    Sometimes sweat is a good thing… you know, like when you just crushed an amazing workout? That kind of sweat is definitely okay. But when your soap starts to sweat… not so much. Soap sweating happens when humectants in your soap attract moisture from the environment. It mostly happens in high glycerin soaps. In this video, we'll show you how to prevent your soap from sweating with four of our go-to tips from our in-house soap making experts!

    After I realize it’s sweating and wiped it, what can I do to prevent it from sweating again while they cure?
    I know I can’t put them in the fridge 😂 I wish!!! Would make my soap making life easier lol.

      Hi Stephanie! Great question! We recommend storing them with some silica beads in an air tight container to absorb any moisture :)

    Is it okay if the curring process is not finished yet, wrap the soap in plastic to avoid sweating

    Is there anything the soap can be wrapped in other than plastic to prevent sweating? Something a bit more eco... Would glassine bags work? Thanks very much.

      @@annekirrin9068 wax paper or reusable sandwich wrap is another option that you can use to wrap the soaps and secure with a sticker, tape, or tie with rope!

      @@makesyofficial great! Thank you so much! Lastly, would you kindly tell me which kind of plastic? Do stretch as seal work? Which one is in the video? :) where can I find them (which stores?)

      @@makesyofficial actually I might try the silica beads instead. Can I put the soap in the plastic bin with silica beads right after I take them out of the molds? And how long can it stay? Can I leave it in the whole time while it cures?

    • @makesyofficial
      @makesyofficial  2 роки тому +1

      @@becomingwise001 Yes :) that's great. You'll want to seal it airtight and yes leave it in while they cure!

      We recommend looking for formulas with below 10% glycerin!
