Just found you mamma of 7 here! HELLO🙋♀️ so glad everything turned out great!!! 🙏🙏💖 sorry for the physical trama! My second child was huge too! It was a crazy natural hospital birth! 11lbs12ozs lol I pushed for him for 30 straight mins! He was just big no hang ups… however my 4th baby did get hung up sort of lol I had to push her head and entire right extended arm together!!! 8.9lbs my 3 rd baby was an emergency C-Section Dr Trauma and extreme stress from the dr ended up stressing out my baby we were 8cm and dr told me to hold him in! 😡😡😡 his heartrate was 210bpm for 2HOURS!!!😭😭😭😡😡😡😤😤😤 they put the heartbeat head thing on him cause he was soo active they got lazy with try to keep finding his heartbeat… that was extremely stressful! I fired the dr! Terrible terrible experience I have very deep PTSD from that! My 7 th baby was induced because my BP started rising and they didn’t want an emergency I was a week late anyhow as I usually end up lol 😂 baby 5 was 3 weeks late! She was perfectly healthy and wrinkled and peely lol like a prune all over lol 💖💖💖 my 6th baby was awesome! Haha we rushed to the hospital (45mins drive) after 2 weeks of prodromal labor lol 😆 we get there I asked for the wheelchair I couldn’t straighten out had to be bent over.. she thought I could walk still I was labor moaning and contracting every like 4 mins! Lady get me the wheelchair this is my 6th baby!!!! I get in the building despite calling when we left (45 mins to prepare for me) they weren’t READY!!🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ they checked me all in, check me I was 9cm with a bulging bag!!! Haha 10 mins after getting my IV! I’m pushing!! He came flying out!! Haha 😂 and the bag EXPLODED EVERYWHERE!! Hahaha 😂😂😂🥳🥳🥳 hilarious!!! Was awesome!! Almost had him in the truck! Haha! 😂😂
I had a 9 pound 14 oz 23 1/2 inch long boy that gave me 4th degree tear and put me in the ICU. I actually coded on the table bc I had a severe hemorrhage.. Whats crazy is I seriously contemplated having him at home.
I was also grateful for the expertise of my midwife with the fourth baby.. All of my labors were fast and easy but the fourth baby didn't breathe well after birth and she knew just what to do to keep him safe and healthy.
Please no more home births. You are so lucky he is alive with prolonged shoulder dystocia. This is so dangerous and does not end well for mom and baby.
I’ve been checking in to see if you’ve had the baby! So exciting! And so thankful you had. A midwife this time, wow that sounds scary! He looks so perfect, look at that snuggle bug! Can’t believe he was over 11lb! Good job momma!!
I was scrolling and the title caught my attention . I’m a NICU RN and your story is terrifying . Your lucky your sweet baby is alive , knowing you have big babies the chances of shoulder dystocia increases . To put a baby at risk like this is just crazy .
Thank you! The risk for baby and mom is just not worth it! It doesn’t matter how many times it “works out” Those that lose In the russian roulette of homebirth, Im sure they wish they could go back. It’s statistically less safe than hospital births. Not that hospitals are perfect but you have a much better chance.
I’m a retired OB nurse who has not retired to keeping up on education. I wonder why people think judging what happened in such a unloving way will help. I think this lady is smart enough to figure out that she should make different decisions in the future. Please be careful with new mothers hearts, just saying.
What would have made it safer? Everything a hospital birth can provide! Advanced birth assistance, episiotomy, fetal scalp monitoring, oxygen monitoring and CPR....this baby could have been admitted to NICU and Mom would have been considered for C-section.@@shavonnadeephraimisrael4126
@@shavonnadeephraimisrael4126the midwife did do an amazing job. And she was lucky that she was able to get the shoulder unstuck. In a hopital, yes a C-section would’ve probably been done when your birth stalled. They are better equipped in a hospital to deal with situations like this. I am so happy mom and baby are healthy. Like she said in her video, 2 lives could’ve easily been lost that day
Congratulations and good job to you and your whole team!! I had a very similar birth with my last baby, my 7th. He was 11 bps but was born white, no HB or breathing. Being an apprentice midwife myself we kicked into action and he is absolutely ok and things were handled beautifully!❤
Correct, not illegal in the US, but what if your baby or you continued to be in distress? By the time you called emergency medical services and they got there, it would have been too late. Quite a gamble and fortunately, you are both fine…but it was just that…a gamble. Speaking from the point of a retired paramedic.
I guess all the ignorant people on youtube have decided to converge on this one video.... anyway... Good job mama! My niece had a shoulder distocia and the OBs decided to vaccum her out which caused her collar bone to break (which they provided no care for and decided to not tell my sister) and caused my sister to hemorrhage and have a 3rd degree tear. Seems like your midwife did a good job considering the difficult circumstance. Baby Theodore is beautiful ❤
Oh that poor girl!!! 💔 Thank you for your comment. I'm not too concerned about all them watching and commenting because it helps grow my channel so my videos get seen more 😉 The more people that watch and comment, the more youtube pushes out all my videos.
Shoulder dystocia is no joke. I had it with my last child (boy nine and a half pounds). Thankfully, I was at the hospital delivering with an obstetrician. He finally had a nurse on one side and my husband on the other side push down as he pulled and my son came out. He was rushed to the NICU for respiratory distress and I had a broken and displced rib fracture. A small price to pay for him to be ok by day 3.
You did great! A beautiful healthy boy. Your body is not going to grow a baby it cannot birth unless you have some kind of health problems ie diabetes. Please ignore the people that live in fear of birth. You know well that birth works after having 6 babies! Don’t forget to take time to heal from the trauma of this birth, having someone’s hands inside you during such a special and vulnerable time can be a lot to process mentally.
I have had large babies: 8.10-12.10. The smaller ones happened when I only ate small amounts of simple carbs during pregnancy (I quit gluten so I didn’t each much bread, etc). I never had GD, just big babies. Glad it all worked out well.
@1898Mama I'm a 6ft tall and 260lbs woman. Guys always said I had birthing hips...never had a baby tho 😅. My mom had the most difficult time with my big big head 😊.
Praise God! You're so right, the midwife was there because you needed her! I had 5 live births, my first born in the hospital where I was an L&D nurse, with a midwife, but medically managed! My next 4 were born at home, 2 in the US, 1 in Okinawa, the last in Germany! My 3rd baby was my biggest! He was born in Okinawa with a midwife. He weighed 10 pounds, and I pushed for 45 minutes, using a upright position!! I, too, used the wonderful Japanese tub for a while, but my contractions slowed so I got out! Thankfully I pushed him out over an intact perineum and he was crying and pink! I did have a retained placenta and went to the Japanese hospital but was discharged later in the day, at my insistence!! I was grateful for my midwife, my husband, and my friend who went with us because I was never separated from my baby and well treated. My son is now 33 years old!! My oldest is 38 and my youngest is 23!! I was so grateful we were able to have our homebirths. I'm so glad you had the help you needed and trusted. Praise God!
Wow, praise The Lord for a safe delivery of your sweet baby!! That is incredible how big he was, I’m so happy it worked out. I’ve had two little boys, both born at home, and I am so thankful for that opportunity because home births are so amazing. My first son was only 7lb, 10oz, and my second was 8lb, 8oz, which I felt like was really big. 😂 Not compared to your little guy!! 😅 I am definitely going to have to check into the Christian Healthcare ministries, because our insurance rates recently skyrocketed, and we are hoping to switch soon! 😅
You should, we save over $500 a month by using them instead of my husbands work insurance. We’ve used them twice now (my son had an eye surgery) and both times they have been amazing!
Home births scare me for this very reason. If she was not able to get him unstuck, there’s no OR ! No dr. And at that point 911 is going to be too late. I’m glad you AND baby are happy and healthy
Wow. Sounds like you had terrible midwives. Are you saying they never checked a number of times through the pushing stage? Especially with labor stalling. That right there is a red flag. And why did they not quickly do an episiotomy to help that shoulder come out?
I had three large sons 2002-2006. Two shoulder dystocias. Third born, midwife in hospital, was at 4 minutes and boy oh boy. It was very close. The midwives Saved Everything.
Unfortunately for Christian healthcare ministries, you have to start paying for the gold plan before you even conceive. I tried joining after conceiving at 16 weeks because this was their cutoff for any coverage but I couldn't get the gold plan. So I just never continued with them. I'm 26 weeks now
My 13 year old said his shoulder’s were stuck from the point you mentioned he was crowning and nothing was happening. She knew and your midwife didn’t for so many hours?!?!?!
Man did you get checked for gestational diabetes? I’m wanting to know why nobody called 911!! If you can’t afford a midwife then why keep having all these kids?
Sounds horrific. I had to have an emergency c section w my second. Literally butt up in the air, being wheeled down the hall while the nurse was trying to put in a catheter, & the anistiologist was putting me under. My obgyn (in practice 25 yr) said she had never seen a baby that tangled. It turned out fine & I'm happy ya'll are ok! But would never risk mine or my baby's life by not having a hospital, Dr's & a full staff. Prayers aren't enough sometimes. Enjoy your new bundle 😊
no it wasn't low. I tested around 20 weeks and never had anything pop up. All my babies have been "big" compared to others. This one just took the cake.
Mother of two, both mid-wife attended homebirths, both 43 weeks. I am smallish. Baby number one labored from Friday morning until early Monday morning, hitting transition late Sunday evening. Three hours of pushing a posterior baby with asynclitic presentation, on my back (which I wouldn't do again), a tear and a long 8.8 baby with good Apgars. 45 minutes of stitching before I got to nurse my baby. I was exhausted, and had a rough start with breastfeeding that took three weeks to overcome, with constant support from my mid-wife and an incredible LC. Ligament damage left me with a cystocele, which complicated the healing of the tear for about four months. I didn't sit comfortably and couldn't stay on my feet for prolonged periods for about eleven months. A consult with an Ob told me it would never feel better, but it did. Baby #2, went from mild labour at 4 cm, to water broken, followed immediately by four intense contractions with involuntary pushes. In the midst of that, my mid-wife told me to squat, which I initially resisted until she insisted. I remember the commanding sound in her voice that made me realize that it was not an option, and the position change made all the difference. Baby was in my arms in 12 minutes (from water break), despite turtling due to shoulder dystocia and no rotation. Second mid-wife had not yet arrived. Immediately following the birth, lol, the midwife was giving herself rescue remedy. 10.6 round baby with slightly lower first Apgar, ate like a pro a few minutes later. My BP took a bit to normalize. After the first feed, I had two hours of stitching by the second mid-wife (steadier hands), having narrowly escaped a fourth degree tear. This time despite a rectocele, I had less of the aching pain after and a shorter recovery. I LOVED giving birth, but on top of having been clinically ill during pregnancy (on IV for many months), postpartum took a lot out of me. I have had to be careful about lifting, avoid tight waistbands and do some inverted exercises. Occasional counter pressure needed for stooling. Decades later I have had no repairs, but shouldn't delay when I get the urge to pee. ALL births should be planned for assistance, because you just never know and it is a big risk to take without trained help.
I dont 😩 i had the cameras set up and filming in the room I planned on birthing it, but things changed so fast that there wasn’t even a thought to get the cameras
My 8th (of 9) baby's homebirth was just like that and he was 11 lbs with a 16+ inch head and huge chest/shoulders (I'm 5'2"). We were shocked he was so large. We thought he was around 9lb12oz like my 4th. We took him for his two-day check at the Navy hospital and he was 11 lb 4oz. All of my home births were covered 100% by Tricare.
So the midwife just let you be crowned for that long? That’s insane. And if your contractions slowed on top of that and they just let you sleep? What was the miad wife even thinking? Was your mid-wife even there at that point? That is hugely dangerous.
And shoulders getting stuck .. happens in the hospital too. Has a lot to do with the size of the baby. My oldest son got stuck and I had a hospital birth. Same thing could have happened in the hospital and the doctors would have done the same thing.
I’m theory nothing. Not every labor or pregnancy is the same and the fact you said you would have done it without help if it weren’t for the financial break you got-your baby would have died and you could have too. Sigh.
Because when we did have health insurance, we barely ever used it. It was not worth paying such extreme amounts for. But, even when we did do hospital births with very good insurance, we still had to pay $4k plus per baby after insurance. And I keep having babies because I want to raise nice human beings to place into the world.
😳 this happened to me with my 4th a severe shoulder distotia, thank God i was in hospital! I also hemmoraged and it took a team of about 10 to deal with the situation of myself and my son to resuscitate him he was stuck for so long 😭. We nearly died and would have if we were at home. Scariest thing ever i had to have a major operation after also and a broken bone. If you can go to a hospital please do ❤
This is why home is a much safer option. Midwives are trainer to know what to do , in hospital the only option is C section which is major surgery and always risky
Ha. Look into the difference in costs/billing of a hospital birth versus home. THAT is the reason. Check out the documentary called "the business of being born."
This shoulder dystocia probably took years off your midwives life btw. Has no one watched the horrible story of the couple that home birthed because of the visitor restrictions due to covid, because they wanted Dad to be present when she had a horrible shoulder dystocia and the baby died! This could have happened!!
Home births to me are to risky. I would never get over having a doctor say to me, well had you had this baby in the hospital we could have saved your son. Nope, no way. This isn’t the dark ages.
Midwives are VERY well equipped for medical emergencies. Home birth is even considered safer than giving birth in a hospital and is significantly less likely to cause trauma to the mother
I don't understand this culture of homebirths. I've read too many stories of babies ending up dead, or with severe disabilities resulting from home births gone wrong. Women need to stop putting their romanticized ideal of a perfect natural birth above the safety of their own babies. You are lucky to be alive, and so is your son. Hopefully there is no long term complications from this.
You should check what the American College of OBGYNs said recently: "Recent studies have found that when compared with planned hospital births, planned home births are associated with fewer maternal interventions, including labor induction or augmentation, regional analgesia, electronic fetal heart rate monitoring, episiotomy, operative vaginal delivery, and cesarean delivery"
@@1898Mama it's those very interventions that save babies and mother's lives when things go wrong. Labour may be a natural thing, but things can and do go wrong. Your quote discussed higher interventions, not the safety of the baby, which is what my comment was about. Midwives are great and highly trained, but the fact is they can't do everything an obgyn can do, like perform an emergency cesarean. Minutes count when babies aren't getting oxygen, and waiting for an ambulance can result in help that comes too late. Mother's need to make decisions based on the health of their baby, not on their personal wishes for a romanticized home birth. And then they put pressure on other moms to follow in their footsteps.
@@MsKgren I thank god every day that I was in the hospital when I had a sudden placental abruption. If I had been at home, we'd both be dead. They immediately put me under for a c-section and my baby was out in minutes. Even then, she had oxygen deprivation in those few minutes, and the fear of not knowing whether your baby will have brain damage is not something I would wish on anyone.
@@embum79 thank you for speaking out! I am so glad you and your baby are ok. This is exactly the type of situation that can happen, and it's not that rare. Maybe your story will make another Mom think twice if they are considering a homebirth.
Me, too! My son was only 9.4 but had a large head. He was stuck once he crowned and even though there wasn't enough room for the baby to come through easily the doctor tried using forceps. The forceps did not help with the delivery. They did leave me with a cracked tail bone and my son with a pocket of fluid on the side of his head that had to measured and monitored for weeks. No one told me that my tail bone was injured until I complained about the pain at my 6 wk check up. He wasn't my first baby but he was my last because they kept getting bigger!
Glad it’s all ok now but listening to your story I got really mad u could have lost your baby by having a home birth. When babies are as big as yours u need to be in a hospital. It’s hard to birth a baby that big it should hav been a c section
I was pregnant with my first baby at 17. I was in labor for 17 hours and pushed for almost 3 hours. Finally had him, he was 10.6lbs 23 & 3/4" long. No medications but afterward I needed some pain relief. His head broke my tailbone when he came out, an episiotomy that took over an hour to stitch up. Dr. came in the next morning and said, "we should have c-section that baby". All that to say things go wrong in hospitals too. The baby boy is a grown man and is extremely tall with 8 kids of his own. ❤
You might want to breast feed in a calm manner out of the limelight of the world -- the baby just keeps being jiggled and what is with the constant tapping on his arm! He looks so uncomfortable! What is with all the hand gestures in the wind? I get dizzy watching you but no more!
No one should have their babies unassisted and no one should give birth at home. Midwives are welcomed in hospitals and you can do the Tub birth at hospitals too. There are way too many home birth influencers that glorify this making it look good and some with no assistance and they glorify that they did it on their own. No one should follow people like that. Sorry-not sorry.
Quit trolling her comments. Home birth is safe, there are some circumstances we just can’t predict or change. Get off of her comments fear mongering and lecturing.
@marisaovarets : you are very naive, birth in general is risky. Modern medical interventions were developed precisely to save maternal and baby deaths. Learn some history!

She was perfectly healthy and wrinkled and peely lol like a prune all over lol
💖💖💖 my 6th baby was awesome!
That's so awesome! Good for you!
I love how he smiles while you're telling his story.❤❤❤
Please no more home births. You are so lucky he is alive with prolonged shoulder dystocia. This is so dangerous and does not end well for mom and baby.
His shoulders are as long as my babies are when they are born! So strong an I’m glad you both made it out ok!
I’ve been checking in to see if you’ve had the baby! So exciting! And so thankful you had. A midwife this time, wow that sounds scary! He looks so perfect, look at that snuggle bug! Can’t believe he was over 11lb! Good job momma!!
Thank you so much!!
It doesn’t matter how many times it “works out” Those that lose
In the russian roulette of homebirth, Im sure they wish they could go back. It’s statistically less safe than hospital births. Not that hospitals are perfect but you have a much better chance.
Just saw your comment..what would have made it safer in the hospital? Getting a c section? The midwife did a fabulous job with the tools she used.
Like she said in her video, 2 lives could’ve easily been lost that day
I am so thankful you had the support you did there with you! Praise Jesus! 0:59 🙌🏼❤️ So happy you are all doing so good!
Congratulations and good job to you and your whole team!! I had a very similar birth with my last baby, my 7th. He was 11 bps but was born white, no HB or breathing. Being an apprentice midwife myself we kicked into action and he is absolutely ok and things were handled beautifully!❤
Great job! I'm so happy for you!
Sorry, but at what point was someone going to call 911?
I was initially contemplating it because I have already done it. Not illegal in therUS
Thank you for your comment. I'm not too concerned about all them watching and commenting because it helps grow my channel so my videos get seen more 😉 The more people that watch and comment, the more youtube pushes out all my videos.
JESUS was definitely taking care of you all the way thru. This from the start with the Chritian ministries girl.bless you all.
Congratulations on getting a beautiful baby boy. Sounds like a rough go.
Thank you so much for your kind comment!
I have had large babies: 8.10-12.10. The smaller ones happened when I only ate small amounts of simple carbs during pregnancy (I quit gluten so I didn’t each much bread, etc). I never had GD, just big babies. Glad it all worked out well.
It is amazing how fast everyone goes to blame GD. Some of us just have big babies 🤗
@1898Mama I'm a 6ft tall and 260lbs woman. Guys always said I had birthing hips...never had a baby tho 😅. My mom had the most difficult time with my big big head 😊.
Praise the Lord, He was with you and baby. He is good! Bless you and your family 🙏
Thank you so much!
I hope you meant that his shoulders were 17 centimeters wide, not inches! He's adorable.
Home births scare me for this very reason. If she was not able to get him unstuck, there’s no OR ! No dr. And at that point 911 is going to be too late. I’m glad you AND baby are happy and healthy
THAT IS A VERY BIG BABY. ❤❤
Wow. Sounds like you had terrible midwives. Are you saying they never checked a number of times through the pushing stage? Especially with labor stalling. That right there is a red flag. And why did they not quickly do an episiotomy to help that shoulder come out?
The shoulder was most likely behind the pelvis bone...an episiotomy would have done nothing.
I had three large sons 2002-2006. Two shoulder dystocias. Third born, midwife in hospital, was at 4 minutes and boy oh boy. It was very close. The midwives Saved Everything.
This was a scary birth. It was a close call, but I’m glad you and your son are doing better now.
Thank you, God!
Unfortunately for Christian healthcare ministries, you have to start paying for the gold plan before you even conceive. I tried joining after conceiving at 16 weeks because this was their cutoff for any coverage but I couldn't get the gold plan. So I just never continued with them. I'm 26 weeks now
Oh my god! So happy to live in Canada
Horrendousbirth story and midwife should be out of practice! Lady, if you have more, go to the hospital!
Oh psh. Majority of home births are perfectly smooth. Do some unbias research lady.
I’ve had 3 hospital births. This one was still better than those.
So lucky you had a good outcome. Could have gone terribly wrong.
So happy everything is good now. Praise the Lord he set you up to have a midwife
Congratulations! Well done! He is beautiful.
My 13 year old said his shoulder’s were stuck from the point you mentioned he was crowning and nothing was happening. She knew and your midwife didn’t for so many hours?!?!?!
Sounds like your 13 year old needs to be in this field!
Praise the Lord, you are both healthy!! Congratulations, he is so cute 😍
Man did you get checked for gestational diabetes? I’m wanting to know why nobody called 911!! If you can’t afford a midwife then why keep having all these kids?
Yes, I got checked, and didn't have it. All of my babies have been big, this one was just much bigger. And I keep having kids because I love them.
Great job and congrats on your new addition!
Congrats! He is beautiful! I've been waiting to hear the news. :)
Thank you so much!
sorry, but a home birth with an extremely big baby is very irresponsible...
Your beautiful boy congratulations ...hope its all plain sailing from now on xxxgod bless Theodore
I checked into a midwife with my 2 son but the risk wasn't worth it. No amount of money is worth a baby's life or the mother's.
I am amazed they didn't call 911
I would assume you might have had some gestational diabetes with him weighing over 11#. Was his blood sugar low when he was born?
no it wasn't low. I tested around 20 weeks and never had anything pop up. All my babies have been "big" compared to others. This one just took the cake.
Unlikely it was checked by the midwife.
@@ellenweber7174midwives always check blood sugar. They usually check everything, a full panel, to make sure the pregnancy is low risk.
Did I misunderstand, or was she initially contemplating having the baby at home without assistance ?!! That would be illegal in the UK ...
It’s not illegal in the UK. It’s called ‘free birthing’. It’s completely legal to choose to have an unassisted home birth.
Congratulations🎉 So happy you both are doing well.
Thank you! We are doing great!
Congratulations ❤
We're you past your due date with him?
Also, congrats, he's ADORABLE, and you are a boss!
Yes, I was 41 and 6
where is the girl with the list!
do you have the whole videos about it🥰
I dont 😩 i had the cameras set up and filming in the room I planned on birthing it, but things changed so fast that there wasn’t even a thought to get the cameras
Totally irresponsible care. I have been doing this for 26 years, not safe.
"Not safe"
yet everyone involved is healthy and fine lol 😆
And shoulders getting stuck .. happens in the hospital too. Has a lot to do with the size of the baby. My oldest son got stuck and I had a hospital birth. Same thing could have happened in the hospital and the doctors would have done the same thing.
I have had 3 babies at home. The first one at home the paramedics came 5 minutes before she was born. I would never not have a midwife with me.
I’m theory nothing. Not every labor or pregnancy is the same and the fact you said you would have done it without help if it weren’t for the financial break you got-your baby would have died and you could have too. Sigh.
You're right. Thankfully I have CHM now because even with our old state insurance, we wouldn't have been able to afford paying the hospital bills.
I'm wondering why are you keep having babies when you cannot afford any health insurance. You are very lucky.
Because when we did have health insurance, we barely ever used it. It was not worth paying such extreme amounts for. But, even when we did do hospital births with very good insurance, we still had to pay $4k plus per baby after insurance. And I keep having babies because I want to raise nice human beings to place into the world.
My 2nd baby was with a midwife. I was transferred to the hospital because baby was too big. 10 La 12.5 ounces delivered by c-section
Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 ❤
Thank you!
Sounds like gestational diabetes which is more common in older women.
If you can go to a hospital please do ❤
This is deeply disturbing
Then why are you watching it?
@@1898Mama I didn't know it was going to disturb me until I watched it. I'm sorry that happened to you and your baby.
Wow! This could've gone so bad.
This is why home is a much safer option. Midwives are trainer to know what to do , in hospital the only option is C section which is major surgery and always risky
👏👏👏👏👏
There's a reason insurance companies don't cover home births....
They did with mine. Medicare at that.
Ha. Look into the difference in costs/billing of a hospital birth versus home. THAT is the reason. Check out the documentary called "the business of being born."
Sounds like maybe he was getting less oxygen as the placenta was coming loose for so long.
This shoulder dystocia probably took years off your midwives life btw.
Has no one watched the horrible story of the couple that home birthed because of the visitor restrictions due to covid, because they wanted Dad to be present when she had a horrible shoulder dystocia and the baby died!
This could have happened!!
Anyone. Suck out any of the mucus. You have know idea how lucky this little guy is alive. Lack of oxygen could be an issue
Home births to me are to risky. I would never get over having a doctor say to me, well had you had this baby in the hospital we could have saved your son. Nope, no way. This isn’t the dark ages.
Right? 100% agree.
Baby's born in hospitals die too
Statistically home births are safer than hospital births. Lets respect others choices. Congratulations on your new addition!
Midwives are VERY well equipped for medical emergencies. Home birth is even considered safer than giving birth in a hospital and is significantly less likely to cause trauma to the mother
@@Tarwesmoothie homebirth is not safer than hospital births. What a lie.
My daughter would not be alive today if she had been born at home
OUCH!!! I will stick with 5# babies ! Not likely to have another due to hysterectomy and my last baby being 30!!!
Did midwife check babys heart rate while he was stuck? You are lucky hes ok. Wow. I never wanted home birth but everyone has their own views.
Agree. Oxygen deprivation is no joke. This was such a useless risk to take. Other babies haven't been so lucky.
They broke my tale bone because my son was too big
Thanks for your parenting advice. I'll put it in the book I'm writing about all 6 of my breastfeeding journeys.
Time will tell. Don't do that again!
Also, if this was an unassisted delivery your baby would have died. FYI.
Jesus. We have hospitals for a reason. Has he even been to a pediatrician? Is six enough?
Why would someone like you be watching anything more natural-minded, anyway ? Just to be an internet troll.
They don’t allow tub births or midwives at the hospitals in my area.
@marisaovarets : you are very naive, birth in general is risky. Modern medical interventions were developed precisely to save maternal and baby deaths. Learn some history!
🌹
It takes a very ignorant women to have a home birth! It’s so unsafe! Why would anyone put their baby at risk like this??!!
Because I’ve done the research. I’ve had hospital births. I’ve had homebirths. And I’m thankful I had a midwife this round instead of a typical OB.
Your a selfish women and I feel sorry for your children.
O and your feet on the bed knees up and together with feet apart.
Can't believe there are people that still do this, why not go to a hospital instead of exposing babies to complications/death
….because some have had bad hospital births. This would have ended in C-section at a hospital. Midwife handled it fantastically.
EXACTLY!!! Too many sheep following influencers and bleeting their oh how lovelies.
God knows what He’s doing. He knew you were going to need the midwife
We said the same thing! Isn't that insane?!
Hope no more.
I'm going to go try to make another one right now and if we conceive, I'll name him or her after you.
