I've seen Seb's battles with Hamilton down the Kemmel straight a million times, but just noticed something about his 2013 pass. He takes a lot of kerb on the first part of Radillion and that gives him a terrific exit. If he doesn't get that exit, he probably doesn't pass Lewis as the Merc definitely had a better PU/straight-line speed.

Ferrari from 2019 was insane on the straights lol
Mercedes being one of the best car on straights got destroyed lol
I suspect Ferrari was terrible everywhere else hence why when they got caught cheating they were so slow.

Essentially what happened was, because they had such a powerful engine in 2019, they put on tons of parts that were super high downforce but super draggy (hence why they were so good in Singapore that year). The OP engine more than made up for the extra drag, but when that engine got taken away, they were left with a super draggy car that didn’t have enough power to make up for it, so they ended up being miles slower on the straights in 2020.

@@zzgaming29 Yeah apparently the 2020 ferrari had downforce levels to rival the mercedes, but the poor engine held back the ferrari and made it way slower and they had to cut back on the downforce to help the drag
