Denzel has so many great movies it's easy to miss one or two. This is one that a ton of people missed, but it really is a great movie. That scene where Azazel shows himself to Hobbs, traveling through the people walking back and forth, is absolutely amazing. The first time I saw it, I thought it was just the creepiest thing I'd ever seen. Great reaction y'all.
Edit: If you want to stick with this sort of theme check out 'The Devil's Advocate'. It has Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino. It is one of my all time favorites.

The plan at the end was to Seperate the demon from any any human hosts... Hence the 500 cubits Azazel could survive outside a host... No one knew about the animal thing, as if they did they would have known a forest is a terrible place for this... Also, the person in the window is listed as a "goof" on IMDB so probably was a crew person or something...

I worked at the video rental store a couple of years around the year 2000. We had over 10,000 different movies. And, we had our own staff pick shelf.
    My staff pick shelf.
    1. The Wizard of Oz
    2. The Army of Darkness
    3. Fallen
    4. Reservoir Dogs
    5. (Different movie every week)
Army of Darkness, Fallen, and Reservoir Dogs, people would watch those movies and come back for more.
So, I would think Fallen was a pretty big movie back then.
I miss video stores. The one I worked at was in North East Tucson called Premiere Video. Most video stores back then had around 500 titles. We had over 10,000. We had an actor and actress section, which you really didn't see back then. That's the only place I personally ever saw it. We had a horror section that was a room with a cabin in woods exterior, with a porch and porch roof. We had a kid section that had this robotic puppet that played music with a life-size piano keyboard, sitting on a stage. There was also a tv wall with 9 television screens. And we were busy. DVDs were just starting out, so most of the movies were VHS,
    Fun facts:
    1. VHS movies in the store were $20, but VHS movies at the video store were mostly $80 and up. Video rental VHS tapes were higher quality to last longer.
    2. We fixed VHS tapes daily. Tape either breaks or gets crunched. You just cut off any undesirable part of the take and take it back together. Regular scotch tape works, but we used actual tape pre-cut specially made for fixing VHS tapes. You can cut 12 feet of tape and not even notice it while watching the movie. 12 feet is something like half a frame or something like that.

Denzel Washington. John Goodman. Donald Sutherland. James Gandolfini. It just doesn't get any better than that. And then you add to that a fantastic script, pure gold.

He was not Azazel, it was Azazel telling the story of the time he was almost out smarted. John almost won but it went into the cat. He gave up his life, nephew and a woman who was very special to him. But like her father before John. Azazel still got away.

"Siege," "Deja Vu," and "Out of Time" are 3 interesting Denzel movies that might have never been in a reaction video.
I'm actually surprised that they didn't think "fallen angel." That was the first thing that popped into my mind. The movie flat-out explained that it's an evil spirit being transmitted via touch, and they were still lost.
It's not "de-stable;" it's "detestable." Babylon was the sinful, multicultural city that had to be destroyed. Cobbs wasn't unclean or detestable.

The language wasn't Arabic. It was Aramaic, the language spoken in the Holy Land at the time of Jesus 2000 years ago, now basically considered lost.
And if you rewatch, listen to what Greta explains to Hobbs about those spirits being fallen Angels that God cast out of Heaven. That's the main reference of the movie's title.
Y'all got what the letters were spelling out way before I did when I first watched it years ago. I was slow on the uptake on that one.
Don't know if you noticed but at the end, outside of the cabin, when John Goodman was singing "Time Is On My Side" he did a funny little Mick Jagger impersonation. Nice little homage to that Rolling Stones 60's classic.

This movie used to be a lot more popular. It may not have been TERMINATOR 2 or FIGHT CLUB popular, but it was known and played frequently on TBS. But for some reason, it's almost a deep cut in Denzel's career despite being a headliner at the time. I don't understand why, either.
