Although it’s a little bit too literal, she made the sentence concise enough for foreigners to try and pronounce 👍 Although it’s obvious that the Malaysian girl doesn’t speak Malay fluently and her translation doesn’t really make sense, but her Malay is actually above average considering she’s a Chinese Malaysian and she was able to make the sentence simple enough for him to sing 👏
Her translation doesn’t make sense? It actually does make sense in the Malay language, as she was translating the overall context & meaning of that particular song lyric, instead of just doing a direct translation word for word. You don’t even know her IRL to assume she’s not fluent in BM. No need to be so judgmental every time a Malaysian is on any show like this.

Heavenly, smooth like honey into my ears and so suitable with ballads especially for Kdrama OST~ 🫶🏻 Unfortunately, we can’t make out a single Vietnamese word from his singing trial that incorporated all 4 Asian languages into this song even though his first try to read that Vietnamese sentence was pretty okay. 🥹 The Vietnamese girl was just being very nice and encouraging here to not tell everyone that truth I think. But we all know from the beginning it will be very hard for him to get this right in Vietnamese, not really just because of his ability to pronounce Vietnamese in a short time, but also because the tones of Vietnamese translation she wrote there clearly couldn’t fit into the melody of that verse. When writing lyrics in Vietnamese for a readymade melody, it’s very very important to find and arrange the words and their tones to fit as best as possible with the music while still trying to keep the tones of the words as well as keeping the meanings of the lyrics close to the original language as possible (or as close to the true message you want to express if you are writing lyrics for your own song instead of translating someone’s lyrics). It’s quite difficult, but it can be done if you’re a good musician/lyricist and know lots of vocabs in that language. So yeah, too bad the Vietnamese part was totally off but I can’t blame him nor her (nor whoever translated that into Vietnamese for her to teach him). Just one thing I hope to clarify about Vietnamese language: no, we don’t actually take the tones out of most words when singing in Vietnamese, that part she said is not correct! 😅

Bahasa Indonesia terlihat lebih indah anggun daripada bahasa melayu malasia. Bahasa Indonesia terlihat lebih Universal dan sepadan selain konteksnya luas dan mudah diterima oleh semua Orang Bahasa Indonesia lebih Enak didengar ketika membuat Lagu ketimbang lagu melayu malasia ,,, sedangkan bahasa melayu bahasanya terbatas dari segi pengayaan kurang sehingga cenderung mengambil kosakata dari British. 😊
