- Dr. Mike Pound of Executive Express Chiropractic in San Francisco demonstrates the use of a Tempur-Pedic Neck Pillow for side sleepers. Cervical pillows when used properly help to nurture and support the cervical spine during sleep. Executive Express Chiropractic is a distributor for the full line of Tempur-Pedic Neck Pillows.

legend says he is still lying on that soft pillow
Thank you for the video. My husband has been bugging me for months to find out if he is sleeping on his Tempur-Pedic Neck Pillow correctly. Now I see he has his shoulders backward. This information has really helped him and now he not only has no neck pain but his headaches are gone, he does not snore, and he no longer rolls over in the night (usually punching me in the process). Thanks again! Now I can sleep through the night as well.
Glad to hear! I now have a channel dedicated to more info like this: ua-cam.com/channels/-Zx6QFW_W9NvhYrW9nX3dg.html?
Loved every second.
Thank you so much for this! What density of foam do you recommend?
Thank you so much for showing this video! I have one of these pillow but was unclear how to actually position it. :)
Good video, thanks!
Thanx for the video!!
Thank you!
Very useful. Thanks
We’re using the tempur pedic for more than 10 years bed, bedsheets, pillow cover, blanket and pillow and we order all the different kind pillow this year but the quality of the memory foam are not as good 10 years ago my husband he still using the old pillow . The quality of the memory foam before is a lot better .
wow, nice info.
I was skeptical at first when my wife bought me one. I had muscle spasms in my neck as well as no curve in my neck. But this really works.
So was I. I have a similar pillow, but I think a different brand. It's much better than my old pillow in any sleeping position, so I have more options now. That can be good, but it also means I'm struggling to pick that perfect position out of so many choices.
I have a contour memory foam pillow and that seems to work well in a variety of sleeping positions. The contour doesn't seem to interfere, because the memory foam will give under pressure and adjusts itself anyway. It works for you when you need the support, but it doesn't work against you when you don't. At least that's been my experience with it.
A cervical pillow is extremely beneficial for good neck posture. right?
omgosh I've been sleeping on the wrong side all this time!
+Ari Aula Arikae yes i was sleeping on the lower end of the pillow!
So do I ...lmao, no wonder keep getting pin and needle
Lol same 😂😂😂
Me 2
Same here.
i'm suffering from cervial spondylitis and using this pillow. could you let me know if i can play squash or do joggin.
thanks
What if you sleep on your back as well.
Which side if you are sleeping on your back?
I understand that these pillows are supposed to be good but I just find them to be way too low
Try AlignaPillow! Used by Strongmen.
what if i sleep on my back, should i sleep with the lower end under my neck?
yes!
I used the higher side towards my neck. Broke my neck. Now I'm sitting with a severe neck pain.
we also use hard pillow
What about a pillow to support that forearm on the end of the arm you're sleeping on? I use a steep wedge for my arm and a supportive flat wedge for my knees. My cervical pillow rests on top of a folded "riser" towel to get it at the right height. My bed looks more like a nest than a bed.
but I'll cut off my blood circulation in my arm if I sleep sideways.
To jump into a commercial as to what brand to buy seems premature. I found other experts describe that each individual needs to customize his or her pillow to the particulars of his/her physiology. This would mean build, shoulder and neck mass, etc. That important factors to consider is alignment in a relaxed position of neck to shoulder and also angle of the head to shoulder when resting on the pillow, etc., one video stated that one has to custom build a pillow to fit his measurement.
What if I put the smaller part of the pillow under my neck when I sleep?
if you sleep on your back that's fine!
Personally I like a fiber filled pillow - easier to get used to and doesn't smell either.
I'm having mild disc bulge C5-6. is it treatable...??
Plz reply
Iam also suffering similar to you. Please suggest me how can I do
My neck still hurts from this pillow. Now I see why I slept on it using the wrong side. I will try the higher side.
Same. Same
I have been sleeping with the pillow the other way for months ............
Me too lol. And sometimes I change it because it's pretty stiff and foamy.. It's some fake ass shit quality :))
Me too! I feel pretty dumb now.
Don't worry, we all do the same thing...lmao, just realize this today
Lol
Samesies 😶 years actually
Do you have to sleep on the thick side if you sleep on your back?
@kenny mills is wrong, sleeping on your back is actually the worst position. For one it puts more strain on your spine, but the more concerning part is that your blood pressure increases due to the position of the heart in your chest, it has to pump harder as a result. Side sleeping is best for your neck and spine, which is why most people sleep on their side most of the night.
However, a good range of positions can be used initially before falling asleep. If you have memory foam mattress or pad you can start on your back for 10 minutes, if it hurts toou much try bringing your knees up.
Then sleep on your chest in falcon position, feels nice as it's also the best position for your heart, easiest to pump. If you're ever getting chest pain or anxiety, lay on your stomach for a while, your chest will feel warm and soothed, and since it's easier for heart to pump in this position, your blood pressure will decrease. Finally you can let your body decide naturally what position it wants after that, but most choose side.
Ryan James he didn't say on yourback was the worst position he said the side position was the best
Where do I purchase one of these pillows?
+Lynda Owens Overstock.com carries them!
Ok! Thank u!
Lynda Owens life
Yeah ok. Like I'm going to stay in the optimal sleep position for 8 hours. That's the issue with these pillows. Move around too much and they are actually worse than a regular one because of the contours. I know from experience.
I agree
The neck is at an awkward angle, leaning over
WHAT IS THE SPECIALTY OF THIS PILLOW? AND WARRANTY.
I laughed when I read your comment, but I regretted after thinking about the hell you must have been through.
i searched for this lol
I have a short neck, so this would be high for me, I think.
Lol short neck
This looks uncomfortable as hell.
Jesus! i have been using mine the wrong way around!
Ughhhhhhhhh I've been sleeping on the smaller side for months. Lol
Same
@@antonyvo4president I find it disturbing to sleep like he shows it
@@rustygtwoguns my sleep has improved after I switched back to using the larger contour
Said sleeping on your side was the best? That's incorrect. Sleeping on your back with your head raised slightly and feet raised a lot puts you in a "zero gravity" position and your weight is evenly distributed
Exactly
Argh I have also apparently been sleeping on my contoured pillow backwards as well....neck pain is so horrible, I don't recommend it.

It costs nothing to try as you can get a refund if it does not work out for you. But don't remove the plastic cover until you're sure if it works out or not.
lol i used it wrong my whole life
