  • At Mini Kabob, in the Armenian neighborhood of Glendale, Los Angeles, Armen and his family have been serving up mini kabobs to hungry loyal customers for more than thirty years! Every morning they start whipping together fresh ingredients - fresh potatoes, red ripe tomatoes, and grandma’s special hummus recipe. We took a trip to this local attraction to witness their juicy skewers on the flaming grill and hear more about their generational story.

I went there a few years ago, and I love how Armen talks to the customer in such a friendly, interactive way. We had such a great conversation about food, culture, etc. The food is amazing and really filling, so be prepared to be stuffed full.

I've lived in Glendale for years, and I never knew about this place, what he said is true, there's so many kebab places in Glendale and a lot of them do it for the money and not the love, the food is substandard, so you just stick with the ones you know like Raffi's.
Also, some (not all) are somewhat rude (don't speak much, stare and act like they're doing you a favor) even though you're spending money in their place. But I like his demeanor, and the way he greeted his non-Armenian customers. That shit goes a long way and makes people want to return to your establishment.
I've had 2 friends that live outside of Glendale ask me about this place, so I'll be be checking it out this week for sure 🙌🏾🇦🇲

TIL "kabob" is apparently the US English spelling of "kebab."
I was born in the US. I've lived in the US my entire life. I've never seen "kabob" before. What is this witchery.

Apparently, arguing over the spelling of this word is a really big thing on the internet. Either way, they are delicious. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

@@Surferess Indeed they are delicious. I don't care how anyone wants to spell it, I've just never in my life seen "kabob." lol
