yeah, you can see him using circular breathing specifically at 2:18, you can watch his chest rise while he's forcing the air with his cheeks. I've been playing clarinet for 9 years and still haven't gotten it down. That man has put in his practice hours.

@jonny j It absolutely does not sound as good. The original album came out in 1998, and it sounds like recording guitars through tin cans compared to what's possible today. The RELOADED version is a huge step up, but it still sounds pretty dry. This version is super smooth and has a really fleshed out low end profile that sounds a lot like Violent Sleep of Reason.
Yeah honestly this version sounds pretty amazing. Compressed a little too hard, but definitely nicer than the original

There are more factors that contribute to the overall sustain of a guitar too:
- type and hardness of woods used to make a guitar
- 'rigidity' of construction - set neck Vs bolt-on
Elfcheg some of the first electric guitars were made of metal. Look up “frying pan electric guitar”

not sure why i noticed, probably the herb but its pretty amazing how that dude playing the clarinet played that entire solo while breathing in and out. Is that some kind of fancy clarinet technique so you never have to stop playing to breathe?
Circular breathing. I think it's used for reeds and woodwinds.
