Trim switches, multi-protocol, good sized display... All the compromises you used to have to make for a small radio are going away. This thing is nice!
Thanks for finding out how the Zorro handles the rain! If you do start using it a lot, I think a lot of people would be interested in hearing how the battery life is when used as a main radio.
Nice small form factor radio. Great demonstration with that large glider. It's great that it comes with a full 4-in-1 module. Thanks for the review Andrew. See you in the Air!
Informative, plain language, and to the point. Thanks so much for your reviewing style. And great to see one of your classic gliders coming out of storage. Cheers.
Nice little radio, and a lovely flight, too. I cannot understand why Spektrum haven't got on this trend for 'game controller' style handsets, Instead of their bricks. I want a lightweight radio with a wrist strap for dlg, and my Rxs are Spekkie...
The radiomaster cells are only 900mah, I found some 1100mah 18350 cells locally here in the UK for only £5 ($9AUD) each, so I bought 4 of them. Takes less than a minute to swap them over, but I haven't needed to so far, I don't have enough LiPos for my planes to be out flying longer than 90ish minutes or so... at which point the batteries in the zorro are nowhere near low enough to need swapping out.
Hi Andrew. Congrats for your Video. Currently I have Radiomaster Tx16s (4 in 1 version). I'm happy but I find it a little big and heavy. I'm considering to switch it to the Zorro. This radio offer the same freautures concerning the range and protocols compatibility as the TX16s? Thanks in advance and regards!
Do you prefer over the X-Lite ? Mostly fly DSM-DSMX, but have the need to go FrSky pre 2.0, having issues with replacing the loaded software. Maybe this would be acceptable alternative? Ya think? Thanks for your informative video.
Thanks for the heads up on Zorro. I was waiting for your take on it. It seems the perfect radio for gliders... ( and boats!!!! ..yes people forget us lot !!! ) I know the Qx7 is your goto tx but what now???
Hi Andrew, do have any video's on how to program/ bind/ set this style RadioMaster Zorro 4 in1 up to a plane/ glider/ jets? I am new to this type of radio, I always got RTF but the plane selections are not the greatest so i decided to get this radio and start to get PNF planes, thank you for your time Sir! Nice video!
Hello sir Andrew, i really love your videos i learned a lot of things. I am new to the hobby and want to upgrade my radio, what receiver should i use with this radio? I need 4-6 channels only thanks sir
I want to know if my flysky and FR Sky receivers will work on this 4 in 1 tx. Is simply a menu selection in the set up process? Thank you for your help.
@Andrew Newton thank you so much for answering for me with all the radios out its hard to decide I want 1 radio that I can use for everything lol the new radiomaster boxer looks nice too but I like the smaller size game style better I have the tx12 but not 4in1 which doesn't help with having planes thanks again
@@scu-dub I like the Zorro 4in1 more than Boxer and TX16S. The side dials are great for flaps and camera panning, and the 4 button switches are useful too.
The lift looks amazing Andrew...I'm so tempted by the RM addition...🤔😳😀🇬🇧
Very elegant... And the radio is not bad either (;-). Love watching gliding like that.
If I was young again and doing the backpack stuff I used to do - I would get this type of radio.

Yes, all I need
You certainly have got a great location to fly
Great video Andrew, shame the rain come. This radio looks like they thought about it, before they built it. 👍🏻
Very true
That's my kind of flying. What a great slope. Beautiful spot.
Thanks 👍
Thanks for finding out how the Zorro handles the rain! If you do start using it a lot, I think a lot of people would be interested in hearing how the battery life is when used as a main radio.
Will do!

Many thanks!

Thanks Alex. The Evo loved the slope
Unreal how much radios have improved from even 10 years ago, and the prices have plummeted. This is only 99 usd.
Damn you Andrew - you’ve done it again 😃 Just bought one. The Jumper one I bought the gimbal failed before I even got to use it - it’s now in the bin.
Sorry, not really. You should like this one

Yes, I though it would be a great DLG radio

Good find Charlie.
Nice flying. What glider is this?
Phoenix Evolution 2.6m
I love you approach better then alot of the other Zorro vids ..play with it shake it down first then bench griped about it )
Yes, I like real life testing for reviews

I suspect the Zorro range will be less but it's fine out to 1.5km. Havent tested futher than that. Same protocols if you get the 4in1 version.
Right now I am using every button and switch on my RM tx16s. But not with all planes. This could be an interesting addition.
TX16S is the one with the lot but I find it a bit too heavy
At first glance it looked like an old Turnigy Chassis..
GAF about the rain Mate! I was enjoying the Flying..
Does it fit in the pocket??
Not quite pocket sized
Great video Andrew, do you think you could post a video setting up edge tx many thanks Richard
I did months ago

X-Lite has slightly better build quality, but the Zorro screen is a better size, and had multi protocol
Great content! - what gear do you use for telemetry? You had vario and altitude, how?
FrSKY G-RX8 receiver. It has a vario built in
Nice simple review. It just works. :)
Thanks for the heads up on Zorro.
I was waiting for your take on it.

I know the Qx7 is your goto tx but what now???
I'll use the Zorro for a while and see what I think
Thanks for your video.
I also want to use this radio for my gliders.
What receiver model did you use for your glider.
Thanks very much

I have lots of OpenTX and mutiprotocol radio videos. All the same really
Have you been to Tunkalilla? Good spot!
It's high on the list Bazza.
which one you like the most. zorro or jumper t lite
Zorro is way better.
@@AndrewNewton Thanks
A little bit of plastic slid into those top sliders might help make it have a bit more feel.
Yes, maybe a little O-Ring
@@AndrewNewton that’s a good idea, I have a box full of different sizes that I can try when I get mine.
Is the LCD bigger than the Boxer ?.
Same size

What sort of planes and flying style?
@@AndrewNewton Trainer planes, currently all my planes are using flysky receivers do you think the 4in1 radio can work with it?
Yes they will work with the 4in1, FlySKY are excellent receivers.
@@AndrewNewton thank you very much sir

Thank you for your help.
Most Flysky and FrSKY will work with 4in1 radios/modules, but not FlySKY ANT or FrSKY ACCESS, TD or TW receivers.
Very Good
Regards
Nice
Does it support HD Zero Protocol?
That's a video protocol so very unlikely
does it have Lua script already in the radio?
Yes, pre loaded
Hows it going I fly quadcopters but also planes would I be able to use this radio for planes or jets with safe and retracts?
Yes, can do all of that easily.

🔥💕👍
I preordered mine .. 4in1 ... starting the video, lets hope it is good :) coming from a taranis 9 which is big with UMX planes to transport
It's good!

Haha, give it to me?
