HAHAHA .... "sounds like someone's having a bad day in the bathroom" omg that had me rolling!!
After that comment Aaron confessed his true colors when he said "I did NAZI ANYTHING." (Check it, replay the video)
Or,… maybe a real good day!😂
@richparks1966 He said not see anything come out.
Looks like we found the answer to the question "What crawled up there and died?"
The bad day was definitely had by Mr Possum!
😂😂😂 Aaron in the bucket was my favorite part! I thought for sure you were going to shake the bucket just a bit!😂 Thanks for starting my day with a giggle! Happy Sunday!!
"We are not playing that today" 🤣😂😅
The stork delivering babies: how an operator is born 😂 Aaron perfectly nestled in the bucket.
I cant believe he didnt give him a light pat with the bucket in the water at least😂
😅@@janieweyers6230
Man Behind the Scenes seems to have done an awesome job letting the boss do all the dirty work.
That critter didn't think ahead about possumbly getting stuck... my goodness!
Now you've got a new reference point for directions. " Go on up this road until you pass opossum pipe, then it'll be another 1/4 mile or so 'till you make a left at Broken plow trail and that'll take you right to oil pan rock, stop there, get out and walk another 100 yards over the hill and you'll see Aaron stuck in Bubba Dump, right where I told him to go". That's how I learned to give directions, spending my summers "loaned out" to relatives in a little town just west of Nashville Tennessee.
They are Aussie bush directions too😂😂
I'm from a little town just west of Nashville....as in Fairview...live in FL now 😊

The whole clan from my father's side is centered in and around Vanleer. I spent most of my time down on old Yellow creek rd right where Cedar creek rd crossed the old steel trestle bridge. Who ever needed help would call my Aunt and she'd send me out with her old Massey Ferguson to get where I needed to be. The day I earned the respect of my older cousins was when I jumped off the top of the bridge into the swimming hole. 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
That cable saved ya’ll a whole lotta PITA work! Paid for itself on the 1st job. Thank goodness we don’t have Smell-O-Vision. Thanks for sharing DP!
Agreed on the Smell-O-Vison. I can handle gnarly stuff, but dog barf and rotted critters....whole different ballgame! lol
How did that possum get in there?
@@nicholaschelala4868 Obviously crawled up the pipe when it was dry.
Should really have some kind of end cap on that pipe to stop anything significant getting up there..
@@ashhawk2346 why is there a T section? I figured it would be an L only. didn't know they dug deep like that.
That locator is one of those pricey tools that you rarely need, but which pays for itself in a single use.
Mike on our field tiles on the outlets we always put 2 big galvanized gutter spikes through the pipe to keep the critters out .
Leaving and open 6' or 8" tile only invites Opossums to crawl up in to the pipe looking for a meal, and they can't turn around and die in the pipe even young Racoons will crawl up in to the pipes.
The Gutter spikes are cheaper than a road guard and work just as well.
😂 rodent guards cost less than $20 bucks 🤷🏻♂️ so how much are you saving with galvanized gutter spikes 🤔😉😂
@@kevink4914 2 gutter spikes is less than 2 dollars
@@kevink4914 I just paid about $1.62 each for 12” galvanized gutter spikes with the plastic ferrule (that I cut to the diameter of the tile to help keep the end from crushing) - so even using 2, I’d save about a 12 pack 🍻😆
Hey now, you gotta keep fuel in the machine installing those spikes, and I didn't even think of those "plastic ferrule"s that would be with the gutter spikes, its being thrifty at its finest when you use everything from your simple solution, and have beer money.
@@TheLoiteringKid farmer are very thrifty. Baling wire get used for many things and Gutter spikes in 1979 was 15 cents a piece, so they got used for many things.
If one is lucky you can find the Aluminum gutter spikes and the y never deteriorate.
Just heat the spike up and push it through the pile is all one needed to do.
PVC outlets and animal guards- every time. Because if it can go wrong- it will go wrong! Nice fix
Now I see why you keep MBTS around, he fits in the bucket perfect for those interesting situations. Another very versatile attachment
In uk parlance your saying he’s a Tool😂
lol
You had a mystery week. Cable fiber will pay for itself. Nice job 👍.
Too bad it does not have a camera
At first, I envisioned that sensor cable showing up in someone's bathroom flopping all over the place and someone yelling, STOP STOP, PULL IT OUT!!! PULL IT OUT!!!
lol.
Awwwe isn’t it just cute watching dwarfs doing grown up jobs!!??? Haha. Aaron laying down In the bucket reminds me of my kid when he was helping me when young. Good job guys.
There’s nothing like having the right equipment for the job in hand. Well done !
Good morning guys 💯🌞 coffee and dirt perfect on Sunday ☕
You guys coming to the steam show in Pennsylvania this year
me too...me too!
In august is the plan
@@DirtPerfect that's awesome I got to meet diesel Creek last year at the spring time one I'll be there bring merchandise
Years ago in Iowa we had a tile blocked about 50 ft from the outlet several dead skunks that chose to spend the winter and died---was a mess to remove !!!
Now I’m gonna have terrible dreams of walking down a 300+’ hallway looking for tacos and getting trapped at the end but can’t back up/can’t turn around 😱
So once again this brings back memories 50+ years ago for me. In my tiling days I ran into this situation. My first guess was a muskrat. That was what it was I my experience. My second guess would have been a large barn rat. Either could be large enough to block the pipe. Even if they weren't quite big enough to completely block the pipe while alive, they will bloat and seal the pipe as they enlarge. Above ground either of these animals would decay quickly from maggots but in an isolated place like that, decay would occur much slower. It is similar to how much slower wood rots in water verses exposure to an environment which is much more oxygen-rich.
Just so you can feel bad about this event … if the situation had developed differently, with the possum getting a chance to decompose (before the water backup interfered with the rate of decomposion) it may have never been a problem at all. Once the flesh and fur fell off, the path would be only slightly blocked. 😊
Who stayed until the end without fast forwarding?! The anticipation was killing me. Haha. Nice work building that suspense and oddly entertaining to watch. 🤔
I had to FF.... I'm too impatient. I already watch 99% of my videos in 2x speed to begin with. I did the tappity tap til about a minute before the big reveal. I admit it.
“Bad day in the bathroom” 😂😂😂, way to nail an analogy of the situation Aaron. Nice job, making the best of a bad situation. Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching.
Good morning from a very Bonnie Scotland 🏴🤜🏼⚡️🤛🏼
May be Bonnie Scotland but it is bleak and dreary with drizzle all day here in Fife.😁
@@jamesm875 ngl it wasn't bad at all in the Central Belt. Makes a change, it's normally better in Fife
Blimey that Possum went on a serious journey all the way up that pipe from the outlet.
Amazing how green them fields went in just two days as well.
That’s got to be the craziest thing I’ve ever seen Mike and Arron
That tool is powered. Powered by Aaron lol. This was one of the funniest video's. Great stuff guys.
I have often wondered, with the tile ending in ditches and creeks, why you don't fit the outlet with a screen of some type. They must make them for the pipe sizes you use. Thanks for sharing.
Mike and Aaron, one heck of a job finding and repairing the drain pipe problem. It's a good thing they haven't came out with smellavision. You have one of the most comical and entertaining video programs on UA-cam. God Bless and Good Health.
Brought back memories of me snaking my septic lines out of my house a couple months ago. Not good memories. LOL
This is a compliment.
Your worker is probably the best yes man I have ever witnessed. Didn't have a clue what you were talking about with that first job, but after that qualifier he was backing up everything you said. All through the video, there was no pushback or disagreement but he added content for the purposes of the video. Perfect.
I say give the man a raise.
Hey Mike, we always put stainless steel animal guards on all of our outlets. We have tried plated steel, but they rust off in about 5 years. Before using them I have found groundhogs and muskrats in our tile. Nothing since.
Put a one-way flapper on the end of the out flow pipe
I couldn't fathom the opossum traveling that far. Oh My! Well, at least it was a law-abiding, Tequilla drinking armadillo from Texas that came up there just for some pond water to drink.
You guys did good. Great video.
A camera on that fibreglass rod would be great
Opossum patrol, that’s crazy how it crawled that far in the tile! Good job guys, thanks for sharing Mike and Aaron! Yall take care! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻
Wow can’t believe that was in there . Great job DP and Aaron
Nice succes 😅😅again thumbs up from Sweden 😅😅
Thanks buddy

Unbelievable a possum in the pipe craziness great video thanks Mike and Aron
"Bathroom Blues" - new single by MBTS and you went all the way with the turtle and had me believing it was a snapper. 😛👍👌
Man that must have honked ! Great job fixing it all guys. Best wishes from Moonzie Fife Scotland 👌
Loved the snarky jabs at each other, only friends can do that. Guess possums don't back up well. That new locater works great 🎉🎉😂
I loved the delayed look you gave when he asked if you still have those rubber boots.
That's some nasty stuff. Great work guys. You stuck with it.
It may not be your favourite machine DP, but it sure beats working a shovel by hand. 😂
True
30:23 can't believe Aaron didn't yell and scare Mike 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Job well done guys👍👍✌️
It amazes me, the finesse that a good operator can perform with dirt moving tools!!!
this is why we cap our drains with grids, to STOP wildlife getting in and getting stuck and dying in there.
You just never know what you will find. Great video. Stay safe
Hey fellas, friendly tip. On the side of you’re rodder there should be a big wing nut, loosen it a bit when you’re roding a pipe and it should get tangled on its self. Then tighten it when you get it rolled back up. 🤙🏽
Good morning, Sunday, April 21st rainy Day🌨NC
That is one sharp knife MBTS! Good job guys.
Morning gentleman that was awesome is it the first you had stinky with smellvison. Lol hard to think the possum crawled that far well done the new locator told the story grate tool to have 👍👋🇨🇦
Reminds me of a song we used to sing around the Camp Fire! "Dead Possum in the middle of the road!" Now revised to: "Dead Possum in the middle of the pipe!" I was betting; turtle, too! Great video! Thanks Mike and Aaron! Lee
MBTS playing "possum." 🤣
hello Mike & Aaron & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Mike & Aason & Friends Randy
Job well done guys.👍👍👍👍
Farmer Chris would be proud, especially when he see's the footage. 😊
My father used to work at a company making the corrugated drainage pipe. They sold a 10 ft section of galvanized pipe with a grate at the end to keep rodents out.
Not expecting that at all! Wow!
Not a dull moment..
Real top-notch boss creds today, Mike ! I can't think of any other boss that would have done that !
DP mentioned that if they didnt use the cable you'd have to dig up the tile every 15 ft . That's the hard way to find the problem. First dig it up at the midpoint and see which side has the clog then dig up again halfway further toward the clog, repeat until its located. This minimizes the number of holes required.
Here is another thought on a different level, maybe Aaron just needed to use a toilet plunger 😁
Great new tool‼️🙋♀️💖🇨🇱
That was crazy. Ive never seen that before.
That thing on a real saved you saved a lot of digging. Cant remember what its called. Great purchase and seem s to be a good problem finder.
Nice job, really like the probe snake, best of a stinky situation.😅
Mike, I think you could thread a needle with that mini!! NICE work! Good on you too, Aaron!! Thank God there's no smellovision....!!
Good morning from Siesta Key Florida
Thanks for the video Mike Like it and yes it was Block.
Reminds me of the video of Upstate brush control cleaning out that cistern with several dead possums floating in it. I could almost smell it thru the internet. You guys got strong gag reflex.
Always wondered about a guard on the outlets.
Good Morning from New Brunswick,Canada
Thank you for another great video. Cheers
Another job well done for the Dirt Perfect team I just love how you two work together
What !! No two inch pump. We are not playing those games now. Love it ! ! Thanks. DP almost DP
Good morning
256 👍's up DP thank you for sharing 🤗
Good morning guys. I'll drink a cup of coffee for ya this chilly morning here in Michigan.
I enjoyed watching your search for a blockage.
Y'all laid a possum trap by not putting a grate on the end of the tile!!! Possum killers!!! LOL RIP little critter!!!
You and MBTS heavy coats farmer no coat
Ain't nobody can accuse you of being afraid to get your hands dirty, DP.....am guessing MBTS was glad you took the lead on this one...😉😊👍
Years ago, we were installing a 6” gas main, someone for got to put a temporary end cap on. Next day we had problems with air test. Lo and behold, there was a possum in the pipe.
Pesky little creatures.
Great job guys!
We used to move irrigation pipe by hand and critters were always getting in there. The other issue was that if the guy on the end touched the electric fence everyone down the line got shocked.
11:06 ❤❤❤
Great video,I can Imagine what that must have smelled like.great fix, great job.on to the next, hopefully not a plugged pipe.😎😎😎👍👍👍
years ago i had a blockage that stopped a copper ore plant a feral cat was trapped someone thought that putting it ito the ball mill was a good way of getting rid of it instead it blocked a pipe causing a very expensive shut down
13:27 “I don’t wanna hear it Nancy!” lol
Mike when I tiled with my father in-law We had to put these grates at the ditch to keep muskrats and turtles out of the tile.
At the end of the video he mentioned he normally does, but must have forgotten this one
I guess you could put a cage on the dry end to keep the critters out. Nice job 👍
DP and man behind the scenes I’m glad this ain’t got smell of vision. I bet that was a rotten Smell your locator done a good job. Think that was a good investment.👍🤦♂️
Just here reading the comments after watching, not disappointed 🤣
Roto Rotor for Opossums, something else for your resume. Need to add a picture of an Opossum to your Dirt Perfect logo. You guys are a Hoot.
Good Sunday morning to you all
Best video I've seen for a while. And, I'd put a screen on the exit end of those pipes.
Thumbs up from NW Indiana
Good thing you had the long reach 304 in the neighborhood!
Great job and video 💯✌🏻💚🌱🌞☕💨
Great video!!
Guess the possum crawled in and couldn't turn around so went as far as it could. Truly hit the dead end. Great video. Shows not all dirt work is fun.
Morning DP and Aaron
Nice Vid!
Thx for the video my friends 🍺😎
GOOD JOB!
