I’ve lived in Bremerton and Port Orchard for the past 2 years, and this place is beautiful. People are actually quite friendly here. Drugs and crime are a problem, but it’s mostly property crime, meaning, if it’s not locked or bolted down, it will disappear. Honestly, show me a place in the PNW where drugs aren’t a big problem. As for racism, I’m racially ambiguous. Some people think I’m black/white, mexican or middle eastern. Regardless, While I’ve had a couple of instances where someone is not thrilled with my skin color, I can say that about everywhere I’ve ever lived. I will say that racial diversity isn’t Kitsap counties forte, but that doesn’t mean there is none at all. The kitsap peninsula is beautiful! I have no regrets moving here. I’ve made a lot of great friend, have an excellent job, and a beautiful home. If you love the outdoors, there is a ton of outdoor activities here.

I was ready to buy a property in Bremerton after watchingyour videos, but after I saw a video from another person saying that Bremerton is very racist and she was leaving for good which made me think again. I'm mexican so I feel I would have same issues as this black woman. I'm a navy mom and wanted be closer to my grandkids, but super bummed that this beautiful area is possibly a sundown town☹
Thank you for for watching my video. I have lived here my whole life and have close friends of many different races & ethnicities, and as far as I know, none of them have experienced that here. We have people from Texas and other states moving up here to get away from it. I wouldn't base it off of one persons experience. I am so sorry this other person experienced that. I would consider this area to be more forward thinking than that, and not so narrow mind.
Seems it is true, all my friends of other nationalitys, even from graduating Bremerton high school in 1987 do not live here any longer, I worked in Port Orchard and in the back room at a retail store I worked at appualed me and I origonally came from Topeka Ks., a very racist town.
The flannel dragonfly-thank you for watching my video. As far as mold goes, as long as the house is constructed right, and maintained, gutters kept clean, sealed around windows and doors, you should be ok. We do have issues with bathrooms not having fans or being vented properly. But, this is why having a home inspection done before purchasing is so important. I hope that helps you.
Thank you so much for watching my video! We definitely have a good hospital here, and plenty of doctors. Plus, we are very close to all the hospitals and specialists in Seattle as well. I hope this helps answer your questions. i am happy to help!

@@HomesByStrand Okay. Thank you for your response. We are still moving to WA, but maybe to Whidbey Island.

Is there mold issues in homes because of so much moisture in the air? Just wondering.

Avoid Bremerton and Port Orchard. Lots of crime here, too.

oooh this hair do girl
F.Y.I. a junk studio apartment is $900 minimum here, not a place to live if you are on disability, you can't afford it.
You can't even find 900 a month anymore maybe she should update this anything under 1500 is a steal right now
