We need a mod for relocating animals. Makes sense you could relocate them. Not sure how it could be implemented though, but it would be cool. Maybe a builder charge and then it highlights valid tiles in that city and you choose one like placing a district.

Seem to remember it spawning close to a 1 tile island in one game (totally not worth it), and a 3 tile island in another game (partially worth it). It was still a rough city given lack of “fish” tiles to bump housing. Super Civs mod - Aquaman (and other aquatic variants) are the only real viable options for capitalizing on BT given ability to place various districts in coastal tiles. It’s a pretty cool mod worth checking out with some really whacky Civs.
I won my first deity game with Perikles a few days ago. Even tough the Culture Victory was not the best one and I still made mistakes, it was a really good feeling and I was a little proud (got 4 achievments out of this). Even tough I don't fully understand the tourism game mechanic because it doesn't make sense to me in some cases (I'm still confused how to steal tourists effectively from the AI). But I just want so say thank you for all your Civ VI vids, they really helped me improving my gameplay so incredibly much although I'm by far not even half as good as you, but that's ok, I prefer a chilled mistake forgiving game on Emperor most of the times. =) Greetings from Germany
Culture victory mechanics are hard to understand imo. I have over 500 hours in this game and I STILL don't fully understand them. The wiki and some trial and error should teach you thins you might not know. I'm sure players with thousands of hours still have some things to learn.
Tourism is generated per the tiles that can and then modified by everything else. Even appeal. Wonder tiles etc. will generate their own tourism. When you send rock bands to perform, the mechanic does not affect the production of tourism. You don't damage your opponent's ability to generate tourism. You can only do that by attacking their lands(spies included). Rather, rock bands advance your Civ specific total based on certain values. Just like syphoning gold with spies. The difference is when the max amount of tourists have been earned from an area for now. You aren't actually getting much out of repeated performances in the same city over and over again unless you're loyalty bombing them. You're much better off checking the progress screen after performances and noting how much you still need from who, going for the biggest one first.
You just need to not neglect science(to unlock certain wonders), start and maintain a religion and you'll beat any Civ that rushes culture. Just need to build Eiffel, Redentor, some resorts and... wait, really. Late game Merchants can give you a boost from Campuses and Industrial Zones. Rock Bands can speed it up but, they aren't really necessary. If you get bored, conquer a city with the most wonders/districts from the biggest tourism outputter. That'll always put the finisher on it. Works well enough for me that I never have to use tourism from trade routes or policy cards. It's never been necessary.
Those horses next to capital are exactly the reason why there ought to be a mod that makes ALL resources/features harvestable (I think ol' Civ5 even had a mod that allowed you to herd/pick up horses/cattle/sheep and drop them down on another tile). Especially since horses has literally no value in the latter half of the game, even though they're uber strong early.

Bermuda Triangle. That natural wonder that 90% time sends my ships to the northern/southern edge of the map and traps them forever between said edge and ice terrain. 😭
Got a proposition for any Modders out there. Know that feeling when a resource pops up JUST outside of your borders and you can't get it? What if Builders worked OUTSIDE of your civilization? This requires 3 build charges, and the builder changes into a (Pre-industrial Wagon Train, or Post Industrial Flatbed truck) They work like Traders, however, they will go back and forth from the resource to your cities. Although you cannot swap resources with this unit, you can switch supply city as long as the destination is accessible. The resource can be taken over by hostile Civs, and the wagon can be captured and diverted to another Civ. If captured while moving Oil for example, the capturing Civ may get the tech boost for harvesting the resource. The attack strat would be to hide near the resource for the wagon to arrive and capture both in one turn as Resources do Not clear the fog of war.
Its kinda late for this but: there would have been some serious arguments for a turn 2 settle on the other side of the river. you loose one 5 science bermuda tile and gain a better acropolis and - more important - 2 crap tiles for your future mausoleum. thats a pretty good trade. especially as you trade a resource (science) of which you have more than enough to gain all other resources of which you dont have so much (culture from better acropolis, food & gold for the crab tiles). small addition: you gain access to a compleet flooded farm triangle in case the fisheries are not enough

I dunno, those Bermuda tiles strike me as a double-edged sword. Without a ton of growth in your capitol, I don't see you getting that much use out of them.

I once managed to found a city that could work some Bermuda tiles, without the mod, but I don't think i got to 6 tiles, and I don't think it was my capital. Maybe my 2nd or 3rd city.
It seems like your UI mod pack is not up to date with what you are using ingame. "Happiness and growth indicators" for instance is missing. Would be neat if you could update them.
Owls of Minerva, Continents + Islands, Barbarian Camps, + Starting with Max City States = OP for any civ. Just spam Harbors, Commercial Hubs, and Campuses. Being Suzerain of every City-State is easy to do and it makes every victory type much easier to do.
This was exactly the inspiration I needed to play a new game of civ 6 ... Last one I finished was almost a month ago, and I got civved-out by it (tried to maximize my economy as Spain with their crazy trade route bonuses ... also forgot how good missions are ... like ... omg, they're now my favorite unique improvement!) Anyway, as do most of my "for fun" games where I don't go for any type of victory condition, I eventually won culture at like turn 330 because it's just King difficulty lol. But now I gotta get back to my usual locust-like build, just don't know who to play as TLDR: who cares? (Not who cares about this potato video! Who cares if you didn't want to read a wall of text? Mind your own business!) Otherwise, thanks for reading ... And suggestions for leader/civ are welcome ofc!
Oh, I should've noted I only have the first expansion. I actually picked Gorgo because I love extra policy slots and the extra culture from (barb) unit kills really helps me speed up the early game. Add in the fact that since I'm only on rise and fall expansion so I still have God of the Harvest pantheon ...... I'm up to 26 cities now on turn ~150 but now I can't buy settlers with faith any more so I'll probably have like 10k faith before too long
I actually have had a game with only UI mods, no map changes, where Bermuda Triangle spawned within range of land. Got a decent number of 10 science tiles from that, immediately rushed a settler even though it was on a different continent and infested with barbarians

Why did you settle on the stone? Wasn't the place 1 up/left way better? Adjacent to a hill, and would give the same 2 food/1 prod. AND you could harvest the stone...? And a lot more coastal tiles?

Something potato didn't talk about (so maybe wasn't taking into consideration) was the fact that realistically, was he ever going to be working more than 4 Bermuda tiles at once? I find it hard to believe, and will DEFINITELY be taking notes in the upcoming videos in this series, to see if and when and how often he works multiple Bermuda tiles. I'd bet that realistically speaking, since it's not likely you'll be working so many food-negative tiles, that you may be right to believe in the settlement spot you mention. I wouldn't call it way better, but that could be up to interpretation and difference in priorities.
You've got a strong science or culture game ahead of you. Kilwa is your most important target early. Go hard on culture, which you are naturally going to do anyways as Pericles with Owls, and International Space Station card from Globalization will finish up your science. Use Reyna's contractor and the insane amount of gold you should have from all those trade routes to buy Spaceports. This game will practically play itself! The one thing to keep an eye on is amenities. You are going to have some large cities, and you'll want them large to support all the districts you are going to want (harbor, CH, Acropolis, Campus). Snagging a well placed Colosseum early could make a huge difference in this game.
It is possible for the bermuda triangle to spawn close enough to land without that mod. Its even possible for your start settler to spawn next to it, 1/1000ish odds maybe?

Potato, I have a question: why didn't you buy the 10 science 1 food tile at turn 9 at 8:25? When you had 50 gold, and it was worth 50 gold. at 7:00 you decided to rushed harbor game saying you were gonna work that tile, but then even by turn 21 you still had not worked that 10 science tile, you were unlocking celestial navigation with 4 science per turn, with 31 turns to unlock celestial navigation.

I watched a series where you had the camera over the minimap. It was a bit weird. Then I watched 2 or 3 where you didn't have a camera at all and it was even worse. Now the camera placement is perfect.

I haven't played Civ 6 in over a year, but when the Bermuda Triangle came out, I remember rerolling starts for probably 3 days straight to try and get a spawn next to Bermuda Triangle. I eventually got it but I would've loved to know there was a mod to save me time.

I've played Civ 6 since release and I still don't understand tourism mate.
I recommend sukritact's tourism overview. very simple and easy to understand imo.

I like to use 1-2 builder charges for a farm or two if I get one from hut. I feel the extra housing helps a lot getting a city off the ground.

How did you get a governor title on turn 1? Is that part of the secret societies game mode? I don't have that one installed (playing on console).
You've got a strong science or culture game ahead of you. Kilwa is your most important target early. Go hard on culture, which you are naturally going to do anyways as Pericles with Owls, and International Space Station card from Globalization will finish up your science. Use Reyna's contractor and the insane amount of gold you should have from all those trade routes to buy Spaceports. This game will practically play itself!
The one thing to keep an eye on is amenities. You are going to have some large cities, and you'll want them large to support all the districts you are going to want (harbor, CH, Acropolis, Campus). Snagging a well placed Colosseum early could make a huge difference in this game.
Yeah, Kilwa is strong with Pericles anyway given his city-state focus. All those scientific city states you ran into early kind of cements it.
Owls of Minerva fits so well for Pericles greece, because Athens symbol was a owl iirc XD
It is possible for the bermuda triangle to spawn close enough to land without that mod. Its even possible for your start settler to spawn next to it, 1/1000ish odds maybe?

Potato, I have a question: why didn't you buy the 10 science 1 food tile at turn 9 at 8:25? When you had 50 gold, and it was worth 50 gold. at 7:00 you decided to rushed harbor game saying you were gonna work that tile, but then even by turn 21 you still had not worked that 10 science tile, you were unlocking celestial navigation with 4 science per turn, with 31 turns to unlock celestial navigation.

I watched a series where you had the camera over the minimap. It was a bit weird. Then I watched 2 or 3 where you didn't have a camera at all and it was even worse. Now the camera placement is perfect.

I haven't played Civ 6 in over a year, but when the Bermuda Triangle came out, I remember rerolling starts for probably 3 days straight to try and get a spawn next to Bermuda Triangle. I eventually got it but I would've loved to know there was a mod to save me time.

This was either a viking or on of the Kings men during the viking invasion before or after the danelaw was established. I can't remember the exact date. Should have been in Essex roughly where the battle took place. Maybe further north
