To everyone saying it’s too fast, you can change the playback speed, three dots in the top right will open settings for the video and you can slow or speed individual videos, it helps
Great tip! Thanks for sharing!
Tamara A thank you so much I didn’t know that. Really helpful
Thank you...not that the speeds of video bothered me, but great to know!
Thanks Tamara. Brilliant tip!
It's not that the video is to slow, it's that my hands and comprehension are too slow lol. But I just hit pause and play back.
Hello, thank you for showing me this. My grandmother has showed me how to make necklaces and I am 13 and she told me about weaving so I thought it would look pretty. It's beautiful!!!
Wonderful tutorial! No extra confusion or running on n on with irrelevant information....I'm very happy with the way you teach! Definitely following and looking forward to learning more!!!THANKS SO MUCH!
I'm late to the game but throughly enjoyed the detailed information on all of these methods. Thank you! 8-)
Sometimes i find it difficult to start my weaves... The way you added each wire into it definitely helps me. Thanks for sharing and teaching your talent with us :)
Ah, sometimes its the little tricks! Thank you!
Awesome video...I just started wire/jewelry design and I have had positive feedback but my weaving was sorely lacking this video was a huge help. Thank you!!
Thank you for this. Some channels want to show fancy tricks and make themselves look slick, but just give me simple instructions because I'm not trying to impress anyone.
Thank you for this. It’s so much easier when you add wires vs trying to hold at all the same time for starting so much easier
I might have to learn how to be a lefty! 😁. Thank you for your excellently clear instructions! You’re awesome! 💗
What a good quality in your explanations,a big thanks for sharing ,showing and telling us what and how 🤩🌟🙏👏
That last weave is very pretty.
Wow! So glad I watched this ! Thank you for sharing all your helpful videos. I can't wait to do these.
At last !! a clear view of just how you are wrapping the wires, I'm a beginner and so want to learn this, THANK YOU ♥
You're welcome! I'm glad you like the video. It can be difficult to show to camera how to wrap the wires in the middle of a project so these videos are a lot easier to concentrate on the weaves themselves.
Thank you Lilly I have tried and failed several times and I am ready to try again and I have a great feeling with your help I might just get it right hopefully I’m not stressing over it though I have only been doing this jewelry making for about a month going into my 5th week and only learning through tutorials and I really appreciate it! Yours and MCA are so far my favorites equally. God loves you Happy Easter
please never delete this
I’m just starting to wire weave and this is AMAZING! Thank you!
You're so welcome! I'm glad it's helpful. Enjoy your journey with wire! 😊
@@LilyTree Absolutely! 😍 Also question for you! When using sterling for these wraps do you use 1/2 hard or soft wire for both the wrapping and base wire? Thank you!
Personally, I almost always use dead soft. This, for me, makes shaping easy, and if I need it to be firmer for weaving onto it is easy to work harden with a rawhide mallet. For the weaving wire, I'd always start with dead soft, it will work-harden a bit as you go. I did try using half-hard once, and it was tough going! 😁
So glad I ran across your channel! (Subbed!) Well exhibited and explained! Thanks so much! I also am very thankful for your tuts on tools, etc!
Thank you so much , you explain the technique very well , I'm going to give some different wire weaving ago for my next pendant. 🙏
Your tutorials and jewellery are amazing thank you for sharing your talent with us so we can learn and improve our skills too..❤
Thank you. Plan on watching all your videos and hope to try it.
Oooh! Good teacher! Good info!!! Nice job, Lady!!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. I look forward to trying these weaves
Great tutorial!! Very easy to comprehend and at a nice pace. Can't wait to learn more!
Thank you!
lots of good information and difference weaves, thanks again for sharing
Thank you and you're welcome!
You make it look so simple! Thank you for the video.
Thank you and you're welcome!
Brilliant video thank you, very informative and easy to follow for a newbie 👍🏻😊
Excellent job
Very helpful tutorial
This is so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!!
Typical lengths of frame wires for X please?
Delightfully neat!
Is the Cu annealed?
Great tutorial. My question is what king of wire do you use and what is the gauge for the one you call the frame wire? Thank you!
Thank you so much. I appreciate your help♥️♥️♥️
Wonderful tutorials! Thanks for sharing.
This was incredibly helpful!! Gorgeous work!!!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you best video I've seen yet!
I learn so much from you!! Thank You!!!
Awesome tutorial thank you 😊 you’re very talented
Thank you ! Very encouraging for a novice like me.
video molto istruttivo.vederti lavorare sembra così semplice....
What brand wire do you use it looks so smooth
Great video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome Lilly
Thank you💚
have you got a tutorial on how to hide the ends or what you do with them?
What gage are the wires? Specifically the wrapping wire?
Ma'am Can you please suggest any company/ brand for the wire?
Very interesting, I love❤ your work.
I don't understand what I'm seeing; are those stones drilled?
Beautiful! I got a book as a present for this work, but its better when you see it been done😀 Which gauge you use for weaving 28g? And 20g for the copper strips?
Hello. Your tutorials are very easy too follow.
Have you been on jewellery maker, I feel like I have seen you before lol..
Thanks
Wow!!! Great tut!! Thanks 🥳
Thank you a lot❤
What gauge of wire are U using????
Suggested 1.0mm & 0.4mm (18g & 26g) wires
Yes, Nikki is right - the samples I made in this video used 1mm (18 gauge) frame wires and 0.4mm (26 gauge) weaving wire. But you can alter these to suit your project.
Hi, does anyone know where to buy good quality copper wire in the UK? Thank you
what gauge wires are you
using for this??
Just curious do you have to complete the weave before forming the curves?
You can curve it as you go too. If you’re doing a tight turn though, your base wires will be in the way of the previous weaving, so just take your time moving the wire where it needs to go, and push the weaves together.
and the patina to oxidize the copper, to give an antique effect. does not affect the stone? I'm surprised you don't say anything.
I really love your worked, and in fact, have subscribed to your channel. Can you tell me though, how do you care for the copper wire, i.e., to prevent stripping, change in colour, etc.?
I struggle with wire weaving...I attribute it to the work hardening of the wire which causes me to grip the frame wires tightly which ultimately causes them to bend and more...so what am I missing...when I watch you weave you effortlessly complete your weaves...and of course they are prefect...I'm baffled...and I often hear it requires practice...I appreciate this comment...but it offers no insight for me to process...is there anything u can share that will help act as a marker on the road to the perfect weave? My wire doesn't resemble fhe motion in your demonstration...HELP...lol!
It is simply loosening your grip/tension on the wire and laying the wire where you want it to go and not pulling hard.
Great succinct tutorial; it may be my sound, but the audio sounds like its been delivered through an aeroplane audio system, turning on and off ea time you speak. It began to drive me nuts!
Sorry about that. This is one of my early tutorials, you'll be pleased to know that I've learnt a lot more and improved my audio since then! It is on the video, but your audio system might amplify it a bit. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it to 'fix' the uploaded video.
Lily-Tree
How nice of you to reply. I will certainly check out the later vids and thereby save my sanity while learning to wrap wire ╮ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ╭
@Lily-Tree are you left handed or right handed? I struggle so much with this but maybe it's cause I've been holding it wrong. I just feel like I can't hold everything and wrap while keeping it looking nice.
Hi, thanks for this tutorial. what gauge should the main wires be?
You can choose your base wire gauge and then use a thinner wire (generally 6 gauges smaller) for weaving.
Lovely! And your instruction is excellent! ❤
Love your videos. Can I just ask how you anchor the wires at the start and finish
Thank you Lisa! I just wrap the weaving wire three times around one base wire, both at the start and finish. I find this gives a solid enough anchor both whilst weaving and for the finished piece.
I love your accent 😩
OMG I hope you do another one of these with different weaves. This is AGAIN one of the best I've seen covering this! MORE PLEASE :) so glad I found your channel! Do you have a patreon account?
Thank you Dawn! I've only the two weave videos at the moment, but I'm sure I'll be adding in the future! Funnily enough, I only heard of Patreon recently, so only just at the point of considering creating an account. So watch this space!
That is so beautiful but a lot of work
I guess that's subjective! The wraparound weaves are pretty quick to create, relative to others. I probably spend more time deciding what weave to put where than completing the actual weaves. But I'm biassed anyway - making jewellery is too much fun to really consider 'work'!
Lily-Tree 👍🏻
My lady... You rock. I would adore to follow you in Instagram. Thanks.
Aww, thank you! I'm not on instagram (yet!) but thinking about it!
Molto interessante grazie mille 😊
Grazie!
Nice

🙏🏻💙🌟🌻
You go too fast and its hard to tell which wires you're actually wrapping and which direction you're going
Thank you!!!
As a beginner I’m so grateful for left handed instructions. Thanks for wonderful, concise tutorials. Will be looking for new ones. Thanks again.
i'm a leftie too! first thing i noticed lol
exactly! same here! i am a lefty and been doing my wrapping as the right handed tutes show...its killing me, but im not sure i can switch to the proper way for lefties or not now that ive learned the other way!
Sherry Ross why is togethe
I didn't even realize that's why I loved this video so much till I read these comments 🎉 I'm lefty too
Thank you!
I love that you are a lefty. This has helped me immensely.
Beautiful! I want to start craft with wires and your tutorial is exactly what i needed. Great job! And thank you ❤
So lovely! Thank you. How do you have such beautiful nails? Mine all broke off doing the wire work. Of course, I guess I could use my tools once in a while, lol.
Peace. ✌️✨💖✨💎✨
New subscriber.
I have some acrilyc nails, they work fine for me
Hello. Could you tell me the gauge of the wires? thank you.
Hello.. what wire guages do you use in this video? ☺️☺️☺️
Hello! Very clearly presented. Love your tutorials. I’m new to this and have a question. Is the wire you’re weaving working off a spool?
I love the love you put into this. I have learned so much and going to create a few long one to have ready when I need them. God Bless and Thank you.
Reminds me of my mothers knit one perl one 'patterns'!
l love weaving the wire and its great to watch the different ways of using this thank you so much
Like your video.....
This is the best video I have come across for these techniques! Thank you!
This is so helpful. I appreciate the pacing of the demonstration and explanation of what was done!
Very nice spacing you have put on this.
Nice, creative and helpful!
youre an OG im tryna sort out a prezzie for mum this xmas and this is gonna help 1 hunno thanks
One of the best videos for beginners. You explain it so clearly. Thank you so much. Greets from germany :)
how long should I make my wrapping wire? I understand it will be different for different frame wire lengths, but is there a ratio? (ie. 3 lengths of wrap wire for 1 length of frame; etc.)
Thanks for your great videos! One thing nobody on utube is showing us, though, is how to finish off the wire in wire wrapping. Because those tiny wire ends can end up coming up and snagging your clothing. And other things. Even when you smoosh them down they can still come up and snag. In sewing you can run the thread underneath a few of the final ones. But in wire wrapping it's too tight to run your last bit back under a few stitches and then snip it off. Any suggestions?? Thanks 😊
Clip the wire with a small pair of cutters just as it exits from between the base wires at the end of your weaving. The closer you can clip it, the less it will snag.
Whar a great video this is. As a beginner, I'll have to watch and pause it a few dozen times but ultimately I will be successful by using this video. Thank you.
Thank you! I think the wraparound weaves are the perfect place to start wire wrapping and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time! 🙂
I mess it up in the first couple steps everytime. I keep pulling the wires together. I try over extending each move before going around and still do.
I remember once watching someone using a bead to keep them apart. Not sure how.
Wow... I just found your channel. Great descriptive instructions for the learner.
Hi there I’m just learning wire weaving. My question is why does it seem my weave is tight while I’m doing it but then it gets loose?
you're a lefty... so weird to watch going backwards from what I do and see.
me encanto que lo hicieras a lo zurdo porqu e a veces me cuesta entender al derecho gracias
Dear
How are you going to put pendant in it ???
U didn't show it???
