@SeaFishingWithPaul use a 3/0 pennel rig with 2/0 circle hook as top hook. Put worm on then strap the crab cart to the side of it with baiting elastic, lots of it. Prepare your bait at home then take them to beach in a food flask so the cart dosent thaw out. Tight lines. Av a look on u tube Solo Fishing Cod Head.good luck!!!!!

Am managing to crack a wee bit of distance now but more the reel technology rather than skill but can’t complain. A first for me with the haddock and they tasted great. Am sure will meet some new fishing buddies and look forward to getting out again. Today the sea is raging with a howling wind. Summer species are smooth hounds and Bass but I suspect will be a few other species as well but not many plaice. @@Auqalungangler The south when I fished it was really patchy and has certainly got worse over the last few years and no doubt many factors. The water is warmer and a few trigger fish being caught which are Mediterranean species and all the codling have trundled North to colder waters. I moved to be next to a beach and could not afford to do that down south also know this area as spent time here in my twenties. Glad I made the leap and am settling in just want to catch a big cod 😂🤞take care and if you move up this way let me know and we could have a fish together take care 😃🍺🐠👍🐟

Am hoping for a codling or two as the are catching a few round the Humber estuary and they then move up my neck of the woods 🤞

@SeaFishingWithPaul use a 3/0 pennel rig with 2/0 circle hook as top hook. Put worm on then strap the crab cart to the side of it with baiting elastic, lots of it. Prepare your bait at home then take them to beach in a food flask so the cart dosent thaw out. Tight lines. Av a look on u tube Solo Fishing Cod Head.good luck!!!!!

Am managing to crack a wee bit of distance now but more the reel technology rather than skill but can’t complain. A first for me with the haddock and they tasted great.

Summer species are smooth hounds and Bass but I suspect will be a few other species as well but not many plaice.

@@Auqalungangler The south when I fished it was really patchy and has certainly got worse over the last few years and no doubt many factors. The water is warmer and a few trigger fish being caught which are Mediterranean species and all the codling have trundled North to colder waters.
I moved to be next to a beach and could not afford to do that down south also know this area as spent time here in my twenties. Glad I made the leap and am settling in just want to catch a big cod 😂🤞take care and if you move up this way let me know and we could have a fish together take care 😃🍺🐠👍🐟
