Trail Project: Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler G6 Build / Upgrade Series - Episode 14

- After noticing some steering weakness from the Hitec servo, I decided to upgrade to a more powerful PowerHD servo. It's got more than double the power at the same price and with it being black, it's a bit more discrete when mounted on the axle. Just a simple installation in this video, but the next episode is a big one, so stay tuned!

Thanks for watching.
Mines lasted me 10 years no word of a lie and also great video
Thanks for watching and leaving feedback. I've never had a servo fail on me yet, on any of my RCs. Must be lucky I guess.
I've got a few PowerHD servo's in my collection (among some Hitec, Spektrum and Savox ones - sadly no Futaba's) and have no complaints - they've been working very well for me and as you say, they are very nicely priced (more like very aggressively priced). They do seem to be a little more power efficient then the Savox's when comparing as similar as possible models. I've seen a few reports on various forums from people saying to double check to ensure they were greased properly before putting into service. I did, and mine where fine.
I'll take note of that when I fit the new horn, it's not too much hassle to remove it and take it apart. It worked fine when I went to Black Rocks though. I wont be buying anther Savox or Hitec servo again. I think you pay the extra for the name.
Because you’re running a crawler why didn’t you go with a savox servo because you can get a 40 kg with tg or titanium gears for like sixty quid
I really dislike Savox servos. I've replaced the one in my drift car because it was extremely loud and constantly twitching. I don't want one with too much torque either. My steering knuckles are a built in breaking point and I think anything higher than 20kg will start breaking them too easily.
