    Wow what a coincidence this popped up in my feed. Grandfather passed away Jan 2. Was not able to attend funeral. He was a legendary chess player in his community and am now teaching myself how to play to honor his legacy

    I started learning this because I remember my mom has a glass chess set and I was like I wonder how you play it and now I am learning so hopefully next time my best friend comes we can totally use it and because its glass we'll probably put some cool lights underneath😂

    My dad knows how to play chess he taught me how to play it . He always won when we play. But after sometime we get ties and then everytime we played I win over and over and over again but when I am tired he wins sometimes . After he lost every game he told that he is going to play with my mom because she doesn't no how to play it!!and it's an easy win for him but not long

    Don't think of the knight move like an " L" shape.
    Look at the squares in the rank and file next to you and the squares connected diagonal to those you can land. You can actually see two possible moves at once.
    Always remember that the Knight takes turns on the color it can land on.

    6:48 this is just trading queens. The king can take out the queen unless there is a rook behind you. If there is thats checkmate for them and you win

    1865 - my lichess rating, and btw the queen's gambit is one of the toughest openings in the world so I suggest trying the Italian, ruy lopes or the french defence first

    My reason to learn how to play chess was solely because of Code Geass 😂 I remember asking my teacher back in high school to teach me how to play chess. We played and played. I got beaten up by him and my classmates over and over again. Until after a few weeks, I've come to check my teacher without knowing it 😂 My classmate who used to beat me at the start wasn't able to win over me in few days time 😂

    Another tip if the enemy only have 1 more piece and not the queen/rook then leave it be obly if you have queen and 2 rooks you can trap them right away

    There are 3 ways of playing chess according to me. 1 is simply defending till your opponent has no pieces. 2 is attacking while defending the king. And 3 is just balanced between the 2s

    Once wgen i play chess with my friend there were the kings only. My friend chased me around and she won because i moved it in a place where i didn't think twice. Bty i am learning a lot more now.
