    Bad Alternator not charging the battery should be around 14v running.

    I have 2009 Chev. malibu and I had the same problem.I found out that there is no transmission oil. I put original transmission oil and i drove 30 minutes around and now the car is running normal. Check your transmission oil, that could be the problem. I hope this helps.
    good luck

    Mine was shooting the throttle body and gas pedal sensor codes, it was a low oil level after spending a few hundred on replacing those sensors

    Update????????? The dreaded Reduce Power mode is usually attributed to the Pedal Position Sensor failing. There are some other random vids saying antifreeze, fuses, throttle body/sensor....But the majority of victims seem to be set on the PPS.

      Would it throw a code for the pedal position sensor ? Thanks in advance

      @jacobmartinez4892 I no longer own the Malibu, but I believe it did not throw a PPS code on my shitty Code Reader.
      However my mechanic buddy said his expensive Snap-On reader would pick up the PPS code (IF) it threw one.
      My memory so bad but honestly I think I topped off my antifreeze and it no longer went into RP mode

    Mines doing the same thing I have the exact same car I thought it was the battery but I bought a new battery and it wasn’t working so now I thinks it’s the alternator

    My 2008 ltz alternator started to make a humming noise while on highway, got off exit, seen smoke coming out , $450 later still running like champ, bought it in 2018 with 50,000 miles, now with 125,000 miles can’t give it up

      Thats what i thought to why is it green

    • @vinsel
      @vinsel  2 роки тому

      The color of healthy engine coolant is green (for ethylene glycol) or orange (for Dexcool). A rusty color indicates that the rust inhibitor in the coolant has broken down and it can no longer control rust and scale buildup.
