This is a super video. Thanks Kevin. We need more of these. It really helps and gives me a completely new perspective on some of my edits! Thanks again!
It's bandied about that the only processor for Fuji files is Capture One, which can properly handle the non-Bayer sensor array of Fuji RAFs. What is your opinion?
Kevin, How do get good sharpening in Lightroom? For that alone, I went with Capture One. Five years in with Capture One, I’m thinking about DXO Photolab. You might coax me back into Lightroom with a good sharpening tip. Congratulations on your black belt! Have you ever tried the natural live view setting in fujifilm bodies? Supposedly, the tone curve is softer (softer shadows and highlights) even in the raw. Just curious. Great to hear your voice. Continued success in life and work, sir!
Honestly, I do no sharpening. Most people tend to over-sharpen in Lightroom. I do export sharpening in the output dialog box. Natural Live View shouldn't affect RAW files as it's effectively just a way of not showing the film simulation (or at least the adjustments to it). To my knowledge, that setting has no affect on RAW files.
@@kevin_mullins Oh, ok. Well, I thought the same thing regarding the natural live view, but at one point I saw a UA-cam video regarding this and it was apparent that there was more latitude using natural live view even when using a film sim after the fact with a raw file. I never tested it but I will do so when I have a little time.
I bought your presets Kevin and the Delta is superb 👌
Thanks, Tony. Glad you like them.
Congrats on the belt, Kevin! GIANT fan of your work!
Big thanks
Thanks Kevin. Can’t say how much I appreciate good clear and honest content. Brilliant. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it
I use Kevin's presets because they are built from scratch creating profiles first in PS. Easy to use, fun and endlessly creative
Thank you so much, Anna.

Thanks, Jason. Glad you found it useful.
Great to watch the editing of a superb image Kevin. Thanks for sharing.
:-)
Love the photo Kevin , am doing much more B&W work lately and this is very helpful . Good luck with your Judo too 🙏
Thanks, Gary
Fascinating! Thanks, I appreciate it, you handle this so much better than I do while keeping it simple and easy, I'm so impressed! Cheers!
Thank you. I'm glad you found it useful.
I also have your presets This video gives me a wonderful insight and understanding of them and how they work/can be modified- thanks
Thanks, Ray.

I've only ever used Lightroom, and it's been excellent. The problem I usually see is people over-sharpening in Lightroom.

@@anthonytriana4209 Are you sure that it was natural live view and not dynamic range?
Congratulations on your Shodan!
Thank you so much. Not bad for a 50 year old man 🙂
@@kevin_mullinsYou are a baby Kevin!😊
Seriously Kevin, hats off to you on your Shodan, not an easy feat, even at a much younger age! Respect!!
@@kevin_mullins I am 60 now and got my Shodan in Kendo last year 😁
@@manojhanchate8686 Nice one. And congratulations :-)
@@kevin_mullins Thank you Kevin! I did some Judo in my teenage years - respect to you for your grit!
Great work 👌 have used capture one?
I have, but not much. I prefer Lightroom in almost all respects. Plus Lightroom supports propper colour lookup table profiles. Sadly C1 doesn't.
