Great video! Just wanted to ask if there is any screen door effect on the display, it can be an issue on touchscreen oleds. Also another point, if you’re planning on buying this, get it with 32gb of ram since Lenovo only charges like $80 extra.
Thanks for the review. Were the Geekbench 6 benchmarks done on battery or plugged to power source? Also what power mode was it on? Balanced or Ultra perfomance? Thanks
These were done under performance mode, not sure if battery was plugged into a power source. These were screenshots of the benchmarking I found online. I will be doing my own tests with and without the charger plugged in to see how effecient this machine is.
Very happy with the slim 7x. I have the 32gb 1tb version. A good review but I would say the keyboard is 100x better than the dreadful mac keyboard which is almost unusable
I would be interested to know now that the T14s with the same processor and memory is out how you compare the two and whether you would still go for the yoga slim over the thinkpad
Performance would be identical, it really comes down to the preference and build of the machines. I would go with the thinkpd because I do not use the touchscreen ever
Lenovo wipes the floor with the Macbook. Apples products are way overpriced. This ecosystem nonsense is out of hand, every company has some sort of ecosystem. Every windows laptop has a google chrome browser which syncs everything with that google account
@MannyRataul From the multiple videos shown, it is true. Below are some production apps that are not working due to driver issues: - IntelliJ IDE for Java programmers. - DaVinci Resolve for budget video editors. - Adobe Premier for enterprise video editors. - Linux distros for server software management.
Hello, yoga Slim 7X X Elite 32GB vs M2 Pro 16GB Iam currently deciding which machine to get but aim kinda unsure. Iam a cs student and software developer and the machine should def be powerful enough for my workload. Ty
hey im in a same situation as you but recently i see justjosh livestream on unboxing those snapdragon laptops, it seems to be quite troublesome to install applications. from what i seen things like java jdk doesnt have arm version for download so hardwise side, definitely a beast but software side seems like a hassle for now. in general, do see which applications you need to use and try to search if they have arm version. edit: apple is also having back to school sales rn so prices could be competitive against the yoga 7x
I've been using remote desktop for when I need to do more extensive tasks. I find it works well in most cases. I tried using a MacBook pro. It wasn't a great experience. The OS was difficult to get used to and the battery life takes a huge hit when running a VM on arm.
i hope windows default have time machine like Apple did. i don't like the copilot stuf/i don't need it now, but powerfull backup tool is a matter in windows machine it self. What Apple competitor did usually has a better spec, but efisiensi system Apple better. So 10 core vs 12 core or even a lot of core in othe Apple competitor are actually didn't take too much for efisiensi n better performance. Windows lack on efisiensi and complex UI.
Nice video bro. Subbed. I really like this Laptop and considering coming back to windows after 10 years on Mac. I wish this had the Surface Laptop 7s haptic trackpad. Would be perfect. The surface is really nice but lacks the OLED display.
The big issue with wifi 7 is that it has even less range than 6. It can't penetrate practically anything, so unless you live in a giant and empty box for a home it's a poor solution for most people.
Basic laws of physics, faster speeds will also limit range. Great thing about Wifi 7 that it this adapter is 100% backwars compatible with all other wifi signals so there really is not an issue here.
The non haptic touchpad and the vents on the bottom which can be blocked while using on bed are kind of deal breaker for me which sucks because the screen is so nice,
And the battery life can be few hours. Efficiency is the main strength of ARM based processors. I am sure that Intel and AMD are feeling the heat, because this is 1st Generation chip and Qualcomm has delivered a lot.
Guys, I'm just thinking. Need a new laptop. Up to now I had a Yoga with graphics card. But I've had one of these for at least 5 years and don't buy a new device every year. And now I'm faced with the decision: Yoga with Snapdragon or Yoga with Ultra 7 and RTX 4050. 🤷🏻♂️ , Sometimes I just like to play a game like World of Tanks or PUPG. But it is not the main application. 🤷🏻♂️🤨🤔
I wouldn’t buy this ATM, the software has to improve and have wider adoption. I think ATM the best chips this year will be the Ryzen AI 9 series, great full compatible CPU, the best iGPU and great battery life (promised…). Seeing my Lenovo Go with the Z1 extreme, it is quite possible 😎

Havent had issues with screen door yet, I actually very rarely use the touchscreen
Amazing video sir!! I was in particular looking for Lenovo laptop video. ❤❤
Thanks for watching 🙏
Very informative!!
Great review!! The only thing that stop me from buying this laptop is the copilot recall…I really hope they didn’t release the feature
Thanks for watching! Recall ironically has been recalled and is nit available due to legal concerns, Microsoft dropped it.

1 big criticism of the Snapdragon X Elite laptop is that most productivity apps do not work outside of the Microsoft ones.
Not true, most apps work through emulation. Just not as efficient.

the Snapdragon Elite X blows the M2 chip out of the water and being a software developer, having access to windows applications will be in your favor.

Lenovo keyboards have always been the best in the industry and always better than those from Apple.
Lenovo has been the best for Windows machine but from personal experience and overall consensus I can say that they are on par with Apple, not better.

Yup non haptic touchpad sucks, but tbh I tried the thing in store and it’s not as huge of a dealbreaker as you would think
what is the issue with it being non haptic? it is mechanical, so it has real clicks, doesn't need a fake haptic feedback
also, the heat is a non-issue in balanced mode with normal use. though if you want to game on it you are better off with an Intel or amd laptop
@@bahreiuhanrgae You cannot click anywhere on the touchpad, for someone who is a daily touchpad user this is massive.
