You really need to remember a few things before blindly accepting what Steve says. You can't necessarily credit him for getting the big short right. His firm caught wind of it from a wrong number. Deutsche Bank was trying to call a different firm. They were in the right place at the right time. Goldman revised their estimates of the probability of "recession in the next year" down to 20% this year. Meanwhile bank credit is contracting (credit the banks can get, not credit to consumers) something that only happened two other times in the last ~40 years - 2008. "Big Short" investor Steve Eisman said the sizzling stock market rally of 2023 can run on as long as the US economy stays strong. I’ve been sitting on over $345K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?
People spend their money when they have it. And when they have more money, some people tend to spend it more. You should speak with a financial expert if you wish to improve your financial management.

Joseph, I wouldn't be so bearish about CPRT Copart Inc. High interest rates will affect new/used car sales, but Copart's business is salvage auction where they solve a problem for auto insurance companies trying to dispose of salvage vehicles, and they have pricing power with consumers aiming to save in the auctions -- with annual memberships required to bid. Profit margin is 32%, net. Forward PE is 33. The nearest competition RBA (RB Global, better known as Richie Bros) is much smaller and trying to integrate an acquisition of the competitor to CPRT.

I've been looking into CP and CNI but these are Canadian companies. What do you think? Hi Joseph, can you cover at some stage the recent inflation data which looks like housing and energy the only two things keeping inflation above the 2%, if the government raises rates surely there’s only pushes up the cost of housing does the opposite of what they’re actually trying to do, anyway, just keen on your thoughts
The fact that Robert Kyosaki said it doesn't make it true. Good video and content. This video makes it easier for me to follow what Dave Ramsey preaches. Buy in cash, that way this whole fiasco with interest rates won't apply to you.
How will housing go down? People with 3% mortgages are not selling. Artificially low rates for 15 years ruined the housing market for another decade. If you bought pre-2020, you are sitting pretty. Today's buyers are out of luck for years.
If you won't buy a company that's struggling with interest rates now, when would you buy it? When rates go down and the company stock is already up? Now is the time to be buying auto stock, solar stock
TL;DL Sell the stocks that provide financing for discretionary spending and replace with companies that need financing regardless of how high rates are.
Depends if people were living paycheque to paycheque. Things are getting tight. Small businesses are affected by interest rates too. More things will be affected than you all think and it'll be a trickle down effect. Credit cards are being used more because savings are being depleted. If we get higher for longer. Beware I take what influencers say on Main Stream with a grain of salt. Do you think he really cares about "the people"? They are all saying one thing and doing the exact opposite. The yield curve hasn't even un-inverted yet. There's plenty of data to say a recession is coming.
In terms of the consumer, here is a thought. When your finances purchases are put in hold, the opposite of what is expected might often occur: you say what the heck, I can't afford a house even if I save for a down payment so I might as well take that trip, buy that thing etc. High interest rates might lead to lower asset price increases yet contribute to inflation in consumer goods. Maybe?
Before you even start I can say banks are a no go, no matter their earnings and the consumer will continue to consume. Americans will not be deprived of their toys. They always find a way.

Regardless of whether or not she outperforms i will always stay invested as her methods alone with keeping investors in touch with their strategies and outlooks are something that so few managers are capable of and they should follow suit
@12:50 But that is not what you are doing at all, Joseph. Being 100% invested in equities right now is not taking a step back, being humble, acknowledging you don't know what's going to happen. Your stance is indicative of someone who believes in the no landing, crisis averted, a new multiyear bull run has started, yolo the dip ya'll. @12:10 Its not all long or all short, all in or all out, only get into these types of stocks and stay away from all those types of stocks. This is why your portfolio cannot beat the market.
While I wouldn't invest in the housing market, the housing market can continue to profit in the U.S. for a long time. There are simply too few homes. Where are people going to go? WB also invested lately in DHI. More likely they don't need a pool or wont use it anymore (Recurring Revenue fall away). Copart is also not a bad value in this environment. You can get a better deal than buying a new car directly from the dealer. People who need a car and are short on cash are more likely to go to Copart than the dealer around the corner.
WOW! You are SO FAR OFF on the price of solar panels. It cost me $8K for all the required parts and materials which I installed. Many people CAN do this but, they CHOOSE not to.
A good portion of these guys are, but because they are rich or manage hundreds of millions they are given screen-time. Burry has been wrong over and over, Ackman making mistakes, All these big guys have made huge mistakes, almost nobody has this magic touch that can beat the Index over 10 years, and nobody 30 years.
Commoners live fulfilled and happy lives, caring for people and loved by others, contributing to society at all levels. I've been thinking of going that route, been holding on to a bunch of stocks that keeps thinking and I don't know if to keep holding or just dump them, think your Fin-coach could guide me with portfolio-restructuring
Yes My mentor Camille Anne Hector has extensive training and knowledge in the financial industry. She is regarded as an authority in the field and has an in-depth understanding of portfolio diversification. I advise doing more study on his credentials. she is a great resource for anyone looking to understand the financial market because of her extensive experience.
Wow I know Camille. Her platform maintains a unique perspective and is very transparent with their investors.
This is why your portfolio cannot beat the market.
man learning wen to buy and who to buy take a time to larn unless u watch ur vids thanks again for another good Vid
You are the best!
All hell is about to break loose. Stay in stocks at your own risk.
Nobody buys cars with cash. Ya tell that to Dave Ramsey 😂
If you do not know what you are doing by investing in bank sector just buy the vanguard etf that track bank sector that it
There is no savings out there and were running everyone to the edge of bankrupcy. Everything runs at the margins and it will all come.
WOW! You are SO FAR OFF on the price of solar panels. It cost me $8K for all the required parts and materials which I installed. Many people CAN do this but, they CHOOSE not to.
Did he talk about the billions of banks unrealized losses in bonds?
i hear "crash predictions" all the time i will belive it when i see it no point in worrying about a crash that doesent even happen.
No one knows the future. Beware of fortune tellers.
The hubris on this guy…Steve Eisman I meant
If you cannot afford to buy it in cash, you cannot afford it.
Large institutions know what’s coming, which is why the yield curve inverted. 🤔😅🤷🏽♂️
Excellent!
I can say there is a recession in my house 😅
Good common sense advice, just how I like it! Thank you for doing this video.
he's a one hit wonder.
Most of these ultra-rich are only tolerated because of their wealth, and ultimately they end up broken shells and don't know who likes them for real and not just because of their money. @@kurniawanms2
I'm sure you're not alone in that assessment. However, guys like him and of course the grandaddy of them all Jeremy Grantham made their rep decades ago and just keep flailing around with new predictions, hoping lightning will strike twice.@@kurniawanms2

"Just keep buying" - US Economy, 2023🤔
Short investors speak a language called: opposite speak.
Everything they say is opposite of there true answer.
when the market freeze then sellers that wait a long time start to chase the market from behind lowering the price slowly. Not a crash just a long slow bear market
TV doesn't put out much info ... It's just entertainment ... To post adverts ..
What are the best strategies to protect my portfolio from a crash? I've heard that the market crash will devastate the financial market, so I'm concerned about my $200k portfolio.
have you guys seen the market lately? My stock portfolio has taken quite a hit, My tech stocks have been plummeting. And also my energy sector investments have also been suffering. I have lost almost $120K in my stock portfolio. it's been a rough ride.
Nobody knows whats going to happen. PHD's in economics is only guessing.
"👌 excuse me 👌👌 there is zero percent chance 👌zero👌 that your sub peime losses stop at five percent" legend
The market will clap. Only because money supply growth has been negative, the lag is real.but the result is the same.
Read the book, "Fooled by Randomness". Pretty much says it all, if you can get through it.
We are fine/flat for the next 10 years
