Rory ... all of your regular viewers have seen all that you do to protect the trails and keep them safe and clean, there was never any doubt that all the oil and trash was cleaned up before you guys left ... Thanks for all you do to keep the area clean and preserved.
I have never seen anyone cleaning the liquids. If this truly happens how about before and after pictures. This is an issue that should be documented so proof can be shown to those that want to shut down the trails.
@@bobross4237 I would bet they have footage they just don't put it in the final edit. Editing is costly and time consuming so pick and choose I'd say.
If you're out there doing what everybody else is doing, you better have a good roll bar, because it can make the difference between walking away and being carried away.
Thanks for taking us along!! This way we don't have to get hot, cold, dusty, muddy, brokedown, in the way, tired, dirty, sand in EVERYTHING, wet, windblown, buttbusted, or hangry!!
Hate that you have to mention the debris oil , anti-freeze ect was cleaned up WHEN YOU ARE THE ONLY OFF ROAD TOW CHANNEL THAT OFFERS A TRAIL TRASH BAG. HELLO OUT THERE You boys are too cool 😊 ❤ 😊
Wrecked gear makes a point to show trash pick up in every vid. Too bad it’s necessary. Once, in Billings Canyon I FILLED the passenger floor and part of the back seat with junk and trash and signs of idiot-amongus. That trail is 1 mile more or less. Sad
Go figure, "My good deed" cleaning up a local trail to me. I rolled my 4wheeler end over end 4 or so rolls. I was just doing a trail cleanup while breaking it in. It's really "broke in" with over 5000 in damage. I could point out who the litter bugs are, but to no ends they are the same ones wanting the trails closed to motorized vehicles. Easily figured out, beer cans, bottles and some other stuff. Any and all motorized vehicles get searched for alcohol beverages, with hefty tickets.
Phew... glad it is just weights and NOT another motor... thank goodness for strong roll cages... just bumped his head... was the driver belted in??? and I knew your team would clean up the mess on the trail... you always do 🤩 Thanks Mike for helping out on your day off... true team spirit 🙂 Thanks for the invitation into your work and sharing the day 🙂
If he wasnt belted in you would not see a video of the recovery. It would have been fatal. Rory has mentioned before that he does vehicle recoveries like that but does not record them.
Chevy starters are infamous for their shortcomings. The sound it made had me worried that the blower bearings were in trouble, easy fix. gets a guy in a better mood if his rig is proper. Roll cage money well spent. I was going to mention the pulling power of the Buggy, awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Buggy impresses me every time on long hauls, it's ability to pull stuff considering it's weight; it also does awesome putting power down on low traction climbs; little to no axle hop, all power to the ground. Great rig.
Rory, just so you know. It truly is a bucket list item to hear you say, ”Want to ride along.” The knowledge of the area you are in is amazing. Let alone the repairs and recoveries 🙏❤️😎🤙
Fantastic job showing how to pull a anchor ⚓️ through the trails. Thanks for fixing Ol' Blue, that noise was briving me nuts😢 As always great job Mike on capturing the moments live. Team TrailMater rules.....🎉
Beautifully controlled recovery.. Nicely Done The added tid-bit of clean-up wasn't necessary for those of us that know how much you Care about the trails... Though it was appreciated Everyone must do better while out in the wilderness to keep it clean and cleaner than they found it.
9:20 Good to know it was just the starter housing. Sounded like rod was knocking. It's a special feeling when you're cruising along and "Where'd the road go?!! OH CRAP!!!"
First time on those trails is best done as a passenger with an experienced driver. The trails are full of those "where's the road?!" Panic spots. Lol. I only ever was a passenger. No confidence to drive them.
Nice recoveries. Never a doubt in mind that the trail was cleaned up afterwards. That buggy really had the stuff to get the job done. Many years of figuring out what works. Thanks for sharing.
Some more great recovery's by Rory and Mike! Old Blue got a new starter that Rory fixed from dragging on the flywheel and the Buggy struggled a little with the Jeep Gladiator that was a tough pull getting it out of there, but the Trail Mater team got er out!
Good morning Rory I agree with you the Buggy is a beast. I like how all of the recovery vehicles you have can be used on all most all recoveries they are capable of handling anything
You people don’t know how blessed with the most beautiful place to live and work. Most of us live in a or near a desert place. Most of the country is such . Only God has given man enough brains to find a little water. Thanks for the videos, I will enjoy every one as long as they are there or I am here.
Thanks for putting in the comments that oil and trash were cleaned up. You know someone would have commented negatively. Ouch poor Gladiator broke. That a 24 model year. Ouch. Great job
The noise sounded like baseball cards in your bicycle wheel spokes. I feel bad for the driver of the Jeep. That rollover had to have been scary. Great recovery and great video as always.
This had to be two of your more amazing videos. Freak’n nuts getting that Jeep upright again. And pulling that Gladiator out of there was no small feat. And you treat what you do like “just another day at the office”, but what you do for the environment and the community is no small thing and I’m sure much appreciated by the citizens of Moab and off-roading community.
spotters.. same going over sand hills..or rivers, streams, walk it first. join a reg. 4x4 club, with trainers, like we have in aus.. with books to sign off sht you do..
Thanks for a great video. That roll cage installed in that jeep saved the day. Glad no one was badly injured. Wow! I am amazed at the unforgiving terrain that you work in daily. Basically "You Could Die" if not paying attention while out recreational wheeling". Carry On saving folks rigs and being Safe.
I used to rebuild starters going back 35+ years ago. If you can or if you see etc…. There are the aluminum and also cast iron nose cones for Chevy starters plus different shims. I’m sure you know all about it…. The cast iron ones were always hard to keep in stock but worked quite often for the noises that you’re dealing with……. But hay I’m sure you know way more than me now. Have a great day sir👍 it’s all about how that starter drive engages with the flywheel teeth ,especially on big blocks. If you have a cast iron housing (those were like gold) change it over to new starter it’s easy just need to make sure the solenoid plunger is nice and clean keep extra bushings around ,remove old one oil new one and put back together easier than hell. Hope I didn’t say too much. Sounds quiet after your fix also….
My luck the new starter would have busted the weight off the flywheel and caused all sorts of destruction. If it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all! I'm glad you clarified it when you did though, not gonna lie it had me a little worried. Thank's for sharing!
Rory ... all of your regular viewers have seen all that you do to protect the trails and keep them safe and clean, there was never any doubt that all the oil and trash was cleaned up before you guys left ... Thanks for all you do to keep the area clean and preserved.
But the haters would have had a field day if he didn't mention it....
Facts
Was that another Chevy quality starter?
I have never seen anyone cleaning the liquids. If this truly happens how about before and after pictures. This is an issue that should be documented so proof can be shown to those that want to shut down the trails.

Whatever the Jeep owner spent on the roll cage was a great investment.
Yeah the factory cage is stout for one good flip then the windshield is in your lap. That cage keep it up where it was supposed to be.
If you're out there doing what everybody else is doing, you better have a good roll bar, because it can make the difference between walking away and being carried away.
For sure saved his skull.
seriously tho, im sure he would be in the hospital if he didnt
Some days I really appreciate a video without music. Thanks Rory!
Yeah, like about 7 days a week, right?
Yeah, I have my own music on in the background anyway
That starter will self clearance given enough time. 😂👍🏼
Self Clearancing Clarence
It sounds like a genuine rattle-trap. 😀

Whoa! The way your mean green buggy machine pulls that gladiator with its huge squishy tires up the steps is jaw dropping 😮

That rollover looked nasty! So glad they had a proper cage to protect the occupants!
Man that buggy is awesome, flat towing that Jeep out like that was just impressive.
Mike to Rory: that last (stacked rock’s) going to make the difference
Mike to customer: you missed the rocks, bud 😂
Rory, you are one hell of a good driver, the buggy did a brilliant job on that recovery, Thank you all for a great video
Man, Ol Blue is a mountain goat! She just climbs! Great job!
Just more fun in the sun for trail mater crew, equals eye candy for us arm chair wheelers like me. lol. Thanks dudes.
The clicking noise sounds like a Card In The Spokes😂
I kinda of thought it sounded like a diamondbilled rockpeckers tooth stuck somewhere.
Or a strategically placed zip tie on the motor.
Not one of the hazard fart ones, a real zip tie.

It’s impressive how well that buggy hooks as light as it is!! I know it’s sandstone. But that 4door is heavy AF!

Great rig.
I'm in a better mood too after you fixed the starter.
Thank you I always learn something from watching you guy well done 👏
Thank you Rory and crew for the adventure and seeing some amazing recoveries !

Rory, Your talents are beyond understanding !
You tolerated that stater/flywheel noise much longer than I would have!! The buggy is definitely a great tigger!!😎💪
Rory and Mike..great recovery!

That green buggy is amazing to pull that Rubicon out like that, OH and great driving Rory.

Two great recoveries. Once again showing your skills in difficult spots. Thanks for what you do and thanks for keeping the trails clean!!!

That guy was lucky with only a bumped head. looks like he has a good roll bar. The green buggy got a workout on the full-size jeep.
That hill is no joke. When we did Hell's Revenge, we asked, "Where did the road go?" It really leaves no room for error.
Plenty of room for terror though!😂
