I have heard a lot about this unit and always wanted to buy one just to set the gains and make a video about it...like a how-to. When my buddy Zack, my Fastenal guy, said he was thinking of using one for his new Jeep, i knew that this was the time. Not only to try it out and make a video about it, but to GIVE it to him! I love hooking people up if you haven't noticed yet!

This video covers a few things....not just the Audiocontrol LOC, but also how to properly set gains from the front to the back, the beginning of the chain to the end. Don't listen to ANYONE who says you can use a DMM (digital multi meter) because you may as well guess your gain settings if you do. If you don't know where the head-unit distorts or anything else in between that and the amplifier, than nothing else matters. It isn't as much about HOW MUCH power the amp puts out, it is WHEN that matters most. Also, that little thing no DMM fanboy ever talks about. Gain overlaps. Just say no and do it right the first time. Follow my instagram channel for daily live feeds, sometimes on subjects just like this instagram.com/meade916
This is just more proof how Steve is real people! Love his content. Just because he is doing good for him self and his family he does not forget who he is and where he has come from.
Is this a new tool? CC1+?
Maaan I need one!!!
@@jeffreyallen3796 ehhhhhhhhhh what? lol
Do you know how to use the accubass and tune it with the dd1? I used the dd1 to tune mt whole setup with the lc7i to keep my stock head unit. I left my accubass and the threshold at top center. It’s works with me but idk if it really helps and needs to be tuned also.
I live for these Steve meade videos nobody even comes close to the precision this man has
they give you the guitar pick to set the gains with. fits the knobs perfect.
i don’t know about anyone else but the background noise doesn’t bother me one bit, means you’re doing your thing and business is good 💯🤘🏻
💯💯💯 its not even there
Yo, that was the most sick way to wrap tape on a wire.
My mind's blown
So glad you took your time to show us all how to properly tune a system. You just solved my problem I was having trying to stay factory deck in my 13' Volkswagen gli. Thanks for your support and dedication to the audio community.
Steve you have lost some MAJOR weight bro looking good bro
I watched at least 5 videos on this product before I found yours, and learned a lot more from your video. Thanks Steve!
No matter how busy Steve gets, he always takes the time to look out for other people. Respect, bro.
nice clean shop.nice clean sound on that system with your.unsefishness your humbleness and your kindness.you make me teary eyed.. respect everytime sir.make someone happy and you will be happy too. you da man MR MEADE
You’re a good dude homie, I suppose that’s one of three reasons you’re successful but it’s awesome to see good things happen to good people.
Thanks for showing people how to set gains properly!
I bet you made his day. Nice to see people giving back
ONCE AGAIN i am really sorry about the background noise. I try to avoid it when i can but the orders are coming in like CRAZY!! thanks for your understanding and thanks for supporting the ORIGINAL not the wannabe imitators out there. :)
Your a good dude, your always lookin out for the ones that help you, thats why your blessed.
I love the sound in the background it lets me know you’re making money while you play and work so it’s great
Just bought one of these for my buddies truck . I can’t wait to put it in audiocontrol is so legit
My favorite part of this video is that you're giving to your friend.
Hey dude I’m 54 years young and like your amp vids and crafting your works of art ✊🏾
Before this video ends is yours you have a good heart Steve keep up the good work
I was impressed when you used the drill to twist the wires together. Then when you added tape, I had to watch that again! Nice tip :) All the best for New Years.
Man I love the playlist in the background of the video. And the buzzing dont matter to me sounds like dollar signs as long as you hear those machines running.
Love this man's work. Always posting the goods
Heart of Gold! and a prestige installer hands down!
A Steve I love Audiocontrol line drivers bro. They really give you more power to your system most definitely bro. Like you said if it's tuned right you'll be so happy.
Man, you're too good. Nothing but respect for you.
This video covers alot of "things". Another great video Mr Meade. I love how you go through everything that needs to be addressed in order from start to finish. Never stop.
Steve forgot to give that guy the pick that came with the LC7i 😂😂
Once again, paying it forward and showing love to those who have helped you get to where you are today. Much respect on your success and work ethic.
P.S.im still rocking the first key chain/rear view mirror dangler that’s lazer etched on acrylic “SMD” that you signed and gave away on Instagram. It’s my way of supporting SMD until I can convince the wifey to let me buy more car audio gear. Anyways, love your content. ✌️
22:45 when the bass hits, look at the smile that immediately forms on his face =) that is a man that is going to be super happy in a few minutes lol
Congrats on the weight loss lookin a lot healthier than when I first started watching a couple years ago good job brotha
I may be late, but I just noticed in this video, you're now working with Fastenal for shipping and purchase of your products. Congrats man!!! I use them for a lot of my supplies and site PPE. Now I can get a reflective vest and some SMD products. Awesome!!!
Damn he's fine slimmed up a little. Right there with you Steve, keep up whatever you got going.. that shit is working bro..
You the MAN! Point blank period. Love these videos. Keep em comin Sir.
I actually use your videos to train my guys on property tuning techniques using SMD products. Can't wait for my AMM1 TO SHOW UP
Appreciate the info! You also highlight the importance of proper set-up! Used to do installs in the 90's and so many fools would come back saying it sounded like shit just to realize that after they left, they jacked all the gains "for more bass🤯"
the best part about the new DD-1+ is that you can actually see what the gains were when they left and you can re-probe them when they come back bitching. See where i put the highs at 3.5 and the bass at 7? That foo' comes back with his highs at 13 and his bass at 18 you know he has been messing with the dials...or his "cousin" was. LOL
Awesome stuff man. Way to show the love!
That was awesome hooking Zack up. And watching you have fun. I lile seeing that.
In three of my cars I have Audiocontrol Three.1 EQ/XOVER.In one of my cars I have the Three.1 combined with an LC8i....clean, clear sound.I set it and never have to touch it, I just mess with the Three.1.Audiocontrol for life!!!
Been a while since we've got to see the process of how you set your gain for your amps. It's nice to see how you do your process when you go through somebody system😉
Very informative video, my SMD DD-1 HV is still working great after many years of use 😊
Sweet! I got an LC6i and love it. It has been installed in 2 cars and now it will be installed in a 2019 Ford Flex SEL to have a system in the car till i get my JL Audio FIX86 and VX1000/5I and VX800/8I 😁👊
I picked up an LC7i a few months back and it is awesome! I forgot about the jumpers though.
Meade is the man of Car Audio , I watched and Invest my Audio control with the best ... Steve you are a enthusiast I watched your videos since you first started the channel , Great job ...
thanks Chris brotha!!!
i like how dude started smiling when the suds started hitting !
Not all heroes wear capes! Helpful video
I was going to use an LC2i when I integrated the factory head unit on my F150.
Talking with Audio Control, they told me that since I was using a EQX as well that the only thing that I would gain was Accubass. So I went with their recommendation to use the EQX high input and save the money.
I thought that spoke volumes for Audio Control, that they would talk you out of buying more of their equipment. As a long time AC products user, there wasn't any question about my loyalty in them, but they cemented it with that.
I have one in my car, it is the best upgrade I've done.👍 running 3 amps
Hell yeah Steve!!! You are a damn good man. Keep up the great work.
Definitely on my wish list thanks Steve for the pro tips
i have been considering to buy these for over a month but having mixed feelings about the quality of it.
It looks great and really a very good product
Thanks for making this video
So from what I gathered from the video. Your guy got that for being decent. More importantly though. All the questions and a majority of the tech talk was covered in this video. The issue seems to arise with people not listening or paying close enough attention. Over lap. Signal voltage. Gains on the amps lc7i and the deck. How to set it in peoper order and the remote signal thing on the 7 when using factory. I don't see the confusion or any technicalities that haven't been addressed in the video. Dd1+ got it going. Idk? Maybe they believe their cousin. I found this video very informative and kind of want to grab a few of your tools. Signs of a good knowledgeable salesman.
Awesome video with lots of useful information, these are the videos I love seeing
👌 clean bass, basshead here😉😲 always making people happy bro god bless u
Awesome video like always. Also,Steve your looking good! Definitely can tell the weight loss! Keep up the work on both ends!
I have an LC2i in my Mercedes S class running from the stock H/K sub wires to the LC2i and in to my Rockford amp. It sounds incredible and it definitely the best LOC I’ve ever used. So much better than those cheap non powered units. My Memphis M5 12’s sound so much more detailed and crisp on the LC2i. Highly recommend AudioControl for a novice like myself.
great smile when the subs start slammin hohoho
gs820 bt. EXCELLENT CHOICE! I just installed the xb120bt which also has a class D amp built in (45w rms x 4 @4ohms) . I love the 5v RCA outputs! Its weird I every year I look down at your test bench and I have a similar radio(pioneer, sony)
Used this on my 2016 Camaro happy with the results
Machine noise = the sound of making money.
I have an audiocontrol 1200 amp, lc2, and a eql equalizer bumping a sundown SA12 and JBL mids and tweets on my dodge charger. Love that shit. Got some wiring advice from the man himself.
What's up meade, no need to apologize about the machines running. We know when they are running their is money being made
You a Good Brother Meade
Great vid.... Worth waiting til the end
Great video @meade916,lots of great info. Then to top it off you give the unit away to one of your suppliers. I've said it before, you are a good dude.👍🏾
Nice boxes. love the port setup.
if you just use the GTO signal sensing from the speakers line in ,you do not need remote in,only out , i have the exact one sounds amazing, i did not want to buy an amplifier for my alpine iLX-W650 /KTA 650,so i used this LC7i to send the signal to the amps thru my aftermarket Head unit, and it still sounds amazing.
Crazy that enclosure was moving even while you where on top.
Its amazing your still doing what u do I still like ur video of the lady's eye falling out
Excellent video. I need to get one of those meters to adjust my decks and amps
Keep up the good work one day i hope can get a demo of your tahoe
That’s was nice of u bro That’s epic center I have one on my 2T0 it slam lol
I enjoy leraning about this I have my systems. And I enjoy all your vides.
That wire spinner is dope. Simple but very effective.
That video quality is really nice
Bro mine went out this morning I had a hifonics one not the audio control brand dang it's clean and we'll made love your vids brother
Great video. Its crazy how many systems I've been in that have stinky coils. Got all that high end equipment but no funds for a distortion detector.
Thanks for the video. Been looking into buying one of these soon.
Damn I fell asleep wow I was waiting on this video congrats to the winner another beautiful video Steve and a beautiful prize too and amazing how you do your wiring thanks for a new lesson everyday I learn something new....
Awesome video gonna start looking into ordering one now
I have one of these! Audiocontrol FTW! 🔥🔥🔥👌🏼
Weight loss looking good on you bro!!
I just got to the part with the wire spinner and electrical tape......FUCKING GENIUS MAN!!!
I used to set gains with a scope - when the square wave falls off, it marks the starting of clipping/distortion. I like that SMD meter though!
That tape job on the drill was damn professional
Hey steve got to say like way u explain about audio ,hou make it look easy but sound sweet 👌
Yea audio control has some really good stuff I have a lc8i my self. I even had the digital EQ they had but people said it's to much to tune.
Still bumping Youngbloodz in 2019. Nice.
Thanks Meade that’s a very good video
The way he braided and taped up his wire in the beginning shows the experience. Been following my guy over the past 12-13 years. He’s a real guru
Yea man, that trick with the drill was genius!
I have the Audio Control LC7i it's a great unit.
Steve looks like he is losing some weight! Cool products. Always enjoy your videos

Proud owner of an LC2i and a LC6i. These guys make some quality shit for sure. Buddy of mine has one of their amps and it's quite nice too.
