Congratulations! My fourth baby was born at home a month ago, it was my second home birth. This time my contractions were also about ten minutes apart until about twenty minutes before he was born. I kept thinking I still had a long way to go. He ended up coming with two intense contractions and I didn't push, my body did most of the work. The whole labor was less than two hours. It was crazy! I love hearing these stories, thank you for sharing!
I just LOVE seeing God’s provision in this!!! Not only having Lisa arrive on time, but the fact that your husband had previously been nervous about a home birth and then your first one is by far your easiest birth! Stories like this are so empowering and just another example at how our bodies were made to do this ❤️
I’m due near the end of September with baby number 5. My births are very quick and my midwife barely made it to the last two births. My last birth I had twins and was supposed to come into my midwives birthing center but that didn’t happen. My boys were coming fast. I just had our 5th baby on August 9th, first home birth and also unassisted.😊 My husband caught our baby and stayed so calm and did amazing!❤️ So thankful it all went well for you! Home births are truly amazing!
My sister and i have very quick labor and birth. I have 4. Two births were 3 hours from beginning of labor to end. One was 32 minutes from beginning to end. Obe baby was an emergency c-section. She was frank breech with the cord wrapped around her feet (which were at her ears) and neck. My sister had no labor on baby #3. Thought it was just a bathroom call and delivered him in the toilet. She grabbed him and yelled for her husband. All was well and we laugh about it now. It's in our DNA for quick fast deliveries. My grandmother and mother also had quick labor and deliveries. Congratulations on baby#6. Came here after watching baby #7. Love the name. ❤

It's my theory that mothers are so much more relaxed at home that births go much smoother and quicker and surprise us at the speed they arrive - at least that's been my experience! What an awesome birth! Congratulations! He looks like such a content baby and I love his name. I had my last three unassisted including my very last in the car (I labor very fast and without warning) and loved it. Now I'm a 47 years old (and grandma of 2) and I'm 25 weeks pregnant with number 6 so I enlisted a midwife since it's been 13 years since I've had a baby. I'm hoping my body remembers how all this works. lol

Happy healthy baby and mama. Congratulations! I had a surprise and wonderful early morning home birth with our second son in 1986. Beautiful, powerful birth and so fast. My husband slept through it. We were in for a pre-natal checkup the day before and the doc figured 2 weeks before the birth. Lol! We went for a hospital check up after the 8lbs 6 3/4 oz birth, no stitches YAY and headed back home to our family bed. One of the sweetest things was to wake up a few hours later to see our five-year gazing lovingly at a brand new sibling. I am truly blessed to hold this precious memory. Thank you for sharing!!
I love hearing birth stories too! Congratulations on your little man! We have three girls and I’m 10 weeks pregnant with our 4th. My last birth was only three hours of what I thought was early labor. I kept apologizing to my husband because he really didn’t want to have a baby without a midwife present. He was so calm though. After watching, it’s making me excited to go through labor and have a newborn again.

My biggest baby was Shane and he was also my easiest birth. He was also my easiest to nurse. I had problems nursing with my others. Shane weighed in at 9 pounds 10 ozs. Ahhh my son was born on the 28th as well. I’m a grandmother now & I so much enjoy your family. You are an inspiration to other young mothers. So refreshing to see a fresh wholesome family setting such a positive example of living. Oh my goodness - we are a “Lee” family. Our son has carried on the tradition of “Lee” with his 3 children. They all have that name as a middle name & one has 4 names. Both my husband & I are “Lee”.

My 4th (of 9) is a Jacob too! He was a big one too...9lb 11 1/4oz. My 7th was accidentally unassisted but a planned homebirth. My labor was 45 minutes from the very first contraction to birth, and the midwife lived half an hour away lol. That baby was also born en caul. My 8th was 11 lbs (homebirth). It was good that the midwife was there for that one because he had some shoulder dystocia. Congrats!!
Congratulations! I think some sort of denial is always there, I have 3 and have definitely been slightly in denial when I am in labour. My second I had unassisted in the car on the side of the road at 3am. My husband was a bit panicky, I was too until the very end when I had to get control of the situation. So glad Lisa was there for you. Enjoy the newborn snuggles. X

Curiously, I watched the video of you and Lisa chatting a month or so ago and you were both talking about why you keep having boys. I talked about non-toxic environment being a contributor in the comments. I love his name, though I'm biased. My 5th baby we planned a birth center birth, but ended up with an emergency C-section at the local hospital, which was traumatic and not what we planned for, obviously. Congratulations!! What a beautiful birth story. Reminded me of my own home birth with midwives. A beautiful experience. My 5th baby we planned a birth center birth, but ended up with an emergency C-section at the local hospital, which was traumatic and not what we planned for, obviously. Your story helped me heal a little from that. Thanks for sharing
