Fun fact - When John Cho calls Stiffler's mom a "MILF", it was the first time it was mentioned in mainstream media... It made the term viral and now its basically a part of the English language... lol..!

Until I just had to ask whether maybe he thought anyone else on the bus might have seen American Pie too.
I sometimes wonder if the surge of overly sexual movies that came out after American Pie was caused by the film or if it was just a cultural thing at the time. I’m thinking of movies like Scooby Doo live action (A kids movie that was way sexual 😂), how the grinch stole Christmas (the grinch literally lands in some girls boobs), old school, road trip, dodgeball, White Castle, Van Wilder, etc.. because looking at the 90’s and their PG-13+ movies, they weren’t nearly as bad lol. Not to mention all the teen and college movies that came out not longer after.
Eugene Levy is the wholesome glue 😉 that holds the series together. He appears in a lot (maybe all?) of the spin-off movies (which are extremely hit or miss) and always has some awkward insight to offer. He really is a great supportive parent.

Back in the day when they were making actual great movies. No DEI or political correctness. Just pure fun. Awesome reaction. Make sure you check out the second one as well. Just as amazing as the first one.
For an 80's high school movie you should watch "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". It has a great A and B list cast when they were younger, including Sean Penn, Judge Reinhold and Jennifer Jason Leigh. It's also Nicolas Cage's first movie role. It's a small role and it was before he changed his name from Nicolas Coppola to Cage. His uncle was Francis Ford Coppola a legendary director and screenwriter.
This is the ONLY movie series that went 4 for 4. Every single one of the movies in the series is a banger. Especially “American pie reunion”. Man….. what I would do for a friend like the stiffmeister.
To keep it real, even the some of the spin-offs were pretty solid, especially Band Camp where Stifler's little brother struggles to find his own identity that was outside of the whole "Stifmeister" mold that runs in the family.
I've noticed there's two versions of this movie, or at least of the pie scene... one he is laying on the counter with it like you see, the other he is standing in the corner with it.
One bit that is very easy to miss is just before we have Jim and Michelle speaking whilst sitting on the settee at the post-prom party. In the background you see Stifler with a drink in his hand and it is very easy to miss the fact that you see him double-check his drink after the sperm-tainted beer incident earlier in the film. (I only noticed this after it was mentioned on one of the audio commentaries on the early DVD release.)
This is very accurate, guys talk about sex all the time. Especially in high school, it was the ultimate goal. This movie is for high school guys what Mean Girls is for teenage girls.
This was like the first American movie I've watched when I was 10 or 12 years old and it still is how I envision American culture today. Absolute classic.
I never realized that Casey Affleck 's the one who introduced the legendary Bible! Btw Ryan Reynolds' van wilder movie is pretty much the college equivalent to this series
Hopefully you watch all 4 of the main ones, all of them are surprisingly solid and really genuinely heartfelt, and each one covers a different milestone in a point in their lives.
@@Sgaragarru Yes, I'm an idiot, there are four of them. (Had to look in my collection XD ). But those were the movies, I grew up with them and the last one (Reunion) was perfectly timed. Never really liked the spin-offs though.
@@Sgaragarru Yeah Band Camp was a decent spin-off. The actor playing Matt Stifler does such a good job portraying someone that could be Sean William Scotts little brother. Only other ones I saw were Naked Mile and The Book of Love, I don't remember too much other than not caring for them.
I had a blast watching your full-length reaction to American Pie. It was my first time ever seeing a complete reaction from a UA-camr. Such a fun experience! Joining your Patreon was definitely a good move.
So remember in the beginning when you said "This has to be his worst day of his life." Well, I'm willing to bet that Jim finishing extremely quickly with Nadia was even worse.
"Lily!" We call her *Willow* in my age bracket. :) The second "American Pie" is even funnier, and "American Wedding" is pretty good (never saw "American Reunion"), but what you really need to see is a movie from 2001 named "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back," in which Jason Biggs does indeed address what it's like--- to be famous for humping a pie.
Saw the first 4 American Pie movies at the cinema. The atmosphere during the sequels was so fun because we all knew what to expect and weren't disappointed. I've not been to any movies since where the audience laughed so loud.
8:43 Yes. 26:29 Yes. Basically in these movies when you think of something really awkward and impossibly stupid, the answer is always a resounding Yes.
The infamous pie bit was actually cut from any uk version I saw back when it came out, so I never really understood why it was called American Pie and the hole in the pie on the posters never made sense to me until years later
Another great reaction, thank you. Eugene Levy played the dad, and I'm fairly certain he had a blast making every bit of dialog, every scene as uncomfortable as he could. He's a comic actor from Canada and is really funny. Look up "Second City Television" and you'll see him and a great many familiar faces. It was a Canadian version of SNL and was often funnier.
Is it sad that this is what I'm doing on a Friday night? Yes. Is this reaction going to be worth it? Absolutely. I love V's laugh and smile so this is definitely going to be great.
Jim's dad is the one we all find embarrassing at the time but when we're older, we all wish we had that kind of dad. Mr Levinstein is the best character in the entire franchise
I remember this movie for ONE thing. I am italian and in '99 I was 11 years old and I went to watch this movie at the cinema in my town, by Benevento. I remind very well MOST of the people standing up and leaving the cinema and complaining because they were disgusted. Around the end of the first half of the movie, right before the break, the cinema was half empty; people continued to leave even during the 2nd part, until just a bunch of us were left. I was shocked by that, not by the movie but by so many people living abruptly, i had never seen something like that before (neither i would see something like that after). Few chairs by me there was three guys enjoying the movie & then I found out they were all my oldest brother's friends because they told him I was there watching american pie and my brother literally beated the crap out of me.
No… It… Is… Not! I honestly don’t know why “underrated” has become the most overused word in the world but can we all please SHUT UP with mindlessly calling everything underrated!
American Pie pretty much resurrected the raunch Teen/high school/collage comedies that was popular in the 80's. back in the 80's there were raunchy movies like Porky's, Revenge of The Nerds and so on.
@@nsasupporter7557 both animal house and Porky's change the game in terms of raunchy comedy in the high school and collage teens sex comedy genre. sadly the genre got saturated due to a a crap load on DTV moies. these kinds are movie are often called T&A comedies as well. alot of it did get dumbed down to score of PG-13 rating in the late 80's. the resurgent died faster due to many bad American Pie copycats were cropping along with horrible Scarry Movies spinoff parodies movies like Epic Movie, Date Movie and etc that destroyed the teen sex comedy back to the grave. the only decent movies that sort of followed the formula back in the 2000's was Eurotrip, Tomcot and Road Trip.

Other A-listers are Emmy winners Jennifer Coolidge (Stiffler's mom/White Lotus) and Eugene Levy as Jim's dad (Schitt's Creek). Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the New Black, Russian Doll, etc.) is an A minus lister (Jessica). Alyson Hannigan (Lily from How I Met Your Mother/Michelle/"This One Time ...at Band Camp" is a B-Plus lister. You know what’s funny? In the version of this I saw when I was younger, the scene where Jim’s dad walks in on him with the pie - Jim is standing up with the pie held to him. Whereas I just saw in this version he’s like mounted it missionary style on the kitchen island…. So they filmed that scene at least twice, two different positions of him giving it to an apple pie.
I graduated in 2000. I saw this film in theaters. I took my then girlfriend to see it. Kinda awkward. She asked "is that really how teenage boys are". I just asked "are you hungry? I'm hungry".
It does make me sad that she didn't think of Willow Rosenberg first though. Has she not been exposed to Buffy the Vampire Slayer yet? If so that needs to be remedied.

As a former teenage boy from the 90s, I can confirm that the mindset of these boys is pretty accurate.
American pie, American pie 2, American pie the wedding, American pie reunion, and American pie: band camp, are the best of the franchise, all the rest have nothing to do with the characters in the first movie
No, Band Camp isn’t apart of the franchise. It’s a spin off, and no it sucked.
V, the band practicing then watching Nadia's livestream is blink-182! Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker. (Even their song Mutt is playing when Jim is running to see the stream.) And fun fact, Tom DeLonge makes a brief cameo as a Burger Jungle employee in Idle Hands!
Alright Vicky, now that you've watched this one, you NEED to keep going in the series! They're all loaded with the same hilarious awkward situations as this one and they're just as much fun. Pie 2, Wedding, and Reunion are ALL must see sequels! Everything else under the American Pie name is just a dumb spinoff though so you can ignore those.
Absolutely. 2, wedding, & reunion are good shit
Jim's Dad is so nice to his son because he remembers what it was like to be a teenage boy in Highschool.
To me this is the movie that solidified Eugene Levy as one of THE actors to play a dad. Dude even played a dad in Finding Dory!
Yes, it's great so I'm baffled that it rarely ranks highly in lists of teen films.
The band that's in the background when Jim is on Camera is Blink- 182 at 17:00
the dad is the best part of the series
This is the ONLY movie series that went 4 for 4. Every single one of the movies in the series is a banger. Especially “American pie reunion”. Man….. what I would do for a friend like the stiffmeister.
To keep it real, even the some of the spin-offs were pretty solid, especially Band Camp where Stifler's little brother struggles to find his own identity that was outside of the whole "Stifmeister" mold that runs in the family.
How about toy story
I've noticed there's two versions of this movie, or at least of the pie scene... one he is laying on the counter with it like you see, the other he is standing in the corner with it.
The version we got in Australia & New Zealand was when he's standing in the corner with the pie
WHY DID THEY EVEN DO THAT!??? BLUDY MANDELA EFFECTING THE WHOLE SHYIT OUT OF THINGS EVEN MORE AS IF THINGS AREN'T SCREWED UP ENOUGH! 😑😒
Alyson Hannigan was the actress who played Michelle from Band Camp. 😂
'This must be the worst day of his life!'
YET lol
Jim's dad is the best dad ever hahaha
This is very accurate, guys talk about sex all the time. Especially in high school, it was the ultimate goal. This movie is for high school guys what Mean Girls is for teenage girls.
This was like the first American movie I've watched when I was 10 or 12 years old and it still is how I envision American culture today. Absolute classic.
I don't know how accurate it is for today's youth, but when I was in high school in the 90s, it wasn't a movie. It was a documentary.
I never realized that Casey Affleck 's the one who introduced the legendary Bible!
Btw Ryan Reynolds' van wilder movie is pretty much the college equivalent to this series
Yeah, I never realized that either… it blew my mind when I learned that.
And yes, Van Wilder was a great movie 🙂
Hopefully you watch all 4 of the main ones, all of them are surprisingly solid and really genuinely heartfelt, and each one covers a different milestone in a point in their lives.
7:30 Fun Fact. The term MILF actually originated from this movie!. LOL.
They've made SO MANY sequels and spin-offs to this that you're barely gonna keep up.
But there's only ONE trilogy. Honestly, I ignore every other movie, they're not that good.
@@romsch2430 the main line is 4 movies not 3 tho.
And American Pie present : Band Camp is almost on par of the main line
It's been about 3 years since I last watched your channel and wow your confidence on camera has grown so much ^.^ Awesome to see!
"Lily!" We call her *Willow* in my age bracket. :)
The second "American Pie" is even funnier, and "American Wedding" is pretty good (never saw "American Reunion"), but what you really need to see is a movie from 2001 named "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back," in which Jason Biggs does indeed address what it's like--- to be famous for humping a pie.
Wedding was the weakest one, Reunion was way better
"Is this how teenage boys are?" - Pretty close, yea... Unfortunately... 🤣 You should watch the second one, it's even better. 😁
American Pie 2 is even better in my opinion! Way funnier!
Saw the first 4 American Pie movies at the cinema. The atmosphere during the sequels was so fun because we all knew what to expect and weren't disappointed. I've not been to any movies since where the audience laughed so loud.
Jim’s dad will forever be the goat of this series
8:43 Yes.
26:29 Yes.
Basically in these movies when you think of something really awkward and impossibly stupid, the answer is always a resounding Yes.
I'm glad you liked it. I saw this in the theater, and everyone was having a great time.
The infamous pie bit was actually cut from any uk version I saw back when it came out, so I never really understood why it was called American Pie and the hole in the pie on the posters never made sense to me until years later
You and Natalie Gold MUST watch another comedy like this together!!
American pie had the best playlist, all of them.
Schitt's Creek is a must see
@@DavidBrown-ly6lp 100% agree, both him and Catherine O'Hara
Having produced all the PIE movies, I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. I hope you watch the rest!
You’re right, he should have taken the pie into his bedroom 😂
This is truly an underrated series of films!
Yes, American Pie is pretty much the king of teen sex comedies since Porky’s… there hasn’t been any other teen sex movies that come close since
@@nsasupporter7557 both animal house and Porky's change the game in terms of raunchy comedy in the high school and collage teens sex comedy genre. sadly the genre got saturated due to a a crap load on DTV moies. these kinds are movie are often called T&A comedies as well. alot of it did get dumbed down to score of PG-13 rating in the late 80's. the resurgent died faster due to many bad American Pie copycats were cropping along with horrible Scarry Movies spinoff parodies movies like Epic Movie, Date Movie and etc that destroyed the teen sex comedy back to the grave.
the only decent movies that sort of followed the formula back in the 2000's was Eurotrip, Tomcot and Road Trip.
@@nsasupporter7557true you had superman a decade later- americzn pie ruled because every character parents included where a representation of the time- plus the dumpsterfire aspect was real life
@@petewillson205 I know that Superbad was pretty popular, but would you even count that as a sex comedy movie? I would because it has that type of humor
@nsasupporter7557 l mean it was basically the same movie-lets get beer to movie and get girls-american pie was just the 1st r rated comedy in the sex comedy genre to make huge money in a decade- where as Superbad was a r rated comedy that came out after several r rated comedy hits in a row.
15:30
2 Fun Facts for the Price of none: 1, her husband was on set for that (we'll see him in AP2).
2, the day this was shot and he had to do all that running. Jason Biggs was sick+ it was 105 degrees that day+ he took to much zinc and basically got zinc poisoning+ by the end he was dehydrated and carted off in an ambulance
American Pie, brings back memories! I haven’t seen this movie in a long time. Thanks for uploading it
To answer your question about teenage boys having a thing for mature women, I can absolutely, positively tell you yes, that's most definitely a thing.
I was the same age as the characters and saw this in the theaters as a 17 year old and it was definitely the defining sex comedy of my generation. It was definitely a time and a vibe. Looking back and there’s things like filming a girl changing clothes without her consent is actually criminal but if you don’t take it too seriously it’s so funny and actually really good movie about growing up.
"She actually keeps looking at him, maybe shes drunk" LOL
Loved your reaction. So glad you loved your high school years. So many tried to forget high school!
Definitely check out the next 3 movies. 😂😂❤❤
Yeah my high school time was awful. I left early and went to college, much better!
Incredible reaction by you- the biggest A-lister reactor of them all! :) The biggest A-lister actor in American Pie is Academy Award winner Casey Affleck (Ben Affleck's brother), who plays Tom Myers (Kevin Myers' brother). Tara Reid, Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari, and Shannon Elizabeth (Vicky, Jim, Oz, Heather, and Nadia) are solid B-listers, with Mena's most prominent role as the Academy Award-winning "American Beauty." Seann William Scott (as you said did many other teen movies but died out as time went on--so he's a B-minus lister. The rest faded away.
This one time ..at band camp xDDD 🤣glad to see more channels reacting to this masterpiece , anyway .. i hope that you will react to whole franchise , most people did only main story line (1 , 2 , 3 - Wedding and 4 - Reunion ) , but those spinoffs you mentioned are also pretty damn good :) some people hates them, but you know , make your own opinion .
Btw girl , are you a nun or what ? :D cmon .. 8:45 .. you have to think like a man ..or more specific - teenage boy . We are all the same :)))) , but girls too , dont get fooled . Whenever I read a girl related topics on discussion forums , I roll my eyeballs .. like that 👀🤣
12:27 - Finally someone with correct version of the movie .. you know , there is also a ,,censored'' one with different apple-pie scene .
I just so happen to love both the Don Mclean 1971 classic rock song by the same name and the first four American Pie movies! I still can’t believe they casted Thomas Ian Nicholas in most of these movies since he did Rookie Of The Year and that Disney movie A Kid In King Arthur’s Court.
V being surprised at how horny teenage boys are was hilarious. Raging hormones, what can you say lol.
Hope you watch the rest of the movies, V! There are spin-offs which are alright, but they're just not the same, you know.
How can she have forgotten that quickly?!
You will love "Porkys" . Its right in your wheelhouse.
Be sure to watch parts 2 & 3--you'll see most of the cast from this one, but a little bit older. If you enjoyed this one, you'll like the others. Have a nice day. I also enjoyed it, but I graduated in '89, ten years before--was interesting to compare, even if the 80's were wilder than that.
I'm so happy you watched American Pie! I grew up on these movies!
"Is this how teenage boys are?"....Yup
Definitely need to finish the rest of the American pie movies at least of the original run AP2, American wedding and reunion
This is a great movie series you've got to watch all of them especially the original 4 the spin offs are fantastic as well but the cast are mostly different with cameos from the original groups but they are all fantastic and have hilariously awesome stories.
The next three movies in the series American pie 2, American wedding, and American Reunion follow the same characters through life. All of them are strong watches.
I have never seen "9 seconds ago" on an upload time before, just had to comment that XD.
Glad my channel was the first you experienced that with 😏
You know what’s funny? In the version of this I saw when I was younger, the scene where Jim’s dad walks in on him with the pie - Jim is standing up with the pie held to him. Whereas I just saw in this version he’s like mounted it missionary style on the kitchen island….
So they filmed that scene at least twice, two different positions of him giving it to an apple pie.
I had just started high school in 1999.
I graduated in 2000. I saw this film in theaters. I took my then girlfriend to see it. Kinda awkward. She asked "is that really how teenage boys are". I just asked "are you hungry? I'm hungry".
Love it or hate it, this movie is definitely one of the top comedies of the 90s
The fact V knows about how I met your mother makes me love her even more 💐💙 Literally one of my favorite shows
It does make me sad that she didn't think of Willow Rosenberg first though. Has she not been exposed to Buffy the Vampire Slayer yet? If so that needs to be remedied.
Yet she never reacts to sitcoms on here.
When I look back on my years as a teenage boy, long ago, I still remember the realization that every teenage boy must have.
It's okay to just leave the pies alone.
YESSS!!! :D Please react to at least American Pie 1,2, American Wedding and Reunion 🥰🥰🥰
