Hi! We are Trey and Rosa, we have 5 kiddos and we moved from the big city of Las Vegas to the outskirts to homestead and grow our own food with the goal of self-sufficiency. We converted to eating plant based due to health reasons and we've seen the benefits it has done to our family!

I use Lavash for my sandwiches. Load it up and roll it and cut on the diagonal in half . Wrap in wax paper and voila… I am a pro sandwich maker. Makes a great base for pizza 🍕. Trader Joes has a good lavash…but favorite is ATORIAS LAVASH.

Ooh I just had a lavash wrap today for breakfast during treys surgery! It was actually pretty darn good and inspired me to make some myself it was so darn good! Great idea for a pizza base too!

I've been having tofu sandwiches this week as well. I bought super firm/high protein tofu, sliced it thin, added different seasonings and baked it. It has been great for quick meals this week.
Yum! Great minds think a looks, it really does make easy and quick meals. Try broiling it next time! Its faster!
I’m doing the same this week. We did 1 poultry and 1 sushi seasoned tofu in the air fryer. we can make sandwiches or add to salads.

Yes we believe she may be or just have a passion for cooking or is just competent in the kitchen! Either way we are happy she loves cooking and getting her hands dirty with me 🤗

I often forget about sweet chili sauce. I love it but have never put in on sammies. I’ll have to try that.
You should definitely try it! It adds the sweetness and a bit of spice, our newest favorite “Asian” inspired sandwich

On shopping day it’s roast day. Just fling it in the oven and relax a while !
Great idea! We really need a vegan version of a roast! Seems like meat is so easy to cook and book lunch/dinner is done! But veggies require so much more prep and cutting
@@thehaipath vegan nut roasts are delicious !! I throw whole potatoes with everything else in an oven bag with olive oil and seasoning. I think it’s easy vegan with minimal chopping and then serve with something like fresh hummus and Turkish bread . Eg whole carrots , baby beetroot, shallots , Brussel sprouts etc
We pick something easy to fix on grocery day. A lot of the time it’s pizza, cuz we can throw it in the oven while we unload & pack the groceries away. Now that it’s summer, we do a cold peanut noodle salad or a lettuce salad with crispy lentils or tofu.
Our favorite sandwich is the valley veggie.
That’s a good idea pizza! Maybe we need to make some homemade frozen pizzas 🍕

I like your sandwiches. Mercy is a lovely snacker. I also like lettuce and raw Cabbage with cucumber and large slice tomatoes. On lazy days i made old oat with milk. Not a bread but large dumplin fried with whatever veggies i have😂😋😊❤😎🇯🇲

I hadn’t had a sandwich for ages and made time to make one for work. I slathered vegan garlic mayo, loads of lettuce from the garden , some micro greens and a slice of vegan cheese. Was so good. I definitely fancy a tofu sandwich like yours now! Thank you for sharing 💚🌱

Oh my that sounds so good!! Make me want to marinate the tofu in soy sauce, sesame oil, instead of lettuce use cabbage and marinate that with the chili sauce and add more to the bread! 🤌🏽😊
Yes if you can marinate the tofu overnight or even do the freezing trick it’s so good! Oh good idea with the cabbage!!! I want to try it again maybe make an Asian slaw!

My latest craze is tofu bacon sandwiches....so good!
Do you make tofu bacon yourself? How do you make it? Sounds good!
@@thehaipath yes, if I can get smoked tofu or the siracha tofu I use that but I have used plain tofu too. Thinly slice it and marinate in soy sauce, maple syrup, liquid smoke and any additional spices. Then I airfry it for 10 minutes and flip for a few more minutes. I have that with a veggie tofu scramble on a wrap or a BLT.

Love the sweet chili idea...will try. Ciabatta is my fav. I make roasted red pepper with pesto...since store bought tomatoes are disgusting here!!! I grill my ciabatta on the stove.
Grocery store tomatoes are the saddest little things in the whole store.

I want to learn to make ciabatta myself at home, I know it’s a lot wetter the dough but I really can’t stand a wet dough 😅 pesto is perfect on any sandwiches! 🥪
@@thehaipath What if you were to use your standard dough roll it out a little. Try to keep it a little flat and cut it in rectangles and see if you can do the ciabatta shape with your dough. It’s probably a lot more work than I’m making it sound like!
