@Planet Earth colonialism ended in 1997 for the British. India and Pakistan 1947. Take your point though, had to tell how old these machines are could be 1940 's 50' hard to tell.
@@sumitrana4875 these engines were made in Britain by British inventors and manufactures they had nothing to do with colonialism except for the fact that they were exported to the empire.
It's a testament to " old fashioned " technology , that this poor old neglected and abused engine is still operating ! I doubt that many modern engines would survive in the same conditions .
Hmm... not sure on that one. There have been terrible engines throughout all eras -- the engines used in cars between the 1920s and 1960s wouldn't reach anywhere near the types of milages cars do today without several rebuilds. That said, modern engines of this century are in my opinion inferior to the reliable workhorses produced throughout the '90s. It's not as clear-cut as 'new vs. old'.
Love that these old engines are still going!. When you look at modern alternatives with their digital components, how many of them will be still functional after 80 plus yrs of service. Good on them and I bet there is a local chap who can repair or make parts for it if it breaks down! (If ever) 🤣
ah crap i accidentally racismed. Description says Pakistan. Still, I'm going to give people the benefit of the doubt -- rural doesn't mean dumb. And, an engine with electronic sensors and an ECU doesn't mean "cloud enabled subscription service". There's a huge gulf between those. They obviously have enough technology to get high-quality 1080p video onto the internet!
When I was a kid i used to go to my friends orchard in northern Mex and saw several of those machines. Their explosions can be heard at least half mile

Machines like this made in Britain revolutionised the whole planet.
When Britain actually made stuff
And the same Britain who made these machines by looting the many countries
@@sumitrana4875 I don't think the machines are actually that old, the colonial past was long before these machines.

I am from Bangladesh and I love Pakistan
What a sweet running pile of iron ! The days when it was thought to be alive are long gone. It will be a great machine as long as it exists.

Sure, except a modern engine with digital control puts out 10 times the power with 1/10th the fuel consumption, and can be carried in your arms.

40 ~50 Year old technology but nice to see working even today
id say thats from the beginning of the 1900's or even older
I think that engine was running several decades before the British were kicked out in 1947.
That thing is a century old if it's a day. My guess would be it was made around 1915 or so
