Well, I’ve never been rock crawling, but 45+ years ago I was the queen of the mud runs, driving a red CJ5, with flames painted on the hood and doors. She had a name too, but I’ve matured a little since then, so I won’t say what it was. Lol. I could throw a rooster tail like no other, often covering whatever vehicle was behind me. I was paralyzed in a fire in 1978, so that ended my mud run days, but the memories are with me so strong it seems like yesterday, and I can’t help but smile, remembering. 😊
😄 I grew up in Moab. We used to go out in the hills for a picnic and watch the train of Jeeps go by for our entertainment. We could hit the trails any time we wanted after the crowds were gone. Thanks for taking us along. It's been a few years since I was back.
Wow!! You really had some awesome rides on truly gnarly obstacles and what great footage!! EVERYONE watching that EVER had a 4×4 is now thinking, "I GOTTA TRY ROCK CRAWLING!!!" Way to go Trent!! 100,000 fans of T&A and TG will be at the next meet!🤦😃😄😂
In your last video on your other channel, I heard you say you rented your Jeep in Moab, so I am sure they would know what you are doing with it. Sorry for thinking otherwise. I bet it cost you extra, though 😉. I can't wait to see you do this with the crawler you are building. Like you say, that will be the REAL fun, to see how well you created your own.
I built a 6 point roll cage for my CJ5 years ago, over 35 and had a ball with my Jeep here in Hawaii. Other mods was an Offenhauser manifold for a 4 barrel carb ( Holley ) vac secondaries 600 CMF, engine was a straight 6. Header from Hedman, remote oil filter dual filter from Summet racing. Had a great time in the jeep for a few years and sold it when my daughter came into the world, would have it no other way. Now she has a Nissan 4 wheel truck and has a ball doig the smae things i did years ago when she gets to her favorite surf spots around the Island.
That was awesome, except I forgot to breathe a couple of times and I'm sitting in my chair in my living room! I loved watching it but I could never do it!
Omg! so many different custom outfits that are so incredible to see them driving up those steep hills that have some scarey bumps and dips. And Trent you are one of the incredible drivers as well. Wow I gotta say all of you drivers are really good at driving these hills and all of those rocks. I have to be honest I don't like all of those dang rocks that you have to climb, they are so narlee and look so dangerous. So scarey that you had a rollover, oh goodness this would be a place that I wouldn't want to check out, but thanks for this video on all of this crazy fun you all had. Have a blessed rest of your day, stay safe, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🤗💜💜💜
Oh my goodness!! I don't mind watching you guys do that, but you couldn't pay me enough money in the world to get into one of those buggies.. it scared me to death.. lol awesome video..
Gemini bridges trail from rte 313 to hwy 191 in my 4x4 agile MB sprinter. Epic, BUT, Learned to stay off “easy” jeep trails. Bet you can relate 😂 good job Trent. Just subbed here. Congrats on Billy, another mini-you!
🦋 this was a great video. I’m so glad you got a chance to go out there and drive the buggy. It was nice hearing that you are taking videos of certain things, and getting ideas of what you canning cannot do with your build, I was wondering about that. It was amazing watching this video. Thanks again.
Oh my goodness Trent that was breathtaking but also scary there's no way I would have done that but I hope those guys gets their vehicles where they can get out of there but knowing them they will love the channel thank you for sharing you doing some rock with the vehicles God bless you see you in your next
Tht was so freaking cool 👍 Trent, I think after tht thing broke a 2nd time I would have been like, nope I’m def not gonna be the one tht does tht AGAIN, 🤣🤣 I can’t wait to see ya get urs built and see u out on those trails, it’s gonna be soooo bad azz 💯👍 I’ve never been out on anything like this, but I would def love to. Now on a 4 wheeler yeah I’ve been in some pretty sketchy places, LoL. But hey thts the fun of them, right 😁
Trent, I love your content. Just remember the ranking of what gets views; Leo, Allie, the dogs, Brandon, Dean, and then you. Sorry my friend. LOL. Keep it up!
The roads are so bad in California that your Poison Spider Trail is simply a morning commute for us. Welding vendors line the side of the road, others with signs that say the "Cheapest bearing replacement in the valley."
This is nuts! I do not understand this at all. I get C that designing a rig is cool but the actual driving of these rigs is what eludes me completely. You have guts! The views are magnificent.
You little adventure in the buggy should show you that when building your Toyota, you need to have a good amount of space for 'emergency parts' and tools........
You might want to think about a super strong “blower box” to feed a larger turbo. Maybe a GMC 471, and use the waste gate (at a, relatively, low pop-off) to enhance a larger, SINGLE turbo. A v-6 isn’t going to spool-up a larger turbo, by its exhaust, alone. Do the math and let the turbo be the main source of compression enhancement, and let the blower do the low RPM work. Get in touch with a “blower” guy, set the gear clearances wider, and you’re gonna have to come up with a way to shut off higher pressure (higher RPM) to the head intakes, and force it to the in side of the turbo(s).
I know of a couple from Oklahoma that bought a razor and started rock climbing like this. Well, it all stopped when they turned over and almost lost two of their children. Needless to say, that was the end of the rock climbing days. Be careful Trent. Please.
So Trent, does that show you the things you need to have on your fig? When that happens to you, you will have the stuff on your rig to fix it.. A welder for sure. 😊
In the old days of NHRA, they used to check cubic inch displacement (in Gas and Pro Stock classes) by a “P&G”. They plugged a pressure line into a sparkplug hole and measured the volume of air, through a cylinder revolution. We used to cheat by drilling a tiny hole into each cylinder, from INSIDE the block, that would intersect the inside of each cylinder, and screw in a small “set-screw” with a hole drilled through it. This let enough air out of the cylinder to lower the volume of air, to what we needed. I was thinking that a similar system, on the outside of the block, with MUCH larger holes, could be the delivery of air from the blower. Put reverse-detent balls in each line. When the turbo pressure increases cylinder pressure to a pressure GREATER than blower-aided pressure, the detents will close, utilizing the greater pressure afforded by the turbo, and releasing the parasitic horsepower that turning a blower produces. (You’ll need a sprag system for the blower pulley).
That is some awesome stuff your doing Trent, pretty damn cool. So what happens if a person's rig completely fails and can't be repaired on the trail, Like a completely blown engine? Is there a lift helicopter service to bring the rig out by air? Just curious.🤔
"Rock Lizard!" PERFECT name!
Your energy is contagious and the constant smile on your face says it all.

Sounds like you have some great memories to look back on, you go girl!!
Wow, that is some next level rock crawling. Thanks for taking us along.
This is why Trent enjoys getting people out of the snow and also why he’s so good at it
OMG! that's so intense just watching. I've never watched anything like this. Wild! Thanks for sharing.

I hope that your car rental company isn't watching, like your building inspector was. 👀😱🤯🤣😂🙃🙃😆

Ahhh I didn’t know you were in Moab! We should have met up! Thomas and company are awesome people! 🎉

Hahaha...a few nail biting moments!! Good times.
Trent, you gotta build a rock climbing lizard!!! Right when I think No Way, the lizard buggy completely surprises me! This video was jaw dropping.

Can’t wait to see the Tacoma on the rocks!
That was awesome, except I forgot to breathe a couple of times and I'm sitting in my chair in my living room! I loved watching it but I could never do it!

The best "Trent's Garage" video yet, and we never even saw the garage. Now that is saying something.
🦋 this was a great video. I’m so glad you got a chance to go out there and drive the buggy. Great content trent ..👍👍👍
Trent, I love your content. Just remember the ranking of what gets views; Leo, Allie, the dogs, Brandon, Dean, and then you. Sorry my friend. LOL. Keep it up!
I have done a little off-road 4 wheeling, but never anything like this. That looks like so much fun and I can see how it could get addictive.
Big tire garage in the background around 10:30. That’s fun
Great day for you Mr Trent.
The roads are so bad in California that your Poison Spider Trail is simply a morning commute for us. Welding vendors line the side of the road, others with signs that say the "Cheapest bearing replacement in the valley."
All that articulation is exaclty what land rovers are missing.
Amazing to see what his lizards are capable of.
Awesome Trent appreciate you taking us with your
Man I love watching that articulation!
You need to come to SoCal for King of the Hammer’s sometime. We have a 4 seat off road car. Grew up in Ocotillo Wells and Glamis. Good Times
Using Rental Jeep makes me nervous. Pretty challenging terrain for even the most well built rigs.
Great video Trent!👍🏻
Yeah Trent, you're gonna want a buggy now!!! 😀
This is nuts! I do not understand this at all. I get C that designing a rig is cool but the actual driving of these rigs is what eludes me completely. You have guts! The views are magnificent.
9:55 just beautiful pic!
Well Trent...ya done messed up and drove an all steer buggy... might as well sell that Tacoma build and go all in!
Off road does take you to some great places and views, looks like you had a great time
That was exciting.
You little adventure in the buggy should show you that when building your Toyota, you need to have a good amount of space for 'emergency parts' and tools........
Coolest video I've seen today. 🎉
That was cool too watch ty sir
Gutsy doing Moab in a hired Jeep. Did you get through without any body damage to the Jeep.

Are you referring to Daniel from ArmsFamily Homestead?
So the place you rented the jeep from knows you do this with it?
Like Holly in Mischief maker says, no substitute for seat time.
Love this video! So cool!
So Trent, does that show you the things you need to have on your fig?

Good video!!! 😊❤
To much stress for me. 😂😂
Awesome content Trent👍✌
Also, Curious where you rented your jeep.
Loved it!!
Have to get those satellite radio’s being in the back country with no service.
Trent - Did you have to pay big 💰for insurance on the Jeep rental? Looks pretty hairy but fun!
That is some awesome stuff your doing Trent, pretty damn cool. So what happens if a person's rig completely fails and can't be repaired on the trail, Like a completely blown engine? Is there a lift helicopter service to bring the rig out by air? Just curious.🤔
We have lost drive ability in vehicles before, and just winch them back down the trail!
That was awesome
Looks like a blast!
😁
Definitely our next project, a Rock-crawler. Lizard or what ever it's name is..
I'm not a big fan of off road but it looks really interesting and I'm a big fan of you
How is the jeep or like vehicles have all wheels drive like front & rear differentials locked?
Very brave people.
That was fun thanks
To fun!!❤
I'm wondering how the car rental agency would react watching this video?
LOVE THE VIEW!
Trent you can’t have too many Moto Toys.
Woooow 👍🤔
Curious what you will name the Taco Rig?!?! Looking forward to the reveal!
👍👍👍👏👏🍀
