You are a dedicated fisherman, respect bro. And to the people who disagree with fisherman whether it be river canal loch or sea , FISHERMAN are the gatekeeper of the waters, reporting pollution and stopping illegal fishing , these people have a love of nature 💕 most people don't understand.

Hi John another cracking video from you I've been sea fishing for 25 years or more from the boat and shore and I still learn something new after watching your presentations I also like the way you show that fishing can be done with the minimum amount of pain and suffering to the fish by the way you utilise a tub filled with water along with the way you use your disgorger to remove the hook without causing injury to the fish whether you are returning it to the sea or even if you intend taking it home to eat I wish more fisherman would adopt this method. Also with your knowledge and passion of fishing I think you should have your own fishing channel on tv im sure that you would generate a lot of interest in fishing you have probably forgotten more about fishing than most of the so called experts keep up the exelent work. Thanks Les.

Awesome explanations again as usual. I can’t believe you’ve not been picked up to do a seasonal tv series! Years ago we had Gone fishing, and Mat Hayes ect. Now I believe it’s time for The fish locker to get more exposure as I believe you have more to give and would present your vast knowledge to a wider audience.
Keep up the good work, always a pleasure to watch. 👍

I live in the Western US, so my fishing is all inland high mountain streams and lakes for trout and salmon usually on a fly, so it is fascinating watching such a completely different style of fishing, and exotic species (at least exotic to me)...plus I am originally from the UK, so it brings me warm and fuzzy "back home" tingles. :)

flounder is bristly plaice is smooth.. great fishing love the channel!.... just saw you said similar...sorry, interesting the mirror image never noticed before... fishing is great!!

The thing i liked most in this video John, is the respect towards your catch. When you don't take it home for the pot, one should treat the catch in the proper way and that is de way how you handle the fish. I have seen it in numerous times in your video's, but especialy in this video it showes the care you have for what you are doing towards the fish. A deep bow and hat of for that John. You are an example for many fisherman and i know why.👍👍👍. Greetz from Stipo from Holland

Flounder in Lewes , DE, in the 60's. We used a 3 hook stack for sea trout. You waited for at least 2 fish on, but I got good at picking up the 3rd as well. Dad and I caught 125 in a day out when we came back for a visit from Ohio. . Filled the freezer and and sea trout every week. Saved on the grocery bill. Loved the effort. Thanks for taking us along.

Flounder fishing isn’t what it was 10 years ago mate. You used to be sure of at least half a dozen prime fish per session. 2-3lbers were common. Seals have ruined lots of areas.

A great demonstration of how to handle, and get hook out of a flat fish. Good work. I think a lot of fish have gone off shore the last couple of weeks.

As ever John your observations about the tides, location and weather features etc tell a complete story and obviously come from someone who knows what he is talking about...from experience. We live and learn and if we fail to do this and retain and use this essential info, we fail in our endeavours. You seem to have the knack of being able to piece together all the parts of the jigsaw and that's most of the reason you managed to pull in those two bumper flounder at the beginning of this vid. Nice one John, keep up the good work.
