/Rwajo_7sn5U/v-deo.htmlsi=gAKDKvntTJYh5UA3
Was wondering what added value you see for the switch inline with the added battery. Is it for safety reasons?
Safety and its nice to shut the battery off when you run it down to 1-2 bars turn it off for 20-30 minutes and let the battery chemistry level out while riding on the factory battery
Can you explain to me what you mean by letting the battery chemistry level out? How does this work? What efficiencies are involved?@@BRichSolution
Hello, B rich! I am fanscinated by your ebike videos and want one my self to go to school because the gas prices in Romanja are too high (around $7 / gallon in my area) for my parents to afford taking me to school and back since I live over 5 miles away and my current non electric bike doesn't have brakes and is really bad, if you have any normal or electric bike that you don't use at all, that is broken and you don't want to fix, could I please have it for a discouted price, please?
Cost of shipping to romania from usa is too expensive your better off buying new from Aliexpress s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DeigkJ9
@BRichSolution I tried looking into it but they are more expensive when you set your location to Romania, the ridstar q20 is $1300 and when I put it in my cart it showed even more expensive, do you know any cheaper models (I don't think I can get more than $750 even if I borrow from my grandparents) that can go like 25 mph or more and have a decent range, or maybe a cheap bike on which I could install a conversion kit if you know a cheap one, please tell me if you have any suggestions, I know you are very informed in this subject, thank you in advance and have a great day/night!
Good video, as I'll do the same. Can you plz tell me the BMS max constant amp output of the new battery and if your top speed has increased any since you'll now have a higher BMS Amp output battery capacity? (I know the voltage is really what matters here though)
So, I'll be taking delivery of the new V8 X version of this ebike in Cambodia. This has a motor upgrade to 1000W and comes with hydraulic brakes as standard. equipment. After the battery upgrade, I'll upgrade the controller to 30amp+. From what I read, the 1000W motor should be fine with a new max output of 1500W. You could try something similar, but I'd suggest lower settings of 1250W since I believe your motor is rated at 750W. There's a GRIN controller upgrade video for more info.....cheers.
The extra battery I used has 30A BMS so the output and speed was the same as the factory battery. I was not able to increase top speed but I was able to ride longer and higher speeds with extra battery
I have an ouxi V8 750w and I bought a 52v battery now I need to change the controller, how many amps do you think the new controller should have?
@arturbacchin5645 I read online somewhere the Ouxi V8 has a 350W nominal Shengli motor while my 1000W bike has a bona-fide 500W nominal hub since I pulled the motor apart to see. The stock motor controller should have 63V capacitors, and you should probably be OK with the 52V battery as is. If you get a new motor controller, it should be no more than 20-22A as the 350W hub motor won't be able to take any more with the additional voltage (22A x 52V = 1144W). Be aware as well a new motor controller won't be able to operate the light system on the bike if you happen to get it.
I got the Ouxi V8 with extra back seat and double battery. Is there a way to connect the second battery so I dont have to switch them around when 1 is empty?
Yes this will work with 2 battery model, just connect the extra battery combiner to your one of the battery cables and then you’ll have 3 batteries
@@BRichSolution I mean, can I connect my secondary battery to the battery that is connect to the controller? I need to switch them around when 1 is empty. Thank you so far
@@BRichSolution To be clear, I have currently 2 battery's. But only the front one is connected to the controller. The secondory battery is only a placeholder, but its not connected. So I need to spawn them around when I want to change battery. Anyway to connect them both to the controller?
All of your videos on the Ouxi v8 have been helpful but I'm worried that the battery may burn out fairly quick since it is a random Chinese brand and I've seen reviews that say theirs stopped working in 2 weeks. Can I switch out the battery completely if this happens?
Stock battery still going g string on mine after a year. The battery is common size and easy to source replacement on Amazon or Aliexpress
Love the video and the great explanation. Is it possible to add another stock battery (48v-15ah) under the seat? And do you have to modify or buy another unitholder which makes room for the battery?
I have seen the Ridstar bikes with batteries underneath the seat. I thought this would give me twice batteries to cover longer distances.
The dual battery ridstar is called the Q20 pro and the frame is different shape and comes with dual motor. No room on the regular Q20 to fit a 2nd factory battery. you can follow this video and use Hailong 48V / 15 Ah amzn.to/3upyXWL
@@BRichSolutionbut there are also a lot of ouxi v8s with 2 batteries is stat the same frame or another?
Hey man, im thinking of getting this bike, how is the response time on the throttle?
Hey Brian. Do these charge together? Are they smart enough to just one charger for both? Or?
charge batteries separately; the extra battery comes with a charger and its the same connection as the factory charger
I was trying to do with my Ouxi V8 but I'm having trouble unscrewing the 6 screws to get the seat off.
I had that issue with one nut. I had to loose the nut with wrench while holding the threaded stud with pliers to prevent stud from turning in the seats plastics
I have watched. I don’t know how many videos of yours today on at least three different bikes.
Thank you so much for this, did you see a speed boost with both batteries turned on?
No, but I can maintain top speed longer on both batteries as on one top speed drops after 20 miles where both batteries can go over 32 miles before top speed is impacted
I just ordered the ouxi v8 max, dual battery, i didn't even know they made a dual battery! And said its hydraulic brakes, that's crazy....it was 830 on temu! I did research, i suppose its legit! Really looking forward to getting it.
how is the range and speed on the dual battery and did it come with hydraulic brakes?
Hello super upgrade is obtained with this set.
Do you think the same upgrade can be done on the Ridstar Q20?
Yes i did the ridstar upgrade last werkend see video ua-cam.com/video/Z7i8O1BFJdc/v-deo.html
@@NdranghetaSGhe already installed that battery in his ridstar q20 for more range, look on his page for the video
Would u recommend buying the new ouxi v8 max dual battery with the battery under the seat on Amazon? It currently only has reviews and I can’t find videos anywhere
Yea, ouxi v8 max would be a great bike with dual batteries and hydraulic brakes. I would go for for it as good price on Amazon currently see link amzn.to/3XDD65Z
How is the customer service overall on this ebike?
All the ebikes customer service is terrible. Super 73, lectric all bad. So just buy the best value. All parts easy to source
How long does it take to charge a battery from 0 to 100%?
The extra battery is smaller capacity so it take slightly shorter time 2-4 hrs
Tamobyke would lanuch V30 ebike with double 48V battery in end of September, max ranger could reach up to 45 miles only drive by throttle.👍😇
Any chance you can make the V30 with 52V batteries instead of 48V? Can you send me a V30 to test? I will send you email
@@BRichSolution Sure, we are glad to cooperate with you, we would arrange you test V30 in bottom of September.
@@BRichSolution Dear BRich, we would send you a V30 to test, dual hydraulic and double battery, please give us your email. thank you.
Will this same setup work with the HIPATOO Electric Bike V8 from temu? They look identical, and want to get this extra setup for my bike. I just don’t want to get it, and it doesn’t fit.
Hi B Rich my name is Ken, I'm an OUXI V8 owner for about a month now! I'm curious!!? Is it possible to hookup a 48,or 52, 30Ah Battery to the OUXI using it's current controller or maybe even combine a second battery simultaneously of about 15 or 20 Ah?? what do you think?? Because I seen someone with the same size battery mounted under the seat the way you did with the tri-angled shape battery in the other video!
You can easily add a 15Ah battery like what is shown in this video on Ouxi v8, 20Ah maybe hard to package as the frame is small and dual battery version if you look closely the V or triangle in the frame is large and weird check mark shape in the front from handlebar to crank. As for 52V not sure controller can handle the extra voltage check with the manufacturer
Great video! Is it possible to take off the new battery too, or do you have to connect the charger to the plug without taking it off?
Also, thanks a lot for the video. It's really helping me out to figure how to do the same!
just a question? is ouxi v8 better or crossboss v20 better?
Ouxi v8 you can have a cargo rack as no rear suspension. The Ouxi v20 and crossboss v20 are the same bike with rear suspension no cargo rack
Can you do a speed test with the battery installed? I would like to see how faster it goes
No gain in speed, just range. You do however stay at higher speeds longer with 2nd battery as higher voltage longer
@@BRichSolution that's amazing! Thanks for the quick reply! I'm really considering buying the ouxi V8 for work transportation and maybe do some food deliveries after work. I'm still looking at other bikes that have hydraulic brake and dual battery but I'm loving the ouxi look
Hi again just wondering in theory if I was to purchase a 2nd factory battery with the same 48V 750W 15ah and somehow managed to fit it into the frame, would I still be able to connect it to the factory controller using the same combiner plug method demonstrated in your video? or would I need a different controller?
Not sure 2nd factory battery will fit in the frame and how to mount the battery to the frame. Connections would be the same as show in this video with battery combiner and you can retain the factory controller
@@BRichSolution thanks for the reply! do you think if I was to add a higher Voltage & Amp Hour battery it would damage the existing battery or the controller?
hi so would you still need to charge each battery separately or is there a way to charge both batteries at once while still mounted to the bike? cheers
Charger separately but both batteries use the same charger so its interchangeable
So your saying i could buy a 48v 15ah with the same cords as my 2nd battery?
I'm trying to find a box bracket to put groceries or a saddle bag like those in motorcycles. Do you recommend any? Thanks
Not quite sure. Easiest way is back pack to carry groceries or moto tail bag like this amzn.to/3OxXBuK
You should make a video upgrading the factory controller
IMO it's not really worth it to get 2 mph and shorter range. 2 mph is fast enough or buy Ridstar Q20
@@BRichSolutionGood point!, I just ordered an ouxi v8 2.0. Your videos are really helping to prepare me for the bike.
that's super cool. I'm having problems with my main battery, it bricks randomly, sometimes when I'm mid ride, and not doing anything crazy. Seller doesn't reply and Ouxi keep referring me to the seller :/
@@BRichSolution what do you mean if I lock the battery in the holder? As in if I lock it? Yes I lock it but the battery bricks outside of the bike too. Like when charging normally
does the display show info of the new added batt?
The display showed full charge when on extra battery and both batteries on. The factory battery was only half full so when I turned just that battery on it showed 3 bars
Can you do a video where you put the main stock battery under the seat and mount it up there kinda like a super73 zx also because I plan on buyong thtis bike soon and want to do this with my bike and need help to try and do it
The hard shell main battery will not fit under the seat like super73 zx
Hi is there any way I can mount the battery right under the seat cause in my opinion it looks so much nicer and it seems like it would work because of all the holes for the seat because the seat doesn’t necessarily need all those screws on it
@@BRichSolutionohh ok but can I put the main battery under teh seat like with all those holes for the seat is there a way it can be mounted to the bottom of the seat kinda like a super73 zx

This bike for 945 dollars or Ridstar Q20 for 1100?
Make sure to buy 20Ah version of ridstar Q20. Do not buy the 15Ah version. Why are you seeing $1100 for Q20. Amazon has the 20Ah Q20 for $649 amzn.to/4b8qdEp
