Awesome timing! I listen to your videos while hunting through these loose jars of change. Kind of drives me to keep hunting 🤠 Thanks for the motivation 😉
After watching this, it has me wanting to recheck the 2010 DDO that I have tucked away. I can't remember if it has a P or D mm, or even if it would be a possible candidate for grading. I've come across quite a few early Shield cents (2010 to 2015) though, that I probably should have kept. After this, and now knowing what some have sold for, I'll be paying more attention. Thanks for the info, Shaun.✌
Shaun thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your efforts to educate your viewers about Lincoln Shield pennies! As per your suggestion I would consider Great collection when I am ready to consign my coins!!
Thanks for sharing. I saved and rolled up all the sheikd cents I've ever had. Not that i will find one but it wont hurt to check. I appreciate the info as always!
Amazing great job that you did on the shield cent Also great advice looking forward to the other DDO’s, which should be in the cherry pickers guide I think though 2015 DDO has a nice doubling as well as 2019 DDO
I used to go through new mint state coin rolls. A lot. I sent off several of them to PCGS for grading. But even though I was sure I would get a 67 or 68 grade on some of them, I never got higher than 66. I figured that I probably would have to go through a 1000 boxes to maybe find one 67 or 68. And 10,000 boxes of mint state Lincolns to find a 69. And that's probably too low. Probably 100k boxes to find a 69. I decided that grading is not all it's cracked up to be versus the risk and time involved. So I have just settled on errors and varieties and have found many, many good ones with that strategy.
Love your channel. Sean, you are so incredibly talented. Being a coin guru is no joke. It's extremely complicated, and I commend you for having the due diligence to explain all of the varieties and nature of the coins. I watch you every day. Thank you once again!.
I found 5 1974 Lincoln pennies that are pristine looking, like they were struck yesterday. Are they worth anything? As well as the pennies that have Mr Lincoln sitting on a bench
Hello Shaun What those young stinking zincnsss are worth something well ya I guess with the grade and errors and verity 👀 Xtra cool video and info , thanks now I have more stuff to check in the rolls 😁👍🏾🌵
As I went thru this video I went thru my penny jug. I have what i believe is at least 1 of the 2018 a 2014, 2013, 2014 I think is double the die, 2015 Lincoln shields exactly as you described ( I used lighted magnifier as you was showing them). Where can I sell them?
Great video excellent job I still don’t understand why PCGS would take a 2014 DDO and show the front of the slab with the ugly shield reverse the first thing you do when you grab that slab is you’re gonna turn it to the obverse side and look at the DDO who wants to look at the shield come on man
Hey Blue Ridge. I went to a coin shop today to pick up some more coins they told me that Denver mint was experimenting with plastic pennies. And they could make eight plastic pennies for 1 cent so maybe we should hord any zincins while we can oh boy! Anyhow Mike Northwest Arkansas thank you
I often wonder if the mint made the early shield coins shallow and unattractive to curb people from hoarding and making big bucks on coins that are supposed to be used in commerce.Just a though🤔
What do you suggest for someone in the Seattle area where you rarely see mintmarks besides D? I lose interest when everything valuable is S or P. I quit ebay if you haven't seen my channel.
I have a huge collection of lincoln cent errors dates ranging from 1919- current that I sent a message to great collections and they put their nose up at me and I have a lot of the types of errors that you speak about, maybe not so much on this video, but others... I felt put out by them.... what do you suggest?
Thank you for showing me the best best way on how to going cuz I'm just getting off into it so I'll be following you you straight up straight up I like that.n
Hey there BRSH. So thankful for all the info you provide us, it’s really appreciated. That ‘14 DDO Shield Cent. Is there a reason that PCGS encapsulated the coin with the Reverse facing front in the slab? Seems odd, especially since it’s a DDO……
hey, have a beautifully toned 2000 P Sacagawea on both sides orange and just can't find anything at all like it or even toned period. would like to sell
If that's a 68 red 2018 Cent, then my red rainbow 18 is a 69. Looks like I gotta get about 50 coins graded. 😁 2014 has a double ear also. I have one. I will be sending coins to Wexler very soon that proves double dates for the shields. Every year. With 3 years having double ears/ lobes. Happy hunting.
Ok so I have all of this I just triple check and no lie most of them in better condition, I recently found new penny rolls with this dates underneath the cash register stations that were being moved out of the store, I work at the family business a kosher supermarket thats how I got into the hobbie because most of our costumer are orthodox and the elderly they bring all kinds of interesting currencies like today a gentleman handed me 50 $1 silver certificates anyway… what to do with the pennies? Should I do it? I’m a couple of months new to the coin world so if anyone more experienced could give me advice I would appreciate but if not it’s ok just please don’t be mean because so far I’ve encountered collectors that i guess forgot they also started somewhere and treat the newbie’s like dumb waste of time, sorry for venting and thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Btw sir thank you for this videos that are not just teaching me so much but your voice is so calming and relaxing that my new favorite sleeping aid is to play your voice in the background and 😴.
Off topic question: Is $75-$80 bucks too high to pay for a 1986 Uncirculated Silver Eagle? I've asked several UA-cam coin guy's but have yet to get an answer. --beginner
You know I think that sometimes your commentary part of the vids are endless, I'm not trying to be rude or ugly I'm just saying because I actually have learned, or have been like reminded about something else that I previously had put on the back burner and walked away... So you know cool 😎 on that alone, but you take an informative video and sssttrreettccccchhhhht it to the brink of boring... But that's just my thoughts and hopefully I touched on something that Will in the long run help you for the better... 🙂
These Shield Cents are virtually just horrible quality. The plating is way too thin. Most appear to be weak, low relief strikes. And the least circulation wears em out, and corrosion sets in. Then they're garbage. .
Never a big fan of the shield its just mundane and boring. Put something like the walking liberty or flowing hair design. Something thats pleasing to the eye then a boring shield
Awesome timing! I listen to your videos while hunting through these loose jars of change. Kind of drives me to keep hunting 🤠 Thanks for the motivation 😉
Love your channel very informative!! Thank you for all you do!
Man, you are the best every single day with more valuable coins for search.
Wish I had a Bank Box of 2014 P&D Uncirculated Rolls🤑

Your the best coin guy I like to listen to, clear and understandable. Keep up the good work.
I hope they change the design like real soon.just horrible looking and low relief.

Amazing report Shaun....definitely starting a AU shield book now! . Happy hunting!
Amazing great job that you did on the shield cent
Also great advice looking forward to the other DDO’s, which should be in the cherry pickers guide I think though 2015 DDO has a nice doubling as well as 2019 DDO

@blueridgesilverhound___ hey Shaun what's up said you wanted to share something?

After all that, I would be smashing them in a press, in a fit of hate-fueled rage. 😂
Absolutely Crazzy on the 2015.
Wow no words.
The coin shown at 13:17 looks miserable at 480p...
Love your channel. Sean, you are so incredibly talented. Being a coin guru is no joke. It's extremely complicated, and I commend you for having the due diligence to explain all of the varieties and nature of the coins. I watch you every day. Thank you once again!.
What if I don’t have a mint on my 2019 shield penny? It has no letter D
I found 5 1974 Lincoln pennies that are pristine looking, like they were struck yesterday. Are they worth anything? As well as the pennies that have Mr Lincoln sitting on a bench
Yes, you have a mighty fine, copper-filled gold mine there. Go fourth and seize the the day!!

What do you suggest for someone in the Seattle area where you rarely see mintmarks besides D?
I lose interest when everything valuable is S or P.
I quit ebay if you haven't seen my channel.
S is supposed to be more common San Francisco is closer than Denver.
You'd think anyways.

Hi, I was just wondering what year this is in. Is it a recent year??
2014 DDR, I don't see it on that penny you showed, seems you forget often to show what is the error 🙂
The penny collector goes over pennies from 2010 2022 the side is pretty cool.
Off topic question: Is $75-$80 bucks too high to pay for a 1986 Uncirculated Silver Eagle?
I've asked several UA-cam coin guy's but have yet to get an answer.

I have two 2013 Sheild one cent coins very clean open to offers
Where do I sell my coin collection. I have many very interesting coins .
Am I the only ones that actually likes the new reverse? I've never heard anyone say anything positive about it.
Think it's too simple.what is the history behind the shield?on other coins
You know I think that sometimes your commentary part of the vids are endless, I'm not trying to be rude or ugly I'm just saying because I actually have learned, or have been like reminded about something else that I previously had put on the back burner and walked away... I I'm not getting any notifications bro haven't been for about a week??
1 bid sales are not always legit.
I know a person that buys from themself .
I never pay attention to single bid sales.
Linhcon shield from 1967 and 2021
They all look the same to me, even under magnification 🤷
Idk
I like the shield revers .
love you btw
Ave moa sa moned😊
oh amd a 1943 Big P weighs 4.8g war nickel...call me lol no joke
and I just took $38 of shield cents to the bank :(
Why would you do that? I stored them as I sorted Lincoln Memorials and Wheats / knowing that I would go back looking for Errors.
@@pandorasblackboxproduction6742 Well, I was moving and downsizing my collection. LOL
Wow
Git to the part where it tells how much the coin is worth
These Shield Cents are virtually just horrible quality. The plating is way too thin. Most appear to be weak, low relief strikes. And the least circulation wears em out, and corrosion sets in.
Then they're garbage. .
Dang I have couple of those years in way better condition
❤❤
I don’t like the new coins. The quality is just so poor. They scratch if you look at them too long.
i watch alot
Shield pennies are a disgrace. Absolutely horrible design
COULD NOT AGREE MORE!
It’s like, wipe those ‘nitials off that coin! that ain’t nothin’ to be proud of, son!
Never a big fan of the shield its just mundane and boring. Put something like the walking liberty or flowing hair design. Something thats pleasing to the eye then a boring shield
These zinc coins will not last they rot easier and faster these were not made to last
