I was born and raised in Malta. All I can say with all the good and bad, I love my home. I've travelled and visited quite a good number of countries abroad even going outside of Europe last year. Even though all these travels gave me unique experiences and will continue to travel throughout the years, Malta will always be my home, the place I'll come back to. I love the sunny weather, the sea, the beaches and our beautiful scenery that I will never get tired of. Once again, well done with the video Alex. You're doing an awesome job.
I lived in Malta as a child in the 70s. Spoke the language, went to public schools. Was Baptized, had my 1st Communion and Confirmation at St Lawrence in Birgu. I didn't even really think of myself as an American until we moved back to the US in 1980. I was never a whole person again. I left part of my heart and soul in Malta. Not a week goes by that I don't miss it and I'm 52 years old.
Alex since your UA-cam channel in Malta is growing a lot and a lot of people recognise you on the streets, I think you can make a positive impact towards our community. The cleanliness issue is the one bothering most of us. As a country with huge amount of tourists and even local resident number skyrocketing some areas are getting dirty and the authorities are not keeping up with this and fail to retain it clean. I would really like if you can do something about it for example organize a clean-up event, where we as viewers can join. I would personally make donations to organize an event and many others will. Promote it on your social media accounts and make a video of what we do. Maybe in the future you can partner up with local organizations that focus on environmental issues to support and promote their initiatives.
I am honestly so happy to see your comment and guess what, i have that as a video idea in April 😊and it is going to be with a “twist” do you mind if you can text me on instagram ?
HI Nick & Alex, GOOD IDEA. However, correct me if I'm wrong, I thought they already organise a "Let's Do It Malta - National Clean Up Day" every September? 🤔. Also, as far as I'm aware Malta takes part in "World Clean Up Day" as well. Don't think they'll find volunteers to do weekly/monthly cleanups etc. IMO it's the GOVERNMENT's (incl Local Govt) job and "duty of care" to clean up, campaign against "littering & dumping", introduce NEW HARSH LAWS against "littering & dumping" AND PROSECUTE the perpetrators without fear or favour. . Only then one might see a change 🙏. Take care. Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™
Is litter the problem? People being pigs throwing random trash on the street and beaches or is it a problem with the government not being able to stay on top of it? We have a lot of groups here in California like “Heal the Bay” that get out and clean up trash. There are a lot of volunteers. Maybe you guys can get organized.
I cannot stand people that litter. This nation seems so wonderful and the people seem so nice. The only drawbacks I gathered is litter and roads which the former can be easily solved.
You smashed it Alex......I feel like I was in Valetta with you!!!.... I have that inner smile when I watch you.....your energy is infectious...well done ..loved it!
4:32 Italian guy is so right. You send a CV in Italy. Ninety per cent of the time, they reply when you forgot about them. Cool thing about this video is, it is the first time I heard a Maltese accent. It sounds very cute
I've visited Malta recently and really enjoyed it (thank you Alex for the tips in all your videos 😉). From my outside perspective I very much agree with the Maltese people's opinions: The weather/climate, people and the mix of cultures is the best part of Malta. The biggest problems are the traffic, the roads, the public transport and the garbage on the streets.
Thanks for your videos, Alex. You're doing an awesome job with your YT channel. I'm actually living in Malta (2 months) and you helped me a lot. You seems to be a genuine guy who loves his country and his work. Please continue in this way :D I'm from Italy and at the moment the only thing i hate (or better: that I like less) is construction. I live in Gzira and here there's a lot of worksides that ruin the Malta's magic atmosphere. The thing I like the most is that there's absolutely NO Crime. It's awesome to go all around the city with absolutely no fear about something bad could happen. Unfortunately I can't say the same about my old country, Italy :( Thank you Alex to show me this beautiful place

I felt the positive energy from you and from everyone you spoke with. Unfortunately, here in Denmark, speaking and peace in the street is considered strange and unnatural.
Love what you do....Can you please interview foreign Nurses working and living in Malta which can give us a clue of what to expect before applying for Nursing job.
Malta is one of my favorite holiday spots. I've been there a couple of times What I love about Malta: The culture, its history, the architecture and I want to give a go of learning the language, at least tourist level What I don't like about Malta: Also the transport and traffic. I've been asked to leave the bus many times, cause it got too crowded or a bus just drove past the stop, also because the bus was too full. The entire public transport system needs a serious update. And it's always so busy and stuffed with cars. Make the roads better and more safe so people maybe can take the bike or scooter or whatever. Just stop taking the car all the time.
Alex your videos are excellent and very informative as I will be retirering to Malta in a few years to a country that I have been going to from the UK since the 80's could you do a couple of videos for people of retirement age as a lot of friends of mine watch your videos thanks Scott
People complain quite a lot about roads, but they obviously don't remember or know how crap they were before! The main arterial roads aren't so bad anymore. I wish to see more effort in resurfacing town roads.
Your not wrong, this is by far one the best videos. I enjoyed it so much! The look on the people’s face when you walked up to the statue and starting talking to it 😂
What I like English is spoken everywhere, nice views everywhere, plenty of history, Maltase are conservative but friendly people. And what I don't like are inequality in salaries, institutions are not working properly, expenses of rents and living are going up for whatever happens on planet Earth.
The fact that you made all these people smile speaks a lot about you as a person, I am obsessed with your energy❤️
Thank you so much❤️

The capital, Valletta, is a living and breathing 16th-century citadel where you can feel history and also have great fun in the countless bars, restaurants, and clubs. The atmosphere is definitely Mediterranean with a discreet British touch, the best of both worlds. The hilly terrain with steep slopes can be arduous at times, but it's perfect for maintaining one's fitness :). A lot of people running, a lot of people scuba-diving, the crystal-clear waters are teeming with colorful fish and there is a lot to see under the water. There are no seabirds though, which seems peculiar to me. One thing that I didn't like is that cities are too densely packed for my taste, with narrow streets bordered by tall buildings and hardly any vegetation, but I guess it's something you get used to. Traffic can be challenging at times, and if you need a car it better be a small one. And, of course, housing costs are pretty high, but that's expected for a small, highly desirable place. Hey hey. Thank you so much :) i wish you good luck with your move, Gozo is majestic, hope yo see you on my next visit in Gozo
@@AlexinMalta Thanks Alex, see you then 🤗❤️
I felt the positive energy from you and from everyone you spoke with. Unfortunately, here in Denmark, speaking and peace in the street is considered strange and unnatural.
Welcome to Malta ❤ the land of positivity
Come to Malta 🙂 You can have a chat with anyone in the street 😁❤️

Beautiful country. 🇲🇹💪
Indeed

Love what you do....Can you please interview foreign Nurses working and living in Malta which can give us a clue of what to expect before applying for Nursing job.
Great video in beautiful Valetta! Though I was amazed that some think the public transport is bad - you should come to the UK! 😂
Never experienced the transport in UK :)
Malta is one of my favorite holiday spots. I've been there a couple of times
What I love about Malta: The culture, its history, the architecture and I want to give a go of learning the language, at least tourist level
What I don't like about Malta: Also the transport and traffic.
Great video it made me feel happy and miss Malta (Gozo).
Glad you enjoyed it
You're the reason why I have UA-cam installed on my phone. Auahahahah. Epic video
I am sending you a biiiig hug. Comment like yours is a reward for a creator! Honestly
Good job @alex sir 🤞💐💝👌👌💝💐💐💐💐💐💐👌👌
❤️❤️❤️
Loved it Alex
Alex your videos are excellent and very informative as I will be retirering to Malta in a few years to a country that I have been going to from the UK since the 80's could you do a couple of videos for people of retirement age as a lot of friends of mine watch your videos thanks Scott
Hey Scott, thanks a lot. Yes, retirement in Malta is going to be in my opxoming videos :)
People complain quite a lot about roads, but they obviously don't remember or know how crap they were before! The main arterial roads aren't so bad anymore. I wish to see more effort in resurfacing town roads.
The roads are bad for 2023
Your not wrong, this is by far one the best videos. I enjoyed it so much!
The look on the people’s face when you walked up to the statue and starting talking to it 😂
Haha thanks ❤️❤️
You are so jovial 🎉and kind

wonderful place, malta
Alex you make the best videos on Malta, And you are a great Anchor too. But, if you shoot your videos in 24fps its will make it more cinematic 🤩.
I record in 60fps :)
@@AlexinMalta oh it's okay... But Alex, no hearts for me uh?🤭
Where I was 😢 when u were in Velleta 😅 let me know next time 🎉😂
What I like English is spoken everywhere, nice views everywhere, plenty of history, Maltase are conservative but friendly people. And what I don't like are inequality in salaries, institutions are not working properly, expenses of rents and living are going up for whatever happens on planet Earth.
My favourite country Malta ..love from Bangladesh
