- Gibraltar: for 2 tier key board stands: 88key (26-33 kg) & 61 key (12-18 kgs)
after seeing Gibraltar videos and pictures of live gigs, I thought I should have one of these. it was very difficult because you don't get to see the rack in person to make the choice to buy it. It looks awesome in real life, and on stage, people will really look at you. The weights mentioned are just because I tried them out. but it can handle heavier keyboards, I think. The tube looks very heavy and the stand is very sturdy. These are the items I used to build this stand. of course, I tried other size options as well. But this suited my standing and sitting posture comfortably.
S.No. Item Piece
1. SCGRSTLA 24inch 2
2. SC-GRMF/ SC-RF 4
3. SCGRSQT 2
4. SCGPR30 1
5. SCGEMC 1pair
6. SCGPR20 2
7. SCGPR30 2
8. SC-GPR40C 1
9. SC-GRSRA 4
this may weigh around 7-9 kg. but its worth it to take it for live performances, just unscrew the ties of the clamps of the ones you just need to clip them on.
Carry them in a bag used for mic stands according to the height of the tube.
I use Gravity BG MS 6 SB- Transport Bag for 6 Short Microphone Stands: www.gravitysta...
and
BG MS 6 B- Transport Bag for 6 Microphone Stands

used very much international travel too. These bags can take a heavy beating and the stands are safe. They look good while stored at home. they can sit on top of each other.

Have you seen any 3 Tier versions of this? These are standard pipes that run vertically. One might be ab,e to find longer side support pipes?

Nice. I love designing and working with the Gibraltar material… though as everybody points out, it can get "pricey". As I watched you assemble your stand I was thinking the whole time you could reduce your setup time by half (maybe more) if you would use the memory locks for all your fittings. The SC-GCML (package of 2) is ~$7 and you'd set them in place 1 time and after that your assembly time would be very quick.
What is the assembly time.. Does each part need to be assembled and disassembled each time you use it?
If you need to transport it you will have to bag it. You can leave the joint clamps on,depending on the size of your bag. I enjoy it because every performance I need different setup according to the items I need on stage
Hello,
Even I like this stand and looking to build one. From
Where I get these parts? And for how much did you buy it for. A quick reply will be appreciated.
Hi, I bought this in UK, it cost around around £400 I think. Which country are you in?
Can you tell me which shop in the UK?
you'll have to order online, gibraltar drum hardware.
@@stanleypriezt thomann has all the parts (not cheap!)
@@danzu25 I agree, try the brand Dixon if you like steel, I use their clamps or Jaspers for aluminium. Mix and match how you need it. But one thing it will look cooler than the X stands and much sturdy.
Is the curved tube necessary?
no,, i use this now to put an extension for a laptop,, curve helps it to bring it closer to me from the side
Where can I get one of those?
hi,, youve got to buy each part seperately, usually they are found under drum parts or in Jaspers stand.
Where can you buy this
thomann or gear 4 music
