I installed the intake and love it, the difference in the throttle is little noticeable but I feel as if sound wise my car only has the deep induction noise as lower mph.. anyone know why that might be?
@dabbykilo3410 Yes, I agree, I wish it was more consistent with sound for the 2.0L. But it is probably due to our engine type, my friend. The 1.5l will always sound and perform better.
the deep induction is quite literally your car getting more air than it was before. its normal to hear deep induction noises with cold air intakes. especially if they are high flow like this one
NO, NO, NO! Just read all the comments and answered all of my questions. DON”T GET ME STARTED! I’m a 6th GEN owner and this is going to bring too much memories! 😂❤
It was on sport with paddles, I wasn't putting the pedal all the way down and was shifting early lmao I didn't want to push it too much 😅 thank you! 🤝🏻
@itsricksung both are great, PRL just has a better history with no check engine lights or issues compared to K&N. Can't go wrong with either one though 👍🏻
I was just wondering how or would the intake work on a civic sport manual, I no there aren't too many out there aside from the hatch and si, but a standard sport manual
@bobjones5976 standard sport manual as long as it's the 11th gen 2022+, it'll work perfectly fine. I've seen someone with this intake on and he had a 2.0L Sport manual and loves it as much as I do 👍🏻
I recently bought the K&N performance intake for my 24 honda civic and sounds amazing, but then I found another intake called high volume intake system and well I don’t know if that high volume is better than K&N? Any recommendations
I personally would recommend both, but prl more since I've never really had issues with it and it's very well trusted and had a ton of good reviews on it. All my friends have em and for many years. No problems, as long as you Maintain it every 30k miles or when the filter isn't red anymore.
@@reuek I don't think so, but instead help improve your engine's performance and fuel economy in the long run 👍🏻 had mine on for 8 months & no issues with the engine or my warranty even.
@@Lil.Sivica08man, Honda said this would void my warranty which is so dumb, because I agree it’s healthy for the engine. It seems like they have no hard and fast rules on the warranty. Because everybody seems to have different experiences.
@CollinHill damn bro I'm sorry to hear that. My dealer said the only thing that I need to cautious of is a tune, which has the most potential of voiding my warranty. But they said an intake wouldn't void it as long as it's not the cause of anything. That's dumb man, I guess every dealer is different 😅
The OEM paper filter will filter dirt particles down to a smaller micron than any aftermarket high air flow filter can. So you're sacrificing air flow for filtration. On the 2.0, I wouldn't bother unless you just have to have the sound or buy it on the cheap! Forget about HP gain; I'd bet the gain is so nominal you couldn't measure it on a dyno. Having said this, my previous car went 330k miles on a K&N and I never had a problem.
Car is Goals. I'm considering this as my 1st mod.
