I am from Sri Lanka. I have done this round trip by bike. Started from Gampola. Nuwara Eliya. Badulla. To Batticaloa. Trinco Anuradhapura. Puttalam Negombo Warakapola and back to Gampola through Kadugannawa. We did not have electric bikes or cellphones.

The sunrise scenic beauty was nicely captured while you were traveling toward B'Caloa in the early morning. The lagoon hotel man should let you in at least for courtesy and must realize how tired you were when reaching their place. But God has shown you the gentleman Adrian to help you stay and allowed you to charge batteries, especially since you found the sea bath as a refreshment. Kattankudy street foods are delicious and the cassava boiled and fried chips are the Batti's special, they called it Kulukkal and can be used as bites. Community tourism was experienced on an island and the fishermen made dishes were nice to see for us to learn a new things to explore. Thank you guys.👍
Very interesting episode, had glimpses of the outstanding photography. You are doing a fabulous job promoting the country. One of the things that was noticed in your cycle tour was vast empty spaces which I’m assumed to be jungle clearing ,this is sad as it destroys the habitats of wild life. The most interesting part of the episode was kept to the last I.e.the NGO funded fishermen project which is a fabulous initiative that I hopefully would visit one day plus the street food town. This will have to be visited with a local to sample the food. As usual your blog had a “hotel” sneaked in which didn’t add much value to the story line. All in all lots of important bits and pieces. Thank you.

Well done. Keep going. Brings memories. Do a video on Horton plains. Cannot reach by bike. It covers 5 districts. I have hiked through all 5 districts. I have climbed all the top mountains and water falls in Sri Lanka.
I love Amaya beach next to Maalu Maalu. Fantastic place. Luxurious, super service and great food. Maalu Maalu is expensive with nothing much to write home about.
Sheneller , Kanthankudy street foods are super and seva organised village style foods with boat ride it was amazing ..Dutch burger community given you grand wellcome ..I never forget to hv Dutch rice ..Lump rice ..hmm yummy ...after cook you can keep it in freezer and after you steam it hv any time... ❤️👍🙏

Hi there! We did an average of about 60kms and around 100kms once or twice! It wasnt too bad mainly because we had gotten used to the stress of riding by the time we reached the east coast 😄
