I don't think enough Americans appreciate the vast economies of food petroleum-based farming can produce. This tiling project and the ones you have done like it literally put thousands more bushels of crops into the food chain to feed the world. Thanks for sharing this insight into farming, and thanks for being part of the team to help feed the masses!
No country is better at doling out farm subsidies so giant agribusinesses can grow corn to make ethanol that ruins internal combustion engines.
The aerial shots were a great help to see how much you have accomplished. WOW!
Excellent video, good use of time laps and then closeups. Great work by both of you. Cheers! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That was some good flying and footage.
You need a Dirt Perfect sticker on the roof of the dozer for the drone shots.
he needs to repair the paint first so the rust doesn't blow a hole through the cab roof first.
@@dljones61 I suggest that you reply to the comment that has raised your ire, because I don't understand it if it is directed at me.
@@disabledglobalchallenge290that roof panel could be paintless for 20yrs and never rust through if its as thick as the one my uncle has on his old mil spec dozer like that, its at least 1/4” thick….at least
I love how fast the plow is plowing today. Have a great day both you and shorty.
High tech laser grading device to maintain grade.low tech directional device to maintain direction attached to exhaust stack,"AKA a spoon!!
The drone footage really shows what you guys have done to remove the water. cool video Mike.
Mike and Aaron great series of videos, a lot of tile installed! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Another successful day of tile plowing and the drone coverage and actual coverage by you mike showing the water running out of the tiles after a major rain
Glad to see you have the critter guards on all the open end pipes! Neat video, lots of work.
If only every field was this easy when you were ploughing tile, no pesky rocks or boulders. The only way that field is going to get wet is if that stream overflows, some lovely work Mike. 👍
Good morning to you all
Great job! You two have become experts in the field tile business!
Great job, D.P. and AARON! Thanks for sharing! 😊
I feel blessed to live here in America's Heartland, so many places have over developed their properties and mismanaged their water resources and are experienced drought and we are managing an excess of water.
Great job putting tile in guys
Tile is a farmers best friend. Some people get the wrong impression of tile.
Yes they do. To much moisture is not good either. IF you look in field or anywhere and stuff is turning yellow after a rain that a sign of to much water.
Good morning sunshine! I love waking up to watch yall work! Lol! Great video! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
Great job running the 850J Mr Dirt Perfect
Awesome drone footage
You guys do good work...wish I had a field that needed tile!
Great job great video thanks Mike and Aron
32:54 DP holds up three fingers and says: "We have four runs left." lol Seriously, you guys did a great job.
It's an easy thing to fix, if you keep forgetting equipment, tools, etc. Simply gather up your garage items needed, the night before and then leave your truck key's with those items. You will soon remember where your missing truck keys were left. Give it a try...that's exactly how I do it. Blue Sky's.
very nice job....love the drone footage to get the overall scope of the project...
I used to be in the top 10 viewer then moved into the top 100. Now, I’m lucky if I’m in the top 1,000 to see DP’s video. It’s really good to see this channel growing. DP has worked really hard to post good interesting and educational content especially with humor. Great job Mike.
I was in the lower 50's this morning. I got lucky to.lol
Appreciate that guys
With the amount tiling you guys installed into that field it must hold a tremendous amount of water. Good job guys hope the farmer appreciates your efforts.
Good morning from Alabama your doing good work love the videos.
Good morning, Friday. May 3 Birthday today. 69.
Happy birthday bro 🎉🥳💯 and many more 💚🌱💨✌🏻😎🦨
Happy birthday dude
Is that your age, or your birthday present? 😂
Happy Birthday!! My 66th birthday was May 1st.
Happy birthday! It's my hubby's birthday today too! He is 66 yrs!
Kemosabe, love it when William shows up with something to Tell! With your overwhelming propensity to banter with Aaron I'm surprised you don't provide a head band with feather and suggest he rides a Shetland! Enjoy the videos, thanks.
I really enjoy the time lapses and I wonder if there's any way to superimpose an analog clock into one corner of the screen? It would really give an added dimension to the lapses.
Hi this Tony from the UK I just love watching you two yo make such a good double act great to watch........ keep it comming
Kind Regards to you all TONY
It really looks like it was good plowing so we will overlook hole number 27 at this time big Ed coming to you from Central City Kentucky. Have a great and wonderful day.
Hi Mike & Aaron & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Mike & Aaron & Friends & Randy
Thumbs up from Sweden have a Nice weekend boys and girls🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😅😅
There is an issue with one hydraulic cylinder bending because the boot bottoms out when raising the boot before the cylinder internally bottoms out:
See the video at 20:40
It's the 1.5 inch ram was supposed 2 2inch rams but supplier messed up an used the 1.5" as was a need to finish it for a j9b I think Mik3 said if they have any issues and problems there fix or replace was 8n a shop video after her boot ripped of dur to bedrock
Great video Mr Dirt Perfect and MBTS
Thanks for showing us the end result and the tile opossums stopper.
Awesome videos Mike, have never seen this type of drainage solution before..
Perfect choice the William Tell overture
Good Morning Mike, If all the 850J does is lay tile the rest of it's life It will pay off in spades. Beautiful work in this field Mike. Me and my brother were talking after your last video about how smooth the the 4" plow works, you couldn't have done a better job building that one. Keep up the good work.
Great video. Would love to see the yield maps
Great video Mike!
That was job well done that green dozer is a beast I seen a dozer little bigger then yours military selling it cheep.
It something to celebrate seeing a flowing tile. Great Job!
Love the judicious use of time lapse.
Outstanding job well done. I’d be anxious to know how much that big of a job cost.. like price per foot etc in your area up there. Stay blessed!
if you lower the water level the plants roots will grow down deeper to match the level then later in summer when a drought does hit the root system will be deep enough to counteract any problems with being dry at surface .
Men behind The Scenes! You guys are the Best!! Here we go ,Coffees on! Cheers!;-)!!
I like the "I hope that is not the most exciting part of theis video.", been there, done that on a 4" cast iron water pipe. Stopvalve 3/4 mile away. (Did not knowthat at the time, the closest "valve" was a WO. (wash out.))
Might want to check the right cylinder on the plow if you are looking at it from the cab at around 20:40 when you lift the plow it moves like it is bent or broken
Cool drone shots!
Hi you have the 850J and the tile plough with its changes working really well.
the tile feeding thru the plow - reminds me of a local bug - 'tobacco worm' or millipede.
defintely like to see the yield maps for the various years on this.
I found it humorous that at 32:55 you stated that you had four runs left while holding up three fingers.
I enjoy your channel. Wish you would show the water coming out of the job finished!
Watch the end of the video where it is shown.
Hi Guys, I have an idea... If you mounted a disc on the counterweight on the blade to slit the sod the ditch would open cleaner and then also close smoother if you needed to turn you could just lift it out of the ground.... I think that the plow would also pull easier. I watch all of your videos and enjoy them all. Thanks for making my days better...
You all are doing a wonderful job. That aerial view you just gave was a total winner. It placed everything in perspective visually not that you did not explain it sufficiently.
Thanks
Been great viewing this job guys and cheers for posting bro. Safe travels. Ken.
The other benefit to tile is oxygen to the roots of the plants . Air goes up the tile and up through the dirt to the roots of the plants . That's why you can't grow anything in a swamp . That ground should be plowed up with tile that wide every so often if it is no tilled . NB .
Can't wait to see the auto grad system working. You guys already seem to have sped up quite a lot! Thanks for taking us along!
Holy fob, that overview shot with the drone at the end. That's a lot of drainage piping... Imagine doing it with the 120 and the 12 inche bucket, the project would have lasted a whole UA-cam season... Nice and quick job, my compliments to you and the Mbts. Thumbs up and see ya too.
making own ploughs has certainly got you more work out ways the cost of buying/hiring equipment and on hand as well. quicker than digging long trenches
Great video guys, excellent work those discharge pipes proved that at the end of the video. Drone footage was very nice also, you and Aaron are doing fantastic work.👍🏻
Good to see Gunner in the video also.
Great work and video guys😎😎
Great video. That should be the best drained field in Indiana. The top soil there looks very rich and fertile. From West Texas.
Thanks Mike and company this is one for your records book isn’t it?
Come on Mike get it together! We love your videos! 😂
DP not sure if it is normal or not, the smaller boot lift cylinder has an odd jump when it tops out on the lift. It can be seen shortly after the 20:25 point of this video. Hope it is nothing just looks odd to me.
That was a lot of tile. Shucks! No more dead animals to clog a pipe, LOL. Cool device never seen one before. I didn't recall you ever mentioning them until the video with the clogged pipe a week or two back. I see the Energizer Bunny popped in for a visit at the end. 🤣
loved the time lapse music!
This video is very impressive Mike on this job and were is the Door Mike .Aaron stole it .
Nice,that seemed a little too easy,got enough help.just keep working and you’ll be done,maybe 😎😎😎👍👍👍
When I think how a system like this would've helped my uncle's dairy farm, wowza. Thank you for showing the amount of water draining out of the field. I like that. Wonderful drone footage, that's fun to watch as was the video of it getting dark. Aaron, I think Cousin Matt is going to be very happy with the results. Mike, masterful work and a great job, guys.
Another job well done Mike & Aaron love the humor keep it up!
Mike and Aaron Your make a great Work, this Drainage Lay. Your have mad much Yards Drains in this great Areal lay. And this in a Speed Tempo. The Farmer is Happy and will surelt from the Meadow a Korn fiel make! Very good Video from Different Position make. Thanks.
Always amazed by the tiling machine
Looks like it's working good 👍🏻🇺🇲
That looks great 😊
That has to be the most tile in one field I've seen yet
.......👍👍
Glad you didnt hit the water main, I saw a grader hit one in roadworks many years ago, was a good 30 foot high gusher and the road excavation was flooded in minutes.
Oh the “Flagmanity”!
NOOOOO! 🥵 KHANNNN‼
One cannot help but think of "The Lone Ranger" when hearing, or playing "William Tell " overture. As always, a very professional film. Well done, even to "The Man Behind the Scenes", but don't tell him.
I would say then...it is about time you put a power inverter in the loader to plug a GO-PRO battery charger in and keep a spare battery it switch out .
Here in California’s Central Valley we level the fields with a “ land plane” and put in plastic tubing with holes in it a few inches below the surface and pump water INTO the ground to irrigate the row crops. Couldn’t you send us a little of your surplus water?
Very well done guys. Enjoyed it!
Regarding the battery charging situation, go to Harbor Freight and purchase a 12 volt DC to 120 volt AC inverter then install it somewhere on your truck or equipment so you can work and charge at the same location.
I believe they have one. 🤔
I’m thinking and said same thing. Problem is that it’s electrical problem and not a metal one (fabrication problem)
Already is one in the bed and the white truck. Plus GoPros will charge off 12v
@@williamuskoski1385 I know nothing about go-pro’s. But I do know heavy equipment. Cigarette lighter’s are not in them. And most heavy equipment runs on multiple batteries. Meaning car and truck and motor cycles run on one battery at 12 volts, heavy duty equipment runs on 14 volts and more depending on it’s battery banks. My semi truck has two sets of four batteries in parallel and my other truck has them in daisy chain. This is why I said that he need’s a power inverter to better regulate the battery power. Plus most cameras and cell phones will still work when charging them, so the issue of dead devices is mute.
@@robertlukacs1762 you missed the point. There’s a charger for the dewalt stuff in the white pickup and a charger in the lowboy. Almost everything after 2000 is all 12v. Keeps it simple. And semis are still 12v wired in parallel for more amps. Same with equipment. Your point is mute
Hey DP while you were plowing pipe there at about16:30 i was inspecting the belly pan of the 850J Now I'm not a dozer repair guy, but it appears there is a missing bolt on the belly pan. Right side of dozer all the way to the front. Hate to see that fall off some day because I didn't say anything!
Aaron is always right, a bit like your self mike !! nice to see the old cat D4 if it's not Brock don't sell it. know glass to break, know door"s to damage.
Thank you Mike, Aaron, and Matt That was just so much fun.
Not sure if it's the lens of the camera but the small rod looks bent on the cylinder at 29:36
I was thinking the same thing.
It looks bent at 20:42 also. Something is going on with that cylinder. You can see it move a lot when extended to max travel.
FYI: Aaron does not suffer fools or make unwarranted apologies😇 😉💕
What would be handy for a job like that would be just a simple Trimble light bar. Could set a straight or even curved line and your spacing then just follow the green lights. Wouldn’t have to spend all the money for auto steer and such.
Planned or not, ending the William Tell Overture at dark was EPIC!!!! If it was possible to plow tile at time lapse speed, imagine the acres that could be covered in a day! I really liked the drone shots as well.
You boys are the tile laying kings.
Would love to see how you setup the lazer. Probably already have an episode. Really enjoy the vids! Thanks so much.
Around 35:05 all I could think was "Surf's Up!". 😁
Mike, what did it cost to do this field. Hubby and I are talking about how we can't imagine living in a place where this has to be done in the fields. Here in Southeastern Arizona that just doesn't happen😊. You and Aaron do a great job and we enjoy watching.
Nice job explaining field tile.
You can put extra camera batteries and chargers in your white service truck
