Slipper clutch, traction control, ABS, liquid cooled (florida riders thank you) USB (makes it a little easier to hook up GPS) triumph has MPG over 60mpg US. The Valve checks moved to 20k miles (4 adjustment to 100k...yes thank you!!). Looked up the dyno chart smooth gradual power band and a torque curve that look almost diesel like. Fast revving motor ( how a bike makes it's power over how much power means more to me anyways ymmv). This looks to be very cost effective bike over the long haul. Yet another entry in the affordable best bang for your buck category. This is turning into a war between manufactures for "Best bike under 10k!!"
When i grow old i wanna be just like him!
$9k, only 57hp out of a 900. These Triumphs made sense at 7k, but for $9k you can get a lot more bike.
Yea totally agree. It's such a niche market. Most people buying brand new bikes sub 10k are all about bang for the buck and this just doesn't do anything. So much more out there from the Japanese bikes
+TheRacerRich These motors aren't made for peak HP. They're silky smooth and just pull, the torque is more where it's at. It's a different approach from what the Japanese bikes do.
+Renzsu Except BMW's 798cc motor, making 33hp more, also makes 6Nm more torque.
+TheRacerRich Point me to another bike that is under 450 lbs, abs + tc + slipper clutch, around 45-55 whp, under $10K. My shopping list is very short so far, sigh. Ooh, BMW F800R is interesting too.
+xorbe FZ-07 and 09? Not sure about the traction control, but you don't benefit from that on a bike with under 120hp anyway.
Where's Adam Waheed? This bike is right up his alley for a review.
Good review of a cracking bike. Ignore the Hardley wazzocks wanting more power; they know not of what they speak.
Nice bike. When are they going to start selling them in the states ?
Bought a Street Twin last week. BE WARNED -- As of March 19, 2016... 99% of those " 160+ accessories" are still not available in the USA.
Buy a 2008 Duc s4r/s. With it 130 hp and a helluva soundtrack.
can we at least hear it ?
+Joe G.P. , Unfortunately the footage lacked audio of the bike. We hope to get another ride on it in the future.
+Motorcycle USA oh so you were not the ones who filmed the footage? did you at least ride it ?
hemm what about the sound? this motorcycle is awesome without sound errrghhh?
review the new 2016 harley sportster forty eight
for a moment I tought it is air and oil cooled.
No wonder all of the other reviewers for Triumph motorcycles are always British. They're the only ones who are enthusiastic about these bikes, and that's a shame.
You forgot something when you met the other rider.
+Donbeiren Not when you're leaned over. Just a nod will do.
+This Guy I'm just curious if they do that in Europe :)
+Donbeiren ye we do, it's all over the world bud.
Ride the t120
Had always (mostly) liked Triumph's but not a fan of the new models (to much new tech that's not needed)!
So pretty
You can't pretend its air-cooled, no way, that thing is hideous!
Hideous=gorgeous?
what a boring review...
+Herman Ramlan All the information is there, you're just ageist.
+Herman Ramlan matches the bike ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
are you riding it or what? what kind of first ride review is this? delete the damn video, and let's move on to something more productive, please!
the radiator is ugly. No attempt to hide it or even make a feature of it so it looks half decent. Shame, Triumph could have been bolder, even for a retro.
