Just because you had an awkward interaction with the first guy there is no need to jump to conclusions. As you saw later, others were happy to approach you. Some people just freeze when they know they are being filmed, probably because they have limited English & don't want to be embarrassed. Also buying stuff for random strangers who can afford them , could also annoy them especially when they know it's being recorded.
Exactly.. the culture in srilanka is quite different like you said.. the lady will come to know at the end of the trip in srilanka. You can’t judge people just because of single incident. live recording will not be welcome as the people in srilanka are beginning to adapt to new trends..have a good day anyway..
