I love the Rili neos they are so beautiful….I’d love to master the art and keep cardis but I love how easy neos are. I had ammonia spike and they survived,I was amazed how hardy they are. This is probably one of the best shrimp keeper channels online ❤

@FishKeepingAnswers cool you replied, I've got 5 out of it so far. Pretty cool because I've just recently got into breeding starting with some orange sunkist. Love this hobby
Was able to produce choco colored shrimps from blue x red then greens from red and yellow which was interesting then i separated them to produce more of those colors
To be fair, with effort, selective breeding and hard culling, mixing colours is how new strains are made, but few people would put the time and effort in like you did. Great to hear you are having success 🦐👍🏻
@@margera347 it does but you will occasionally see some mixed in it since its original color came out from mixed too .. was able to produce lot of jades and emeralds from deep colored shrimps then separated them for selective breeding and had to cull every once in a while.
Hi, Richard! I also love aquarium shrimps. You have very interesting and useful videos for me. Thank you! This video is also very good. But let me fix you up a little.. The Caridine and Neocaridine shrimps belong to the same family - the Atiidae. Caridines and Neocaridines are a GENUS of shrimp. There are different SPECIES within each genus. For example, palmata and davidi are different types of neocaridines. Yellow, blue, red, etc. are subspecies or just different color forms of neocaridines If I'm wrong, please correct me
Great video, thank you, I have cherry shrimp in a community tank, and they are doing very will, I also have a cherry Breeding tank just set to put the large ones in my community tank. Could I also put a caidine species in my breeding tank and community tank? So they won’t interbreed but keep their own colours. I would love to have 2 types in my tank. Regards Mark
All Neos will cross breed, and all caridina too. Neos most will get natural coulored. Caridina are more interessting for cross breeding. Sorry bad english🤪

When my shrink crossbreed 80% chance it’s ugly mixed 20% chance it’s actually a rainbow shrimp
🤔
Nicely explained! Have Yellow king kings and Pure Red Lines, living together at the moment!

You’re welcome 👍🏻
Awsome video bro, very informational

Sir can you make a colony of shrimp in a tank with fish in it? I currently have 3 guppies and a honey gourami and have 4 shrimp
Yep, you certainly can. Give the shrimp lots and lots of cover, and they should be fine 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing, I personally will keep only one color in my shrimp 10g tank.
I’m the same 👍🏻
Recently put blue, yellow, black, red, red/white, black/white colours into mine.. Will See what happens...

@@FishKeepingAnswers Just a German Shrimpkeeper, it has been a long time ago i learnd english in school😅
I suspect your English is way above my schoolboy German 😳😳😳
Is it realistic to have a shrimp community of all female? I’m more interested in having one of each color vs having them breed
Are you the narrator for Caught on Dashcam ? 🤔
I can neither confirm nor deny I am the same person 😎
Question: will they crossbreed?
Answer: Definitely, they will cross breed. They r not racist n don’t care what color their mates are. Duhhh..
