This whole concert is a magical masterpiece. It is as close to perfection as you can possibly get - Aurora's crystal clear voice, her unique performance skills, her brilliant lyrics and well chosen cover versions, her backing group, the choir, the orchestra, the venue, the staging, the impeccable camera work and sound engineering. Initially the cathedral authorities were not going to allow the performance, thankfully they changed their minds.

I feel we all have a child in our heart, but with growing up,.. our mind loose contact with this little one because of the lies in this world. in our mind we create a imaginary self identity with use of those lies as building material. This is simply the most beautiful concert I have ever seen in my 60+ years of listening to music....You really need to watch the entire concert in this Norwegian church dating back to the 1300, 720 years ago.. not only do you have Aurora singing but the entire production, engineering, sound quality....well everything is spectacular to say the least.... this is simply EPIC and will likely never be repeated again in our lifetime. Please take the time to view the entire concert...life changing. I am already a big fan of yours with Angelina Jordan and Aurora is my second favorite Artist....both from Norway...go figure. I love your comments about sustaining and protecting your imagination from childhood and nurturing that creativity and love of music in your daughter. For another magical, unique voice, try listening to Angelina Jordan. I don't know what they're putting in the water in Norway, but it seems to create magical music. Her cover of Adele's Easy On Me is simply astounding, and her original song Million Miles is amazing and touching. She's just 16 but has been singing since age 1-1/2.

I love listening to music with my daughter. We're both musicians and love live theatre. I feel horrible thinking how I acted at times when she was getting ready for school and I just told her to hurry up. I always apologize which helps but understand it hurts. Your daughter is very lucky. It's a tiny percentage of people who receive that kind of consideration as children. Not everyone hates the way the world is, but some of us realize that it really didn't have to be this way. For us, the Warriors and Weirdos, Aurora is a kind of therapy.
I appreciate that very much. And I agree with that. I don't necessarily "hate" the world. I have my days. I found a George Carlin interview where he was talking about how many gifts humanity was given and they squandered it. He said the anger in his voice isn't "anger", but disappointment. That added a ton of insight. He was a brilliant man and near the end of his life, but Aurora is still really young, especially when she wrote this song. No young person should go through life disappointed. She gives a more positive insight and gives hope to many people of all ages. I admire her for that and hope my daughter can grow up with that kind of gentleness, while still being wise and aware. 🖤

I got a strong feeling that you vil love Kalandra.Kalandra is another Norwegian band with a female singer who I think sounds a lot like Aurora but the music is more guitar based and darker.(Folkprog)

Your daughter is very lucky. It's a tiny percentage of people who receive that kind of consideration as children. Not everyone hates the way the world is, but some of us realize that it really didn't have to be this way. For us, the Warriors and Weirdos, Aurora is a kind of therapy.

And I agree with that. I don't necessarily "hate" the world. I have my days. I found a George Carlin interview where he was talking about how many gifts humanity was given and they squandered it. He said the anger in his voice isn't "anger", but disappointment. That added a ton of insight. He was a brilliant man and near the end of his life, but Aurora is still really young, especially when she wrote this song. No young person should go through life disappointed. She gives a more positive insight and gives hope to many people of all ages. I admire her for that and hope my daughter can grow up with that kind of gentleness, while still being wise and aware. 🖤
@@NORSEVIKING What you said about Carlin reminded me of a quote, "Inside every cynical person, there is a disappointed idealist". I went to look up who said it, and found it was George Carlin. It's certainly true in my case. I'm fairly well convinced that humanity is incapable of changing course before hitting the brick wall, but I still have a little hope that I'm wrong.
