I am late to the party but I am so glad I came across this ambient example. So many demos focus on bass. This thing can do so much more. Beautiful textures. My Neutron will be under the Christmas tree. With appreciation.

@@SnigFargle Thanks for the reply. Well, I went ahead and put the order in. @@SnigFargle I have the NTS-1 in my shopping basket, it looks a lot of fun to mess around with. However, just looked at 'The Ocean Machine' - now I have to decide! Thanks again for your comments - and the inspiring videos.
What a wonderful demo!! I forgot what I was watching while driving to work.. I bought a model D about 7 months ago as my first synth, then a deepmind 12 about one month ago. I’ve told myself I would hold out on buying another synth until behringer made their EMS clone, but for the price this of course is also unbeatable..
Some of these tones remind me of "The Narrow Way", David Gilmour's signature contribution to the 1969 Pink Floyd album Ummagumma. I've actually heard rumors that he used a Moog mono-synth on that. I think coupled with my Yamaha MX61 with all the nice acoustic sounds I could do some interesting shtuff.
Hard to choose between Model D and this. More work with this one, but Great God Vishnu!...it almost makes pads in mono! 8-() Something tells me your "Big Sky" thing plays a role in that. I'm going to look it up.
I have been working with this synth for a month and find myself getting lost in each journey with it soon I will attempt to capture what happens but each time I start it just goes on and on with this one synth. Peace Christo 👽
Thanks for this great video. Finally some nice and beautiful stuff with the neutron. It’s a powerful machine but too many nerds seems to only make ugly and glitchy sounds with it, just because having an analog synths and turning knobs makes them look cool.
Nice patch thanks, this is the kinda experimentation i need for the neutron. Patch link much appreciated, gonna try tonight, what fx are you using plz? Seems like good ol reverb? The neutron is a Gem cant wait to do some more discovery with it, thanks

I’m very, very late for this, but this is a killer performance. If possible, and if you remember, can you please explain what was the signal input for the Neutron? What was that midi keyboard sending to it? Thank you!
Thanks. The midi keyboard was connected to the Neutron using its input jack. So a note played on the keyboard sends a note value to the Neutron's oscillators.
It might be that I'm brand new to semi modular synthesis and I'm still in the learning stages of my new Neutron, but I followed the patch to a T from Patch Library and it sounds almost nothing like this. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Federico. You'll need a midi keyboard to play the Neutron: I use an Arturia Keystep Pro, which is quite nice. For a first synth that has a keyboard built in, for creating soundscapes, I think a Novation Ultranova or Mininova might be a better choice, as they have effects built in, which I'd say you probably will want.
