When I was in my 20s my dad told me that when I was 3 our family went fishing at the river. 2 guys came by on a boat and they were making lude comments about me. He was still boiling with rage about it after all those years. He said it was all he could do not to jump in the water and go confront them. He wouldn't tell me exactly what they said. Anyway, the creepiest part is that it was 1982 or 1983 in the same area that Nyleen was taken. I have a summer birthday so I'm not sure which year it was.

All of the mining areas are vehemently haunted, we have creeps,organized crime, and rampant recidivism…. Oh- but it sure is pretty ❤
I was a volunteer on this search as I lived very near by and knew the Elkhorns well. My father, my friend and I struck out one day taking the trail from Moppet creek, up McClellan creek to the crest of the Elkhorns where my father turned back. My friend and I continued on into the Tizer basin and then down Prickley Pear creek and coming out at Jefferson city. Not sure how far that is but I know I'd never make it today. I was 20 then. We spent several days searching but after combining all the information then, my father surmised that she most likely wasn't there but had been taken from the area. While most of the searchers focused on the immediate area, we covered miles of the surrounding area often splitting up and coming back together on the next ridge or creek bottom. I remember how hard it was to give up but we really had no choice. Even now it disturbs me when I think about it.
I remember when I was a child and we were on holiday in Scotland my parents only ever let me go where they could see me. Kids going missing in the UK was getting more active. I feel for these people but if I could of been a Mam my child wouldn't of left my sight somewhere like that. I didn't always listen to my parents and was lucky, a year after we moved at a park I wasn't meant to go to a little lass lost her life while her little brother was hiding behind trees and saw everything that happened. I was so lucky

This almost sounds like a Missing 411 case. Dogs finding a scent that randomly stops. That usually only happens when someone gets in a car but they were in the woods? The letter had no specific info to confirm it was actually about her. Perhaps she went where the Missing 411 go? One of the kids spoke about a bear that looked after her, another about a man in his cabin but there was no cabin and no expiation for his good state of health when found. All just weird.

We need to consider the possibility that the kidnappers/serial killers that are never caught are police/law enforcement

That's crazy that they found another missing girl by bringing national attention to Nylene. At least some good came from this tragedy.
