This is the first video I've seen from you and I have to say I love your style, I mean those little touches like making a stop-motion with the components to announce numbers and even better than that, the short unboxing at the beginning of each section. kudos!
So many good options out there, it's tough to say "Hey, you missed this" because what are you going to leave off? Another Uwe Rosenberg game that I think is worthy of consideration is .... no, not A Feast For Odin. I think Hallertau is overlooked. Lots of ways to score points with so many cards so lots of replayability, decisions about when to use extra workers, the planting and harvest cycle and of course the ultimate goal of moving your house. By the way, thank you for picking Dune: Imperium above Lost Ruins of Arnak and a special thank you for disliking the Everdell Tree!
Haha there really is so many good worker placement games for sure, you know I’ve had Hallertau sitting on my shelf unplayed for the last year and a half I’ll definitely have to try it soon, thanks for the recommendation. Glad to hear you share a love for Dune imperium :)
Excellent list. Can’t argue with any of your selections. Fun video to watch as well. Great translations…reminds me of Dice Tower but better! I like guessing what your next game was based on the components you used in the numbering. Well done! Please do more Top 10 lists in the future!
Lost Ruins of Arnak - at first I was bummed only 2 workers to place. But after playing a ton, I realized I am taking more actions without a worker. Needless to say, the more I play that game, the more I like it! And SO much content in just the base game! Replayability - through the roof!!! Plus all the stuff you get in the box... for $40?🤯
Glad to hear you like Arnak, that makes sense for sure the more you play it the better you get at stringing combos together, it definitely is a fantastic value for sure and I’ve heard only great things about the expansions.
Dune Imperium is an amazing game in that it’s easy to learn but there’s so much nuance and variation to the game that makes it fun to play every time. I’m excited for the next expansion, Bloodlines, to see what it brings.
DI is just an amazing. Played it last night and its just such a dramatic nail biter. The mechanics are smooth and it flows quickly and engagingly. Love it. My favourite game atm
Looks like you got the Mammoth figure for Endless Winter! Lucky duck!! BTW, I really like the worker placement in that. So cool that spots don't get blocked but if you're first you get a little something extra.
Haha I found it for only 4$ I couldn’t turn down a deal like that lol. Glad to hear you like the worker placement in this one it definitely is less stressful than others since you can’t get blocked.
Great video! Love Dune Imperium so so much. Just a recommendation for future videos, keeping the name of the game or the box cover or something like that at the bottom of the screen while youre talking about it is very helpful!
Thanks, glad to hear you liked dune as well. Thanks for the recommendation I was planning to do that on this one but totally forgot I’ll be sure to on future videos!
Great list ! I love worker placement games and there's quite a big overlap with my own favourite games. It seems I have to look at Endless Winter in more detail. Also: would be keen to get your views on "Scarface 1920" - if you have played it yet. Great worker placement game with an outstanding implementation of the theme. It is just so much fun to play it.
Thanks, glad you liked it, yea definitely check it out it’s nice that it’s more affordable too so if you don’t like it it’s not quite as bad. I haven’t played scarface 1920 I’ll definitely look into that one that sounds fun thanks for the recommendation :)
I'm a big fan of Dune Imperium too. Not sure if you've played Caverna yet, but if you like Agricola you may like Caverna. I like it a little better than Agricola. Also, the Vahalla expansion makes Champions of Midgard one of my favorite worker placement games. Thanks for the video.
Glad to hear you liked Dune as well, I haven’t yet it’s high on my list of ones to buy though. Ive heard that expansion is really good I’ll definitely have to try it thanks Mark.
I'm not sure if it's a good or bad sign, but the only one I *don't* have is your number 5. 😅😅 I just picked up Flame craft tonight. I love Architects but I'd personally add Raiders of the North Sea to the list. Regardless, that's a great list of must-have wp games!
Definitely a bad sign you should have all 10 😂 seriously though that’s pretty awesome we must have similar tastes. Flamecraft is another fun one, I haven’t tried raiders of the North Sea yet I did really enjoy raiders of Scythia though. I’ll have to try that one too thanks for the recommendation and for watching :)
@@fatherofgames9239 People say that if you have the one Raiders, you don't need the other. RotNS really shines when you have all the expansions. I'll see about getting the missing game 😉 Hahaha I'm trying to avoid games with miniatures as I'm waiting on two big games (Nova Aetas: Renaissance/Black Rose Wats Rebirth) which have enough minis for me to swim in. 😅
@@MikeMcCraith that definitely makes sense it does seem like Scythia is just a remastered version of raiders I’ll definitely have to try raiders with the expansions! Haha fair enough definitely no shortage of minis with those for sure, then there’s always the constant need to pain them too lol
Caverna definitely is a lot of fun, I personally prefer Agricola because of the cards and it’s was a little more punishing, but they’re definitely both fantastic.
I’ve been looking at Dwelling of Eldervale for a while but man is the price steep! $100 for the base game + $20 for shipping! I’m good on that I think, $120 for a game I’m not sure i’ll absolutely love. I think i’ll wait for andromeda’s edge at retail. Also Dune is my favorite as well! How do you like Age of Artisans for Architects? Also have you ever played it with 6? Hard to find a medium weight euro that plays well at that player count.
That’s understandable for sure, you get quite a lot for what you pay for but I guess that wouldn’t matter if you don’t end up liking the game. Dune is so fantastic eh, I’ve only played Architects up to 4 most of my friends don’t like board games so I typically don’t get many games to a higher player count than that I’m sure it wouldn’t be too bad at 6 though. I haven’t had a chance to try the age of artisans expansion yet I read through the rules but haven’t gotten it to the table just yet.
I’ve been wanting to try a feast for Odin for a while, paladins I thought was just okay but I think I just need to play it more and I’ll definitely add the others to my wish list, thanks so much for the recommendations :).
Somehow people don't really talk about Istanbul a lot these days - but still one of my favourites ! In particular with the Big Box and all the expansions. It is just so quick and so much fun to play !
The box isn’t completely square they only seem to fit in one way with them all side by side, there is about a half inch of box lift but it’s the best I’ve been able to figure out without buying a new insert.
@@fatherofgames9239 thanks! I will have to try that out. Also, just found your page and I'm liking what I see so far. You have gotten a new sub today! Keep up the great work!
I personally mostly just play this competitive, the coop mode is quite good though while definitely quite difficult as well, the solo mode is okay but definitely not my favourite way to play. I feel the game plays best at 3-4 players.

That stop motion is time consuming. Well done. Subbed in Nova Scotia

The Great Wall is in my top 5 all-time. LOVE that game.
Glad to hear you like it it definitely is a good one
My top 5
1° DUNE IMPERIUM
2° Teotihuacan
3° Everdell
4° Champions of midgard
5° Underwater Cities
That’s a solid list. I really want to try underwater cities sometime.
Hope you’re keeping well! 👀 wide open till next video.
I agree with most of your list, but I would have to put Stone Age on there for me
Thanks for the recommendation I’ll definitely have to try that one!

Your boardgame taste aligns with mine. Subscribing to get quality recommendations!
Hey thanks so much I appreciate that :)
Your box organization makes me happy. Haha. Could we consider Ark Nova a half worker placement game? 🤔
Haha thanks :), hmm maybe that might be a bit of a stretch though lol
good list
Thanks 🙏
Agricola is great, but Caverna is just... greater. It's like Agricola 2.0. Bigger, better and more fun to play.
Caverna definitely is a lot of fun, I personally prefer Agricola because of the cards and it’s was a little more punishing, but they’re definitely both fantastic.
I disagree. Agrícola is much, much better, and tighter.

Love Dune Imperium. Need to show some love for Lords of Waterdeep though
Lords of waterdeep was definitely a lot of fun, not one of my favourites but still a great game
Architects of the West Kingdom is set thousands of years ago... funny ;)
Haha it’s been in development since 850 AD
A Feast for Odin, Paladins of the West Kingdom, Rajas of the Ganges, Teotihuacan, and to an extent Istanbul are among the best.
I’ve been wanting to try a feast for Odin for a while, paladins I thought was just okay but I think I just need to play it more and I’ll definitely add the others to my wish list, thanks so much for the recommendations :).

No Lords of Waterdeep?
Lol that’s number 11
Thoughts on Gentes?
To be honest I haven’t even heard of that one I’ll have to look into it.
Funfact:
‚location’ word counter: 61 🤭
Hahaha oh is that all? 😂
