    Just traded in my 2018 LTZ in on a 2022 HC last week. The 2018 had 19,500 miles and the HC had 1K miles. Was allowed $5800 more for my 2018 than I gave for it 3 years ago. They had the HC at 1K under MSRP so we did OK. The HC I got only had the 5.3, no tri fold tailgate, or electronic steps. I guess you could consider it not as loaded as some but the MSRP was still high at 68K plus. Cherry red tint coat and nice looking with 22's. It has the AFM deleted from the factory so I am good with that. I think it is a chip shortage thing. Great review. Thanks again.

      Thanks for watching! The cherry red tint coat looks incredible in the sun. The aftermarket for steps is plentiful if you’re wanting to add them. Regarding the AFM delete, a lot of the cars I get are offering credit for missing items. I know GMC offered credit and retrofitting items like heated seats when available. Thanks again for watching and congrats on your HC.

    Thank you for this great review! You talked about how great the suspension is. Is it because of the Max Trailer Package? You had put that up on the screen. Or is it just the normal suspension that come with the HC. Thanks again!

      Thanks for watching. It is because of the max trailer package. I drove an LTZ trim which also has the same High-Capacity Suspension Package that the High Country has standard, and this felt different and better because of the max trailer package. When you add the package, you get Handling/Trailering Suspension Package, Revised shock tuning, Heavier duty rear springs and increased RGAWR which i assume was what attributed to the better feel of this Silverado.

    Thank you so much! Have a 15 Silverado LTZ and thinking about this. Not sure if the High Country vs LTZ is worth it. Great job, very helpful!

      Thanks for watching. You made me go on the Chevy site to compare the options. Normally I’m all about saving a buck but I saw the adaptive ride control is not available in the LTZ. Honestly, that’s what made this possibly the best driving pickup I’ve reviewed. Only the RAM’s 4 corner air suspension rides just as good but then you’re dealing with future air suspension repairs. If you don’t mind it driving a little more like a pickup, go LTZ with the bigger 6.2L V8 and you’re still $2500 cheaper. Honestly though, that suspension is worth the $5300 difference.

      @@Revmatchmedia I sat down with a Chevy Salesman we have worked with for many prior cars. We picked 20" wheels. We picked the adaptive suspension but it said you need 22" wheels for that. Does this make sense to you? I am going to get the HIgh Country. Trying to decide on the engine. Have to order, nothing on any lots with ours specs. Thanks!

      I’m wondering how you see the adaptive suspension option separately. I’m on the Chevy site and don’t see it as an option. All I see is their lift for LTZ but it does show it for the High Country trim.

      @@Revmatchmedia It came up when he was configuring the build. I will ask him tomorrow. He told me that the site does not always recognize some limitations; i;e; it will let you configure some things that cannot go together.

      @@packerbob9129 so it does require the 22” when I select it on the high country. Also, you’re going to love that infotainment screen. It completely changed the feel of the Silverado.

    I am trying to decide between black or dark ash metallic. Does dark ash metallic have a lot of purple in it?

      @Revmatchmedia  Рік тому

      It has some purple in it. The dark ash will have more life to it since it has the metallic flake in it. It will look black in darker light but will shine in the sun. The black won't be as alive and harder to hide scratches without the metallic finish.

    Why are all inters dark?
