He was not a good salesman I worked at the same company. This training was something we did often.
He is butchering the process and making it super weird and ineffective.
My wife role plays this better and she doesn’t work hvac she was just there while I perfected it.
This clown is using a script I helped alter and perfect and butchering it.
Ive known guys that do this for years. Its sad sometimes, their main goal is to upsell the customer to a bigger job even if its really not required, and they use these type of tactics. Usually care more for the bigger dollar and not the customers finance's. Ive seen alot of people get ripped off by some of these types of companies.

Plumbers are not sales men. We are here to solve problems not rob people for things they don’t need.
@@mobeoner100 when do people need something? Is it when it’s flooding your home? Is it when its warranty ends? Is it before it fails or when it starts falling apart? Do you preemptively recommend stuff to the customer?
It’s also sad to hear people not know their true value and what it actually costs to run even a basic business. Legit, licensed and insured

@@mobeoner100 exactly my point, you’ve been a hobby plumber subsistence living for 20 yrs and what do you have to show for it? It’s a business not a charity and you obviously don’t value yourself to charge enough or provide quality options. It’s easy to get hourly pay and be a broke fix handyman.

Formerly a new construction plumber of 5 years. Switched to service about 3 weeks ago, still a lot to learn for me. In construction it was me vs the plumbing system and rarely interacted with customers. Any advice for a young plumber starting in the service industry?
Specifically, what kind of questions would you ask about thier plumbing system? Just how long they have lived there and if they have had any plumbing issues in the past?

@BaitMyLine been a couple months now. Going well, seems like a lot more to the job, but less plumbing if that makes sense 🤣 definitely not in my comfort zone with it like I was in construction, but making more money so that is a plus. Still have much to learn. I'm out of Indiana, where are you at?

I have been in my own truck for the most part too, sometimes I have to call the boss to bail me out if it's something I don't know 😅 just finished up a $1293 ticket myself, reran an old cast iron drain line to a Lav, that was 100% full of scale. Keep on kickin ass my guy!
