Kirk has forever sounded like hes taking an excruciating shit. Nobody has ever sounded as good with this singing technique. So pumped Kirk still takes Crowbar out.

Love this band! The Lasting Dose is my favorite sludge song ever. And its pretty cool how the drummer sets his kit up the old school way with those huge toms at a sharp angle!
Crowbar or rather Kirk in himself is the godfather of sludge. Such a quality band and so glad I saw them for the first time after being into them for nigh on 30 years a few months back in Southampton. This is a great set.
Vinnie Labella from Exhorder is the godfather of the New Orleans heavy groove riffs. I am from NOLA and grew up seeing all these bands evolve. Still some of my favorite music.🤘🏼⚜️
@@Unitedfruitcoyeah brother Exhorder is a hell of a band. Sometimes they bring some riffs and some paces that are so heavy that I simply laugh out loud about how come they came to conceive such heaviness
Goddamn been chunking out riffs since 1990 and just now hearing them??!! This band has reached legendary status years ago. These old timers are still heavy. Listen to “Slave No More” lyrics about Kirk’s sobriety. Shits heavy.
If you want the best of Crowbar, where you will listen to the whole album without skipping songs, listen to "Crowbar", "Time Heals Nothing" and "Broken Glass" albums. For me personally. it's the best of Crowbar. Other albums, some are ok, some not so, I don't know, but I know that I skip many songs on the albums that I didn't mention. I mean, it's understandable that there are fewer ideas, especially when only one person writes songs.
I've been lucky enough to meet kirk several times, once as a teen, once in my 20s and again in my 40s. One of the nicest, laid back people you will ever meet.
Seconded...very humble guy and appreciative of everyone who comes to watch him play. Think I first saw them back in 1994 in the UK (been a fan since I saw them on Beavis and Butthead). His wife, Robin, is a lovely lady too and I take time out to thank her for keeping Kirk going and bringing us this music.
@@Serial667-ht1kq same, first track I heard was 'existence is punishment' on beavis and butthead. I saw them supporting napalm death in 1996 (I think)- still got my ticket stub with Todd strange autograph on it.
@@LichaelMewis I saw Pantera about 8 times when they toured through Jersey and Philly. I still have a guitar pick Dimebag handed to me. One side of the pick has his face, the other side has his signature.
Kirk Windstein. When it comes about maintaining the heaviness and Legacy of Tony Iommi, no one gets closer. But I'll do my best about riffing to get closer to them. It's never too late, am I right? Love this band, love Sabbath, gotta respect Mr Riff Lord.
Dude youre telling me man! Ive known of them since their beginning and am ashamed at how I never got into them in favor of more Death Metal stuff. But as I get older I think they are giving me a second excitement about this. Theyre a truck like Neurosis.

no big stage show, no distractions or BS -- just pure awesome New Orleans sludge metal where the music says it all. love Crowbar \m/
They are so good!:

If it's before noon just make sure it's Coors Light. After that, have Coors Light. 😂❤
I saw these guys back in 92' when they were opening for White Zombie and Pantera. Holy crap they have aged well.
It's only 1-2 original members from then though right?!
Kirk has forever sounded like hes taking an excruciating shit. Nobody has ever sounded as good with this singing technique.

Sludge at its best
I’ve seen Crowbar a few times and they really are a spectacular live bands. Those riffs just rumble right through you.
💯
Drummer is killer💯
Tommy Buckley 🤘🔥💣 Sick drummer! Check him out in Soilent Green !
Tommy is a killer, but I always liked Bower more.
His drumming is... Topographical.
Like there's order and symmetry, but the fills feel natural and out of nowhere. All geographic n shit.
